@@ps7711 The Inquisition and other religious persecutions were not specific to Goa; similar events also occurred in continental Portugal. There were many wrongs everywhere. Additionally, the Portuguese aimed to assimilate everyone into their culture, through means such as marriages with locals and conversions to Christianity- it is true the Portuguese wanted to make everyone "portuguese". (different from other european cultures that kept a distance from the locals and which only interest was to profit).
What I celebrate is the unique culture of Goa, which is a fusion of two beautiful cultures. Goa is India's best place to live and its richest province. Everyone loves Goa, and its heritage is one of the reasons for this.
