Related to the bright colors tip, when I am taking my daughter to a public place like an amusement park, shopping mall or museum I always take a photo of her in the outfit she is wearing that day and share it to my husband, in-laws, etc... If she ever were to get lost and in a panic I was asked what she was wearing, I could show a picture instead of trying to remember. This works well for field trips or other group outings with small children (with parental/guardian permission of course).
We play "20 Questions" while doing after dinner dishes all together. The kids look forward to it and it distracts them enough from the work that they don't mind it. (Ages 9,8, and 6). It has become part of the routine.
Hello Emily 😎 . I'm about to move out in a few months I'm 22 years old btw to my new home . Its a farm house i have three kids two sons and a daughter . I love ur contents as it helps me alot with how i look after my kids . I was losing my mind w the kids until i watched ur videos about taking a deep breath or going to another room to calm myself i can't thank you enough ! I really love your contents and being far from Mom i learnt cooking from you and literally what to make for the kids for breakfast I'm glad i found your channel ❤ . Please do more contents like this , anyways thank you again . Sending lots of Love & giant Hugs -Ps I'm just a Girl From Fiji Islands
My parents did the Santa cam with me as a kid and I got super anxiety of beein 'watched' and not having privacy and it stayed with me. I told my kid the cameras in our house don't record they are just movement alarms so he won't get the paranoic fellings associated with that. Just smth to think about....
I'm a children's nanny and I think it's a lovely idea to encourage the belief in father Christmas he is after all a real person from history and teaches children many lessons
I swear by 5 more minutes... before tablet time ends or if we leave friends/soft play etc I give them their 5 minute warning. Works every time.! And also my 2-3 year old loves to say bye bye to the soft play or night night to the tablet and theres no tears or abruptly leaving places. Xx
Love your videos Emily! What a great idea to put a shower cap on the wheel of the stroller/buggie! My 3+ year old also just started school and her teachers just emailed us, parents that the best time to ask our child about their day is not right after school as their brain is still processing what happened but later around dinner time. And best to do it while everyone shares what happened to them that day. Thought I would share as my kid also didn't share a buck when I asked her about her day right after pick up. ❤️❤️❤️
“Delayed start” on dishwasher is a great thing as well! I’m the evenings I always put in dishwasher tablet and put it on delayed start just in case I forget to start a loaded dishwasher , which happened more often than I would care to admit 😂 Just because I am so busy and tired in the evenings with cooking and cleaning, and all the chores with taking care of kids, that I would clean the kitchen, load the dishwasher and then forget to actually start it 🤦🏻♀️🤣 So putting it on delayed start helps me to avoid this situation as well. 😊👍🏼
Love these hacks Emily! There are quite a few I will use. Hope you are feeling better since your laparoscopy. The pain from all the air pumped into you can be intense at times. Have a great day!
Love these! A recent hack that I learnt that has really helped me… if you have a particularly ‘strong willed’ toddler (like mine) make things into a game… it can be complete nonsense and made up on the spot but it’s a game changer 🙌🏼
Hi Emily just wanted to say that your tip about a child being in deep sleep after 20 minutes have been a life saver for me for both my boys. I know your tip was about cutting Caleb’s nails but it works for newborns too. Thank you.
🤣🤣🤣I love that Jackson talks about the troublemakers that is hilarious! Also thanks for the juice box tip we had the juice box fiasco today ha! Sock tip is GENIUS!!!!
Love the wording of polite bite, will be using that one right away I bet. The last hack you shared for washing hair is genius!! I think this will help the bath battle with my 2 year old boy who loves putting dirt in his hair. Have a great day Emily 😊
I just held something bright up high for my 1 year old whilst I washed his hair in the bath! Worked an absolute treat, thanks for sharing! 🥰 My boy shares a birthday with Jackson too! 💙
I love these videos of yours with mum hacks, having an almost 4 year old boy, who can be a little demanding sometimes. That last hack from another parent for hair washing is brilliant so I might try that. I usually say look up at mummy which works 80% of the time.
I stuck a picture of peppa pig on my bathroom ceiling and it works a treat every time 🥰 I wake her to tell me what colour daddy pigs top is etc and she stays looking long enough to rinse the shampoo out 😊
Hey Emily, hope you’re all well I’m happy, good and well thank you good evening love this 20 easier mum ideas video. I have really enjoyed these 20 easier mum ideas. They are such brilliant and great easier ideas too. I did thought the batch cook meal prep idea is a perfect one because it will get you into meal prep your breakfasts, fruits, vegetables, lunches, dinners and desserts in the week so simply and easily too. I love meal prepping it’s a lovely idea. Whenever I get fruits and vegetables I always cut all of the fruits of vegetables and put them in the fridge so I got them ready for the week ahead as well. My favourite easy and simple mum ideas was the meal prep make a essential bag make two coffees a day getting ready box are amazing because it helps you to get organised for the mornings and the week too. I have a essential bag where I keep a few toiletries and mini bags into my butterfly essential bag. I take my butterfly essential bag everywhere I go in the week. The pillow case set idea is a good one because you can keep all of your pillow covers into the pillows all in one place instead of having all of the pillow covers all over the place in a bedroom. I like the