LYXBAG bag love the quality and it came with every pocket and compartment just as stated in the description. I particularly like the length of the handle it sets nicely on my shoulder not too long or too short plus the sturdiness it seems to have.

It was $185 back in 2001 and I recall the beautiful Epi-sequence boxing and bag with the blue ribbon. When I gave it to my Mom on Mother’s Day, she didn’t have a clue as to what LV was and is now her go-to pochette. I purchase it in Dubai UAE when I was still working there and I am now in Sydney Australia. I still have it and it’s still gorgeous as ever! I wore this for going out partying, travelling, grocery shopping, shopping, work bag/office bag and now , a mum bag!it was narrowed by my sisters, my mother, got dropped multiple times and it’s still alive and still gorge! I have a lot of bags after this from Chanel , Hermes , Gucci etc , a lot of my bag came and gone but this is still my og bag and it’s still the best bang for my buck!it stood the test of time!

After thinking about it for some time, I finally took the plunge and just ordered as celebration for my 55th birthday! I love your philosophy of gifting oneself! I was considering one of the newer styles, but kept going back to my first love of the classics. I ordered the Speedy 30 bandouliere. I have become tired of trying to change my bag all the time and can relate to having a lot of trendy bags-not luxury, but not cheap either. So many of my bags have only been worn one time. My first LV was the small Chantilly, I just fell in love with the shape and all the detail of the vachetta leather strap. Even though, I could not fit much into it, I learned to downsize. Then I got a Speedy 35, Men’s Toiletry Case which I still use as a make up bag, checkbook, Sarah Wallet, Artsy MM (once again that braid detail on the vachetta leather carry wooed me!), and last purchase was the Speedy Bandoliere 50 for travel as well as my son’s first piece of LV as a gift…one of the men’s wallets. I just sent him your video on proper usage and care, Thank You! I do have to say these astonishing price increases and practices have this lifetime LV collector a bit irate. All of the purchases above also do not include LV that I have gifted to family. I will be looking at the gently used market or even looking in a different direction, which I never thought I would do! I have always respected the history, craftsmanship, and integrity of the genuine article but these increases and waiting lists are ABSURD. I know I cannot be the only one that thinks so.

I am 63 so I am really late to the game. When I was younger I didn't care I changed my purses and shoes out quite a bit so I did not want to spend about a lot of money. I have a friend that knew I was looking for a preowned Louis and had Aunt who was wealthy and had gifted her, her sister and her mother some bags so when her mother my friend passed away she gave me her mother's. It is a vintage pre 2000 Speedy 30. I really like it and it is a perfect shape I am looking LV shoulder bag but again it will have to be preowned as I have 2 children in college

At over 1K for a speedy 25 it’s really hard when there are so many other brands, same style and very well made. You’re right we have to remember to shop responsibly even especially with luxury goods! I did over buy and will be selling some items as well. I also buy what works for you my wardrobe but also my frame. I am 5’4 and 120 and I’m inverted triangle. Hobo bags - not a good look for me. Cross body - hand held. Clutches. Yes! Small and large bags - No No! Medium ones. Yes! Small leather goods, I am realizing not really a good thing for me. It makes the bag far too heavy. The monogram neo noes have a very general and specific issue with the glazing peeling off. Google this concern if you are considering this piece. I work for LV as an advisor and I always inform my clients of this issue. The neo noe is $2,030.00 and that’s a lot of money for a bag. I only wish to make your purchase worth while since you’re on the market for a designer bag.
Thank you for the history! I wasn't enticed to buy the classic style of purses you mentioned because I see them everywhere. In my head, those purses lost their value to me, personally (thanks to my ignorance about the branf). I'm a kind of person that appreciate classy and unique (I don't mean trendy. Just not so common, if I make sense). But after hearing the background stories of each style, I grew a great appreciation to those 4 classic LV styles you mentioned. Lol. Some of the older discontinued ones, yes, especially the ones in good condition! I wish I had some from the Marc Jacobs era… I really thought they were too expensive back then, but now they re-sell for 3-4x’s more! Also, regarding your other comment, I used to work cosmetics too and was appalled that Nordstrom would take back (mostly) used cosmetics and creams. I thought people wouldn’t be so bold at Louis Vuitton! Boy was I wrong! Same customer, different store! 😂

