I have been riding since 1974
I have owned 3 Klrs
Best Bike for the $$$
Yep! I would daily the heck out of it if I lived in a sunny state.
2004 Gen 1 KLR 24k miles- Got it for less than 2k with many upgrades.
These bikes are very easy to work on, even on the trail. To me the KLR is the mix between and larger touring/adv bike and the more off road enduro style. Its not great at anything, but does everything just fine. Also, the community around these bikes is awesome. So much availability in parts, knowledge, and support for each generation of the KLR.

Thanks, it's why I've loved my gen2- analog, carb, less tech, & a tiny bit lighter than the g3..
Found you on TikTok, Came here IMMEDIATELY!
@@liu3kang welcome! Hope you enjoy the videos
Have you actually rode a pan America? Don’t hate it because it’s a Harley, that new engine they built is a dream to drive.
I love my 2023 KLR! The rugged no frills simplicity is what attracted me to this bike. I have been riding 40+ years and owned higher end adventure bikes, and I can honestly say that the KLR (with some essential mods) is fantastic!
You make some great points, thanks for the video. I also am on my 3rd KLR, been riding 50 years now and have owned about everything in between. Lots of respect for what the KLR still is….and still isn’t.
Thanks for watching!
I have the adventure one 2022
Good engine, suspension, breaks and tires is all I need to go from point a to point b.all tech aids I dont need I rely on skills.😅✌️
I bought a used 2013, the bike came with all the extras so I got a fantastic deal. The only thing is the bike was too tall for me. I bought a lowering dog bone, & an adjustable side stand, it had an adjustable center stand. When I picked up the bike, I was literally on the tip of my toes when stopped. I had to scoot to the front of the seat, & commit to a full stop so I could slide to the front lowest part of the seat, & hope I didn’t slip on a stone or end up in a hole in the pavement. Other than that the bike will go anywhere any time.
Remind me so much of my Honda CRF150L 😊
I know who has inspired you to do your motorcycle videos. Good job man.
Well actually since it has less technology, it is less mechanical issues & I bet most of the riders doesn't use all features that comes with the high value bikes
That pretty much sums it up! Thanks for watching.
It would be better I think if it had belt final drive and cast wheels
Generally not common to have belt on an adventure bike. Belt has the upside of no maintenance which is good for long distance cruising, but it is susceptible to rock/pebble damage on off road trails. As for cast wheels, on other more expensive European adventure bikes that come with cast wheels, you actually have to pay extra to get spoked wheels because spoked wheels are a bit more flexible and good for off roading. Cast wheels run the risk of cracking. Thanks for watching and ride safe!
I have that exact same Burro Verde KLR. By brother in law has been through 3 different Adventures bikes in 6 years. Too big and heavy, too much money to scratch the Italian paint and too vanilla for the single ladies to notice. He still loves to borrow my KLR now because he has none and too afraid of purchasing the wrong motorcycle again. Something in his Chicago brain refuses to understand that a 650cc is all that anyone needs to ride the few backroads in the Heartland. What would the union boys think if I pull up in a KLR?
If it's good enough for the US army, it's good enough for me.
pretty sure it was Marines. even better
You copied the demuro format to a t. I love it 😌
Army? I’m pretty sure it was for the Marines. almost 100% sure.
Both use it. Different engine displacements though.
And diesel fule on a lot of ther
The real McCoy, Hayes Diesel.
..what an annoying performance…
I thought this had the same engine as the ninja and Vulcan s, i had no idea it was a single cylinder engine
Yep. Pretty unique for a full size adventure bike to have a thumper!
The KLR is an antiquated turd. My 05 is a total piece of shit.. Worst bike I have ever owned.
😂
I love my 2006. Such a joy to ride for a clapped out pos.
The KLR is not up to the task of off road, If your just going back and forth for groceries maybe. My 05 I have been riding it around central America. I'm on my 4th set of front fork seals. 2nd for rear shock seal, in one year.. The brakes are specd. from a 150 cc bike.. I replace them every two months. Have you replaced the balancer chain tensioner?? If not catastrophic engine failure. How about thermostat for the cooling system??? Engine case metal fatigue. 5 speed gear box?!?!?!? 500= lbs!?!?! Just a few of the issues you will be having with yours. For the money there are much better bikes out there...
@@spencervidal3168 For example, what kind of bicycles are there?
