- Fortrose Cathedral, exploring its history.
Today we visit Fortrose Cathedral, a truly historic place. It's inception dates back to the early 1200s. It was where the Bishops of the area relocated after leaving Rosemarkie (see previous video)

What a stunning building. I so need to visit there. Thank you for this.
The Black Isle in general is worth a visit. We will return at some stage!
I absolutely love the black isle! So beautiful! Felt so at home where my ancestors lived! great videos! thanks for doing them.
Thanks for watching! The Black Isle is truly beautiful.
Beautiful Building. It's too bad you can't get inside to get a better look. Oh well! I enjoyed seeing what you were able to record. It must have been a beautiful place when it was still in good condition.
I imagine it was quite imposing in it's day
It's a stunning building, and at least it hasn't been completely robbed. It's a pity about the gates right enough. As always, very interesting.
Indeed, there's many in a worse state than this. Would have liked to in and around the memorials though....
@@ExploringScotlandsHistory oh yes, for sure. It's part of the history of the place.
It is beautiful but I agree that it would benice if you could go inside and take a closer look at the monuments.
Yes, unfortunate, but still worth the visit.
