Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I actually don't tab the songs in real time as I play. There is probably a way to do it in real time with polyphonic pitch tracking and hand tracking on the video, but it wouldn't be 100% accurate so I just create the guitar tabs manually. I wrote some software to take guitar tablature data as input and create the animation frame by frame.
Somehow your guitar instantly changed from drop D to standard E in Bridge 1, but the notes on the animation were correct for drop D. Just a little confusing to see your hands playing something different than the animation for that one part.
Yes I realized that after the fact 😂. The Jackson guitar was actually in standard E the whole time and I did overdubs for the parts in drop D. I got the visual right for the intro part but forgot about the Bridge. Sorry for the confusion
I also rendered the animations at a slightly different frame rate than the guitar videos (30fps instead of 29.97) which is why it got out of sync as the video progressed. I took a few L's in this video but that's life 😎
