Its just utterly amazing.

I know exactly what you mean bring back the early 90s

My favourite car on the channel yet after watching for the last two years. Massive respect to the owner, what an amazing example he's produced!
When I was 16 I bought a Nove Gte for £200 i was the bees knees round the estate if fucking loved the 90s what a time to be growing up, Helter Skelter tape packs kenwood jacket, air max 90s, kangol hat loved it
Nova 1.3SR here and it was a great laugh in the day. Pioneer head unit and cd changer cruising round with Fat of the land blasting out flexing the sub ;)
its funny cuz things have come full circle and lads are dressing like that again
Kylirr
I still rock 90s and I’m 31 😂
yes badman u dun no
2.0 GLSi Sierra in white which looked like a Cosworth, had it in 1998 and spun the back out of every junction.
Mine was a bit faster than it should have been so might have been messed about with, I could keep up with most things on the straight but I did have a few near misses on the corners when the back stepped out. I would have preferred the faster Astra GTE but those cars were just too much to insure and I like rear wheel drive. To this day I'm still RWD with an E46 330CD and drive like it's 1999.
Being 54,I fully remember when these Astra's came out.
White 16v was the daddy.
Being 39 I remember these wish that I bought a wide arched one of my mate £300 17yrs at the time. Red gte this my favourite car. Would have written off for sure
theze were the choice of the joyriders the 16v was a bullet
trevor jamieson-agard same pal being 39 now I remember being 14 years old & my next door neighbour had a red 16v GTE & I was always pestering him to take me out in it! The thing was insane when he put his foot down! Miss them early to mid 90’s days
@@royalstevep68 true handling wasnt the best but they could shift
bryan me ma had a white GTE I loved the digi dash as a kid.
This is how cars used to be. Torque steer, no electronic dampers, 5 speed no fancy clutches. An accelerator that gives you full power not when a sensor let's you. Need to be a real man to drive
My guy 👌
Yeh you know it,loved both of mine
Yep, cars i grew up with 👍🏻
100% agreed, give me this over a Golf R any day of the week.
Horse power means nothing when you're moving 1500kg of computers around, for pure driving pleasure you need a rock solid chassis with minimum weight, the 90s hot hatches are the place to be for that.
I had an S2 RS Turbo Escort back in the day (‘94) and these Astra GTEs used to kick my arse.. damn them
Tell you what Rick your variety of cars you have on the channel is amazing, high end luxury cars to old school feel Max power days, easily attracting the audience from all different age groups hats off mate doing a great job with the channel.
Even still has the CODE stickers in the windows!! I can remember them lol.

I've got a vauxhall nova gte here, she flys for what she is, had nova's for best part of 20 years! 😂
Want to sell it?
What a beautiful car, it’s a bloody shame they don’t make them like this anymore
Actually this model was one of the main reasons for the downfall of the reputation of Opel/Vauxhall. Basically a rustbucket due to low quality steel.
I think people took my comment wrong when I said they don’t make them like this anymore I meant cars like this, the Renault 5GTT, Peugeot 205 1.9 gti the Nissan pulsar GTIR, the Honda Civic type R with vtec and no turbo, the good old pocket rockets, they don’t make cars like that now unfortunately.
@@bradelliott3751 Oh come on, of course they don't make them like they used to 30 years ago. How could they? But if you want a new hot hatchback, there was never a better time than now. Ford, VW, Renault, Peugeot, Nissan, Toyota, they ALL make some.
@andreas noa my days of little hot hatches are well and truly over I’m afraid, I’m quite happy with my VX-Line insignia for now
@@bradelliott3751 so true miss the good old days remember the mazda 323 4wd turbo
Even the 2.0l 16v 150bhp n/a was a quick car. So god knows what 450 plus is like.
Yeh they were awsome standard brings back memories used to thrash loads of the other top badges of its age but the 205 used top it on the bends lol

Still got a nova 👌😂
What a car, and best of all, not one single hate or negative comment towards it. No trolls or jealous people with bitchy comments, like all the newer cars get on these channels, car scene is full of them, this is the way it should be. Respect 👏
Because no one cares for Opels, sadly.
@@erraldstyler This vid would not exist if that was true, gladly.
Finally someone who actually cleaned their car before being featured on this channel 😂😂😂😂
That's the life of tuner car owners, you're too busy fixing them to clean em 😂
In the early 1990s, South African Kadett GSi's were further upgraded based on their success in production car racing and initially 500 special units were built as road cars for homologation purposes. This was a minimum requirement for entry into the Stannic Group N races. They went against BMW's 325iS (A 2.7 litre homologation special from BMW). They featured more aggressive 276-degree camshafts made by Schrick with 2 different settings for timing overlap (110° and 107°), revised intake and exhaust modifications (4-in-1 branch manifold and freeflow exhaust), Irmscher spring kit, modified engine management system by Promotec, a limited slip differential developed by Andre Verwey and special Aluett 7Jx15-inch ET35 alloy wheels, they were nicknamed the "Superboss" and held the world record for the most torque per litre (114 Nm per litre) for a naturally aspirated car until 2009 being beaten by the Ferrari 458 (117 Nm per litre). After the first 500 units were produced, many more were built to satisfy public demand.
Perfectly quoted from Wikipedia 😂😂

Jeremy Clarkson made it easy for all us to know how to nick a vauxhall if it works the same way as the nova
we got pulled in my brothers nova gte 20 minutes after he bought it new from vauxhall. they thought it was stolen..
Old school at its finest, what a machine, well done Ricky for getting this beast on your channel 👍👍
The best thing of the car is the digi dash, loved them when they were new, like space age technology. You can tell the vlogger is a young un, he hasn’t driven many old motors lol
My mum bought a white GTE when I was a kid in the 90s. I'll never forget when we went to collect it. It was in the showroom spinning on a turntable. It had 5 spoke OZ wheels with Momo harnesses inside. Total icon. I find it hard to look at cars now and visualise what would define an era. They all seem to blend together now. A great video which has left me inspired. Keep the classics coming mate.
Not even watched this yet and its getting a LIKE. Sick SICK car!!!!
Never been a fan of Vauxhalls... until now. What a real gem. Props to the owner for bringing it on the channel.
Yes
This is my favourite review. Congrats to the owner for keeping this running and absolutely mint. What a beast
I worked at a Vauxhall dealer in 95, I was 17 and doing my apprenticeship.. the mechanic who was teaching me had an identical one of these and he took me Newquay with him for a weekend in the summer. On the way down we ended up racing with a RS turbo and a Rover Tomcat, I remember sitting in the back looking at digital speedo reading 139mph and thinking this is the dogs bollox.

Hahaha fair play, 53 years old refusing to grow up. Great vid man!
@STtyrone dont ever let a woman come between you and your motor mate lol.
@STtyrone the only thing that changed at me when getting older is that I dont lower my cars too stupid low now 🤤 a bit less low makes it so much more driveable. Ive broken front anxles etc because I lowered too far 😂 my vw bug was so low that I couldnt even put my hand under it......it looked so nice but I could not drive it on many places. Now its like 65 mm higher and it drives 10 times better. Still planning to put it on airride some day.
Keep your mind young, as your body will get old anyway
@STtyrone I can't afford all that so I ride Motorbikes now 😎
I am 50 and still love the exhaust falling off the Nissan Micra. :) That`s the closet I can get to this car.
ah when Vauxhall actually made cars. Classic Red top engine. Love it.
