In the 90’s our town was hit by an EF-4 tornado and it hit a high rise condo first and then turned into a waterspout as it crossed the river to the beachside where it flattened neighborhoods. My mom even remembered me telling her that I could sense a tornado was about to strike and about an hour later it did. It left catastrophic damage and thankfully we were not hit.

Exactly!! The wind was like a hurricane. Sirens going off. Everybody getting covered from heads or toe with dust. Debris flying around. Then when a lightning bolt lit up the sky you could see the twister in the distance. We didn’t know what direction it was traveling. One of a few times when I thought I was gonna die. We didn’t take a direct hit but it was close enough to collapse the stagewith all our equipment on it

As a truck driver I've experienced that a few times. One time, I was driving in the middle of nowhere in Kansas at night with my cb off, and didn't know there was a tornado untill I saw the silouete because of lighning. Luckly, I was too far away to be in any danger. It did scare the shit out of me though.

I lived in the suburbs of Dallas and the sounds of sirens like this are engrained in my head. My husband, boyfriend at the time lived in Arlington, TX and was three streets over from where the tornadoes that tore through downtown Fort Worth / Arlington that day in the year 2000. A few days later driving through neighborhoods that had been decimated with a house left unscathed here or there… it was so surreal for someone like me who grew up in northern Maine and didn’t move to DFW until I was 29.

Respiras.

what's wild to learn is tornados are tiny specs compared to the scale of the atmosphere and the atmosphere is thin compared to the size of the earth 🤯

Yes…tornadoes are amazing and beautiful…but this one wasn’t…it was huge and black and angry… I’ve never feared storms before…until now…
That very same tornado came through my place… north of Waverly…I was in a culvert…destroyed everything in its path… my neighbor lost pretty much everything! His horse was in its path but ended up with only stitches!!! Praise Yeshua! That thing just kept growing and growing …others down the road east into Iowa lost their life…please pray for everyones healing…thank you❤
