It sounds like this one is mastered very differently than the live version, which we heard on the festivals some few months ago.. I love this song, but I honestly think it could have been mastered better (more like the track "Hold On"). Especially the transition from 00:36 to 00:39. You can hear the voice getting overcompressed and the strings aren't really in focus. The leads/synths at the drop dosent really give you the "festival anthem drop feeling". The vocals dominates the instruments/melodies, which isn't my cup of tea. I think an instrumental version of this song would be a lot better! Hold on - Martin Garrix, Matisse and Sadko and Michael Zitron, is a PERFECT mastered track and really gives you the energy. You should listen to that song as well! But once again, I love this song! Amazing track.
When I first heard the song I thought it sounded a little off too. Maybe it’s just me or the live version but it definitely sounds different from the live one for sure. I can’t figure out why
@@ShadowSorra Thats because the Live version was more focused on the instruments and melody idea, not so much on the vocals. Also the beautiful intro string part on the live version was amazing!
I think it's more of a mixing fault. The claps have no energy whatsoever. The drop also doesn't have any energy if you compare this to some of the progressive house made by DubVision. About the vocals getting overcompressed, I think it's fine.
so i did what you said and checked out "hold on" and i agree. i think this track "wont let you go" is awesome but hold on sounds much better in the ways you described. Dragon was another one that sounded super fucking crisp to me.
