However, today, after retiring, her life is quite different.

She exited public life with grace. At 92, she would be enveloped in her comfortable home, with a routine, her caretakers, her daughter visiting, and serenity. Don’t make it seem like a sad, lonely existence. It’s just the winding down of a spectacular life.
I respectfully disagree. She is nothing she used to be. She however is still a legend in journalism and will be remembered as such.

I subscribed to this channel because of the content and I love lookin and learning about celeb homes but I honestly can’t stand the host. She comes across as a self absorbed, superficial, bimbo, and her voice is beyond cringe worthy. I wish they’d fire her and get a new host with some substance and a less annoying voice.
I really miss Barbara and her ability to land interviews from Castro to Carson. She is irreplaceable. Media will never be the same. Nowadays its acceptable to be schooled by high school dropouts posing as journalist pundits and scholars. Osmosis doesn't occur because a dropout can hijack a legends chair and believe they are qualified to do what Barbara did. Probably thinking they are even better and more relevant because they breathe and continue to walk on upright on two feet just barely. Anyway Barbara was one of a kind and the real deal. Respectable by doing it the hard way.

Barbara is seen outside often. She walks in Central Park or is pushed in a wheelchair by a caregiver. She is friendly and says hello to anyone who says hello to her. I have seen Barbara, Madonna and Bono many, many times in Central Park. About 20 years ago Barbara was walking to a limo in front of her building & I was walking & talking to a friend. We bumped into one another and literally held onto one another so we didn’t fall. It was raining & neither of us were paying attention.
She's an icon. She has a right to spend her last years however she wants. She opened the doors for all women in news.
Whether she has dementia not, you'd think women would be kinder to her. I guess not.

Totally agree. I find it disrespectful. They’re trying to make it seem like she’s living a miserable existence. Some people enjoy their solitude or to have only a select few of people around them at one time. I’m one of them.

It just goes to show - all the wealth, fame & expensive homes, don't stop you getting old. We all face death & if you have lived your whole life for yourself, gathering worldly goods, you will not enter into Heaven when you die. If you are not saved.
These 'celebs' live amazing lives with so much money & comforts, but eternity is a whole lot longer - than even 90 or 100+ years.
I'm not saying it's wrong to accrue wealth, but if it's not used for service to God, if you are greedy, materialistic & lust after worldly treasures, it all means nothing when you die.
So sad that she is in recluse.

ALL the women on the view have had words with one another over the years. That’s why it’s called “The View.” If she felt the way you assume she felt about Whoopi, then Whoopi wouldn’t have been moderator and on The View for 17 years.
