      I build mostly normally aspirated engines which is more complicated when you really get into the details. Very challenging most of all.

    Awsome again Ben. I think you have told us about pulling the stroker crank out of the turbo Windsor before not that I mind hearing it again. Guys always talk about how much power the make on a dyno but on a street car I've always found the torque curve to be the most important and gearing the car to take advantage of it. Please keep going Ben as soon as you release a new video I am onto it. I cant help it. Thanks.

    • @benalamedaracing2765
      @benalamedaracing2765  Рік тому

      Agree with you torque on the street makes you almost unbeatable specially stop light to stop light grand prixs! lol I once had a big stroke turbo SBF and it was a beast even rolling in any gear I can fry the tires! lol Those were fun times.

    Love this, I just switched from my dads ported gt40’s to a set of early TFS fac heads in my 85 thunderbird. But I’m keeping the gt40’s for my future mustang build I firmly believe dads ported heads would put the smack down on my tfs heads.

    My little Mustang II weighs in at 2450 lbs, and I shift the 332" stroker at 8500 rpm. All motor. The manually shifted C4 Dynamic Racing trans works good. That little motor sounds pretty good driving through tunnels. lol p.s. I was on the streets back in the Mustang vs GN days with that same II, though it was usually Fox body cars racing against them. I'm not sure if the GN crowd even knew what a Mustang II was when I raced them.

    • @benalamedaracing2765
      @benalamedaracing2765  Рік тому +1

      They the GN guys just know a Fox mustang and not much else! lol
      Very few Mustang II's was ever raced but they are out there for sure.

    I've seen dyno tests comparing identical heads in aluminium and iron. Aluminium made more power. Cast iron under heavy load was glowing and causing pre detonation.

    • @benalamedaracing2765
      @benalamedaracing2765  Рік тому +4

      I was referring to street compression ratios and there cast iron dominates. Anything pure competition level high compression, aluminum would definitely excel no doubt about that.
      Obtw, on a flowbench and some dyno tests with street compression ratios cast iron will usually always lose but the track says differently. As I stated on this video.

    Never heard which went faster, the 9-1 tfs headed engine out the 10.5 factory headed windsor. That story just disappeared about midway through the video. I like to hear e.t and mph of both. Makes easier to understand the final story

    • @benalamedaracing2765
      @benalamedaracing2765  Рік тому

      Casey, sorry I did not make it very clear on the difference. The iron head exhibited superior 60ft times all the way to the 1/8 mile. Then thru the finish @ the 1/4 mile the breathing of the big valve aluminum headed TFS-TW out pulled it to the finish line almost by 2 mph! It gave too much on the lower half of the run due to what I stated inferior heat retention of the aluminum heads.

    So for my 351w in the truck. I was thinking about going with these AFR heads. Cylinder Heads, Race Porting, Aluminum, Assembled, 58cc Chamber, 205cc Intake, Ford, Small Block, Pair. Stock 351w with just an baby ISKY boost Cam. Long tubes and a Vortech. Unless you have another head to suggest. Thanks.

    • @benalamedaracing2765

      Sounds good and about right! Use the longest runners that they make and that will boost the torque range big time over a shorter runner manifold!

      I have the exhaust port plates which help until they get rusted and starts breaking up. Maybe if it was made of stainless steel 304 it should last. Port stuffers and are they in the USA?
