Two Giant Pandas Travel 8,000 Km From China To Belgium

- Two giant pandas from China safely arrive in Europe after travelling over 8,000 kilometres for a breeding and scientific research program in Belgium aimed to help avert the future extinction of this endangered species.
The female, Hao Hao, and the male, Xing Hui, both aged four, were successfully delivered via DHL's global transportation network to their new home at the Pairi Daiza animal sanctuary in Brugelette, Belgium on February 23.
'Hao Hao and Xing Hui's Pandastic Journey' started at the China Conservation & Research Center for the Giant Panda in Chengdu, China on February 22. A traditional "farewell to pandas" ceremony was held at their home before they departed that evening from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport. Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China.
The two VIPs - or Very Important Pandas - were flown from China to Belgium on a dedicated DHL Boeing 767 freighter aircraft, accompanied by a team of two animal handlers and a veterinary physician to monitor the comfort and safety of the animals. The two pandas were transported in two customized cages with good ventilation to ensure their comfort and safety.

You cant have bigger cage in case theres a severe turbulance, the large cage would be a rolling hazard for pandas to get injury or head trauma.

The FedEx Panda art is so much cuter than the DHL Panda art.
That was a bad landing for DHL. Just feel bad for pandas being transfer multiple times from airplanes to truck, in the cage for 10+ hrs, hard to imagine what they have endured. Even hard for human to do it.
Poor pandas locked in the small cage for that long! That's abused! I hope they treat you both very nice there! It really broke my heart to see all the pandas like that!

Yeah in Belgium the pandas have a great live. They're treated good and even better than some other countries. They have enough place and had 1 year ago 2 new cute babies pandas. Now we have in total 5 pandas and are the best zoo from Europe for pandas. 😁😁 Everything is ok in Belgium for these cute pandas 👍😁

Animal abuse. Can they afford a bigger cage?
If they put the pandas in big cage in the airplane cargo, there's a high risk they're jumping or tossing around and put the passenger in danger. They're sedated anyway.
Just like us human on the airplane. We got small seat, don't we?? (well, except few people who can afford first class or private jet LOL)

Money is using for protecting pandas and environment lol, using in proper business. So do you think that we should just sent it as gift? C'mon they are endangered and they won't cherish it, at least in the past the foreign country do that way. Well i think spending much money for lending panda shows how valuable pandas are......Also forge relation between coutries........
