His combo knockout on texeira still makes me tear up to this day. If he was in his prime during jons 3 year layoff I have no doubt in my mind he would’ve been champion
Alex is so tall he actually has to aim down. Which is harder to deliver power. On the other hand. Dc is short compare to Alex he has the ground to help transfer his power.
@@Ahmed.4411 are you intentionally being ignorant? He’s 5’3 and 130 lbs and Francis Ngannou is 6’4 and 258 lbs and arguably the hardest hitter in UFC history. Ngannou would likely max the machine out and I bet Mighty Mouse wouldn’t get anywhere near his score. Power still equates to speed.

they are all different in settings but they meassure basically by using a lazer device and a metal piece attached to the bag that shows the interval between lazers being picked up so its through speed.
They should be quite accurate considering they measure the velocity of the bag after being punched using a laser and an object to go in between the laser.
Yes I think they’re just all different tbh. I hit a 922 from a stationary punch like Gustafson just threw. I’m a big guy but I can’t see how I’d have a harder punch than a pro fighter
I don't think all these machines are calibrated the same. I've been able to get over 900 on my local one since I was 19 and 160lbs. All my friends get about 800 as well. There's no way we're punching as hard as these professionals.
@@92clintonr I totally agree with that, I weigh 135 and got it to 865. I know I can transfer some power but to hit as hard as a professional. I don't see it
On these type of machines I got into the mid 800's at around 11 years old. So I don't really trust that they truly capture the power of the punch. Instead the machines that absorb the full impact are a better measure.
Each machine is calibrated differently I can make a simple push be max out. And yeah ontop of that the angle of pressure will effect these machines too
The machine has a hook on the end of punching bag and a laser sensor so it measures how long did it take for hook to pass the sensor…so the faster the hook passes, the time of sensor coverage is less and the score is bigger
I saw a teenager put up over 1,000 on one of these machines. If you killed one at a carnival, don't think it's the calibration of the machine, just keep thinking you're a superman. Lol
the machine isnt about power its about angles and how you hit it a 300 pound bouncer once hit it and a 180 guy came along and hit a higher score then him no way in any world does that make sense
@@joaquinolivas5471 Yeah but some people have natural power for example deontay wilder can throw a punch at any angle with less speed and still hit hard as fuck power isnt all about speed
Speed x strength = power. Smaller guy lacked in strength but compensated with speed. Bigger guy couldn't compensate his lack of speed with his strength. Smaller guy had overall more power.
These machines are worthless. You have to hit htem high up just under the padding (great way to break your hand if you're not careful), and you have to punch in a more upward motion because of how the thing swings and where the sensor is. Nobody punches like that in a real fight.
I can attest these machines are frustrating. There’s a certain way to hit it. I know a guy who worked in the oil fields and they had one in their bunkhouse or whatever. Those machines are stupid. There are some sweet spots on them. And it matters how you hit it. I got 992 on one of these machines years ago so I think they’re full of crap. I’m not a big guy and I don’t punch super hard so I’m having a hard time seeing Alex get in the 800’s.

Speed equals power with punching. The ability to move the mass and contract your muscles a certain way and the bodies ability to generate force with more motion from other areas plays a huge part. Some people engage more areas , contract better, and have the speed to boot. For example, Floyd Mayweather.
@Liam R Morgans I mean speed x mass does literally equal power. So I guess in theory sure. A clean shot to the jaw, lighter men can certainly match heavier men if they have greater punch velocity. You know how bullets work right?