I bought a speedy bandouliere (damier) mm30. I'm only 5'1". I feel like a mm25 would've been better. But you know what? I'm happy with it. I own a genuine one.
It's been a year. What do you think about the Madeline for first time buyer. I am thinking black leather. I want somthing that's timeleas i just not sold on the Alma bb . But the Madeline maybe. Needs to go from day to day work to nice dinner. I typically ware bags crossbody and crook of arm. It's been that way for years so that's definitely what I am looking for.

in Europe i saw men using the louis vuitton neverfull one recently in Ibiza Spain at the beach. I have even seen men using the speedy 35-40. I like man bags, but i couldn't use those myself.
I only stick to the Speedy bags in 2 sizes and my 2nd preference is the Alma bb in monogram with black handles. Thank u for sharing your thoughts, it means a lot coming from you.
I bought my first Louis Vuitton bag back in 2011 - it was a monogram Speedy35... my second one was a Neverfull MM in Damier Azur... I still have both bags and love them to bits (I do not use the Speedy that often anymore, but since it was my first designer purchase ever, I have a very sentimental connection to it and could never ever resell it). By now I also own a Vintage Noe, a NeoNoe and an Alma BB aswell (I‘m just a Louis girl 😁 - the collection grew over the years) - so I love all your recommendations 💕- it do not have to be the most expensive purses at LV, that influencers make us desire and some of the SAs try to push 😅 Funfact: I have worn an Eva Azur Pochette to a wedding before 😅🙈 Great video as allways 💕🌷

I did over buy and will be selling some items as well. I also buy what works for you my wardrobe but also my frame. I am 5’4 and 120 and I’m inverted triangle. Hobo bags - not a good look for me. Cross body - hand held. Clutches. Yes! Small and large bags - No No! Medium ones. Yes! Small leather goods, I am realizing not really a good thing for me. It makes the bag far too heavy. The monogram neo noes have a very general and specific issue with the glazing peeling off. Google this concern if you are considering this piece. I work for LV as an advisor and I always inform my clients of this issue. The neo noe is $2,030.00 and that’s a lot of money for a bag. I only wish to make your purchase worth while since you’re on the market for a designer bag.

In my head, those purses lost their value to me, personally (thanks to my ignorance about the branf). I'm a kind of person that appreciate classy and unique (I don't mean trendy. Just not so common, if I make sense). But after hearing the background stories of each style, I grew a great appreciation to those 4 classic LV styles you mentioned. I feel more connected and interested to save for a Speedy or NeoNeo.

Lol. Some of the older discontinued ones, yes, especially the ones in good condition! I wish I had some from the Marc Jacobs era… I really thought they were too expensive back then, but now they re-sell for 3-4x’s more!
Also, regarding your other comment, I used to work cosmetics too and was appalled that Nordstrom would take back (mostly) used cosmetics and creams. I thought people wouldn’t be so bold at Louis Vuitton! Boy was I wrong! Same customer, different store! 😂

I bought a speedy bandouliere (damier) mm30. I'm only 5'1". I feel like a mm25 would've been better. But you know what? I'm happy with it. I own a genuine one.
It's been a year. What do you think about the Madeline for first time buyer. I am thinking black leather. I want somthing that's timeleas i just not sold on the Alma bb . But the Madeline maybe. Needs to go from day to day work to nice dinner. I typically ware bags crossbody and crook of arm. It's been that way for years so that's definitely what I am looking for.

in Europe i saw men using the louis vuitton neverfull one recently in Ibiza Spain at the beach. I have even seen men using the speedy 35-40. I like man bags, but i couldn't use those myself.
I only stick to the Speedy bags in 2 sizes and my 2nd preference is the Alma bb in monogram with black handles. Thank u for sharing your thoughts, it means a lot coming from you.

I bought my first Louis Vuitton bag back in 2011 - it was a monogram Speedy35... my second one was a Neverfull MM in Damier Azur... I still have both bags and love them to bits (I do not use the Speedy that often anymore, but since it was my first designer purchase ever, I have a very sentimental connection to it and could never ever resell it).
By now I also own a Vintage Noe, a NeoNoe and an Alma BB aswell (I‘m just a Louis girl 😁 - the collection grew over the years) - so I love all your recommendations 💕- it do not have to be the most expensive purses at LV, that influencers make us desire and some of the SAs try to push 😅
Funfact: I have worn an Eva Azur Pochette to a wedding before 😅🙈
