Who knew what God had in store approx. 1954-56 when some teenaged brothers sang at First Baptist in Detroit, MI accompanied by pianist Nobel Cates.........and one of them married my cousin's cousin and is the mother of 2 of the group. .. . .
Brenda: I would love to see their mother! I've seen many videos with their father Ron Sr. but would love to see their mom. So grateful she raise them so very well! Were the singing boys the Booth Bros, Ron , Charles and other Bros?
I just reviewed the dvd best of booth brothers. I cried all the way thru. Man what a beautiful testimony.. I heard the brother's dad sang with rebels quartet. Well I was introduced to the rebel quartet in 1955. I am a tampa gal. I just remember Horace who as I remember was lead. I was 8 yrs old. We were taken to all night sings at the armory when they had all night sing. This is such a great dvd. I could feel holy spirit in my home as I sat here alone. God bless you all. I know they will not see this but hope someone tells them. When I heard Rebel quartet my friend and I still talk about them. I just remember Horace parrish. That was 1955.
Is there any form of instrument with a keyboard that little rascal Anthony Burger (RIP) had not concoured? He is still an amazement to me! And likewise for Wanda Vick on the strings, she is in almost every Gaither Video I have ever seen, playing anything with a string on it! Great talents in GOD'S collection of performers! Kinda reminds me of the USO Tours to keep the troupes spirits high. We being the Army of the LORD, HE sends HIS best! We give highest Praise to Him, HE gives Joy, Delight, Happiness and all good gifts of the SPIRIT back to us!
Anthony Burgers parents owned a music store he learned how to play all the instruments
Anthony definitely made that piano sing! You could hear every word of the songs he played. The world lost one of the greatest musicians when he passed.
I agree. He was a w gifted musician both a beautiful voice and on the piano. RIP Anthony. We sure miss u down here but I’m sure all r rejoicing n heaven

Last year I had bypass surgery and spent 10 days in rehab. I got through it quickly and one reason was this song, played it several times a day and even played it for the nursers and anyone who would listen. uplifting spirit got me through the tough times. Thanks

The middle guy sang with the Booth Brothers for 3 years & 1 day, he was the baritone before Jim Brady took over that part! His name is Joseph Smith! Don't know where he is today! God bless the Booth Brothers!
Joseph joined with Mark Trammel when he started his trio. he and his wife Shawn moved to Anniston, AL area at that time and they had a baby girl about a year or so later. I used to hear from them from time to time but lost contact as well.
Terry, Do you remember the year they made this video? They look so young here! Love their harmony, Michael's voice is beautiful, he is such a rascal! Ronnie's voice is smoother than silk and Joseph's baritone blends beautifully with them. This is the first time I've seen him singing with the Booths.
