I bought a gamecube and bought sonic mega collection at an old game store in town i happen to move into many years later. Booted it up my god that beat was so relaxing while i was looking through the extra stuff half of it was relaxing. the rain made it even more calming. Before schools gave us computers i use to leave my tv on to listen too so i could sleep.
The city that never sleeps, a myriad of voices and souls bustling in the streets on rainy days. A young soul sits at their desk, reading stories conveying legendary adventures and battles. Stories bound to thin sheets of paper, set free by this souls imagination. One story is of a mad genius and their latest plot to conquer the world in a matter of days. Another story sees a hero stand up for what's right as they beat the villain by themselves, with a newfound courage and strength of will, the hero continues their adventure.
Imagine a game where Sonic couldn't be there for his friends, that became too dependent of him. Now imagine, there is three "episodes" of gameplay. The first is about you playing as Sonic's friends, trying and learning that they can't just depend on Sonic. The second is about controlling Sonic, and finding out where he has been, and what is happening exactly. And the third is the climax, with they all together again. Now imagine, during the middle of the second episode (somewhere in the start), this scene happens: 0:01 "... I hope they are doing well without me..."

Yup, I feel the same. I remember having great times in my 2000s years while growing up. Watching fresh cartoons, movies, playing games with friends and any of that. It's ashame we don't do that since we're all adults. It's what Minion said from Twisted Metal Black in his loading screen. We will return to our old world one day.
That art hits different, man. Sonic’s caught in a storm with seemingly no end in sight, and he still manages to find solace in the form of one tiny, fragile flower, standing strong among the chaos. This is exactly what I love most about Sonic. On top of his energy and cockiness, he’s got plenty of room for heart, kindness, and of course, appreciation of nature. It helps me ease my worries about the less-than-ideal situation that’s been happening with the games lately, knowing that, in spite of everything, the core of who Sonic is as a character will never change