pillow case set idea I didn’t know about this pillow case set idea too. I love your flower t - shirt your multi - coloured striped pastel jumper and the lilac purple with the blue and white caller jumper looks lovely and happy on you. Three of my own motivation ideas that I would love suggesting to you is practise becoming happy and better everyday of the week see if you can be really happy for the whole day always say happy and motivated things to yourself to make you feel better every time. Trying wearing different clothes in the week to make you motivated all the time. I use all three of this motivated ideas all the time they really work for me with my anxiety too. Can we see more what I eat in a day groceries hauls day in the life morning and evening night routines cleaning motivation clean with me extreme clean and organise with me cleaning routines motivation clothing hauls home ware Poundland b and m tkmaxx home sense home bargains the range wilko shopping hauls ultimate meal prep family dinners ideas packed lunch ideas summer clean and decorate with me more picnic cleaning kitchen BQQ summer spring autumn Halloween Christmas winter snack storage organisation home ideas party mum hacks DIYs amazon best buys get it all done with me slow cooker recipes ideas videos and lots more inspiration, motivation and lovely videos coming from you soon. I’ve learned to give up on using hacks for my daughter’s morning outfit choices because I have a little Cher Horowitz 💃 But definitely love trying them all!
Love these videos. My best hack was hanging wet clothes on the hanger and drying with dehumidifier in a room with door closed. Drys in know time at all and you or kids can take hangers and put straight into the wardrobe. Keeps clothes looking good for longer instead of tumble drying them or if you don’t have a tumble dryer. It’s also good to remove condensation from windows/bathrooms 💕
I also got nothing from my little one after school, so we started "playing school" when we got home. He would be the teacher and I would be the pupil. I've learned loads this way and he loves getting the chance to be in charge!
Someone else here said that children have a hard time talking about their school day right after school because of overload. The best time to ask them is in the evening.
I love to cook twice as much and put them in the freezer too!! Most of the time i use a crockpot, cool off the excess food and put them in freezer bags for later
Oh yes! We keep a small basket of socks on the shoe shelf next to our son's (3) shoes then as we leave the house he can put on his socks and shoes at the same time.... No stress! 😁💕
Thank you for the video and hope you are doing well. My son too started reception this year and wouldn’t share anything. So I started having a “ can we talk about what we did today?”. So I would tell him what I did and then say that mummy doesn’t know what you did and that’s how he has started opening up. Now he remembers to discuss everyday before sleeping but not everything 😊
My son is in year R and apparently he does nothing all day as well 😂 good question tips!and also love the juice box idea, I will defo try that one. Thank you Emily 😊
Awesome hacks Emily and viewers. I use the clothes options too - nice to empower the kids with a choice. Really like the folding the fresh bedding together hack - that is going to be super handy!! 💕
Love the last hack. I really need it. I bought the goggles online. I still have to receive them. But i think i will try the last hack as well. Thank you ❤️
Love the who got in trouble one 😂 might work with my 5yo. Loved the video :) would you do a tiny tutorial about how you cut and do up the boys hair ? Thanks
My sister taught me to take a picture of my kids right before going to the fair so that you have a picture of them in the shirt they are wearing that day if they were to get lost.
My daughter also never give me report for the basic question: "How was school today?". I consulted that with speach therapist and she suggested to change strategy and "NOT ASK AT ALL" and...it works in our case I gettting report in at least expected moments ;-)
Hyper jar sounds fab. I have a pencil case first aid kit that comes out with us. My kids have never needed it but thr friends have. I do the delayed start at night on the washer. The bedding hack is so helpful. Ooh the shared notes would be great. Is it an app?
I love how so many of your tops and dresses have these super cute collars! Is that a UK thing? I haven't seen this style a whole lot on the US but I really love it.
Yayay so early. I always seem to be early when I'm getting my 2yo down to sleep whilst breastfeeding, so here goes; love all your videos and because I'm just down the road in Cambridge I feel like I know you irl 🤣🥰xxx
Just a hack, that everyone probably already knows. When changing duvet covers, button them back up before washing them. It saves all the pillows being wrapped up in side the duvet cover. So easy now when getting out of the machine when washed 😉
Related to the bright colors tip, when I am taking my daughter to a public place like an amusement park, shopping mall or museum I always take a photo of her in the outfit she is wearing that day and share it to my husband, in-laws, etc... I love the getting ready box

Win win choices! Totally forgot about this and haven’t done it for months. Trying again tmrw morning.
Thanks

"Who got in trouble at school today?" 💅
haha So true! 😆
I love hacks. I was so excited when I shore you had done a hacks video
Another one about the delayed time setting is to delay it until 2am when water is cheaper due to no one being up at that time ❤
I love you videos❤️ they make me soo motivated and I'm not usually 😂 also you kids are so cute ☺️
Loving the hacks as always Emily keep them coming your incredible hows your recovery going also keep up the amazing content xx

Just a hack, that everyone probably already knows. When changing duvet covers, button them back up before washing them. It saves all the pillows being wrapped up in side the duvet cover. So easy now when getting out of the machine when washed 😉
