Besides, we don't need Wikipedia to know that Prakash Padukone is a south Indian.
As for the Konkani connection, I don't remember if they ever mentioned the reason for that konkani style ceremony. Even if they did, it doesn't change anything.
If I say that my ancestors came from Africa, that doesn't change the fact that I was born and raised in India, that I should know Hindi or other Indian languages and sound like an Indian.

Exactly. The accent felt like she was holding 5kg dumbbells in her hands and straining in the effort to speak, it was unnecessarily heavy. I am from Andhra Pradesh, but I have Tamil speaking friends, and they speak normally as anyone would do. They might mix up some grammar when they speak Hindi, but no one strains that hard.
