My first LV was the OG accessories pouch. It was $185 back in 2001 and I recall the beautiful Epi-sequence boxing and bag with the blue ribbon. When I gave it to my Mom on Mother’s Day, she didn’t have a clue as to what LV was and is now her go-to pochette. Ten years later I helped her “level-up” with a silver Vernis Lexington pouch… to match her hair.

My first LV bag was the speedy 35 damier ebene in 2010 I was happy when I got it from the London New Bond Street store the shopping experience was great and my collection has grown with more bags, SLGs your recommendation are great for first time buyers I plan to add the alma bb to my collection this year as I’ve really gotten into mini bags since lockdown I don’t need as much 😊

But you’re right, it’s now sitting in the closet because I’m now a crossbody gal, so I use the PM more. You’re so right about the Noe. Didn’t think I would like it so I purchased it preloved and bought the vintaged one. It’s 40 y/o. Dark vachetta with some cracks and stains, but love it. Thanks for this video!

My first ever luxury purchase is a LV bag, speedy 30 in monogram canvas 13 years ago when I was 25 years old. I purchase it in Dubai UAE when I was still working there and I am now in Sydney Australia. I still have it and it’s still gorgeous as ever!
I wore this for going out partying, travelling, grocery shopping, shopping, work bag/office bag and now , a mum bag!it was narrowed by my sisters, my mother, got dropped multiple times and it’s still alive and still gorge!
I have a lot of bags after this from Chanel , Hermes , Gucci etc , a lot of my bag came and gone but this is still my og bag and it’s still the best bang for my buck!it stood the test of time!

You have a unique charm! thanks to you I found a perfect vintage bag in great condition for 395 it's a double flap 30mm saumor and I love it! Thank you I saved 2400 by going vintage since my alma bb mistake.! And I got a celne box bag inspired version for 40 bucks. I love bags that gowith my outfits. My budget is under 1500 and have alot of small bags now I have to be creative to get my handbag fix and it's fun!!

my first LV was an alma bb, I went onto purchase many more including the Neverfull MM & GM
My first ever LV bag was the vanity PM. I was tired of seeing the “iconic” LV bags over and over again. But the vanity PM is gorgeous.
I have a great SA in NYC who is happy to sell whether a book, a Pochette Accessories or an Alma PM, or Speedy. I agreed a speedy or Alma are great starter bags. Thanks for a great video! ❤

Thanks for giving us the inside scoop! It seems that the stores now focus on leather and discourage sales of canvas from what you said. I won’t go in store and go preloved whether it is for leather or canvas. The retail prices for empreinte are very high and I also don’t want to waste the salesperson’s time since they probably will carry canvas pieces in very limited quantities in the future. I am 63 so I am really late to the game. When I was younger I didn't care I changed my purses and shoes out quite a bit so I did not want to spend about a lot of money. I have a friend that knew I was looking for a preowned Louis and had Aunt who was wealthy and had gifted her, her sister and her mother some bags so when her mother my friend passed away she gave me her mother's. It is a vintage pre 2000 Speedy 30. I really like it and it is a perfect shape I am looking LV shoulder bag but again it will have to be preowned as I have 2 children in college

After thinking about it for some time, I finally took the plunge and just ordered as celebration for my 55th birthday! I love your philosophy of gifting oneself! I was considering one of the newer styles, but kept going back to my first love of the classics. I ordered the Speedy 30 bandouliere. Thank you for the history! I wasn't enticed to buy the classic style of purses you mentioned because I see them everywhere. In my head, those purses lost their value to me, personally (thanks to my ignorance about the branf). I'm a kind of person that appreciate classy and unique (I don't mean trendy. Just not so common, if I make sense). But after hearing the background stories of each style, I grew a great appreciation to those 4 classic LV styles you mentioned. I feel more connected and interested to save for a Speedy or NeoNeo.
