Last advice was really helpful for micro-control units, I found it recently ;)
How do I do that? Like after I did ctrl+number. How do I select that troup?

Another good tip is to do ctrl ~ to select all inactive workers

@@maxglb1901 if the symbol isn’t on your keyboard you might be able to rewind the command to another key
Nice work, some of the tips can be ignored in some situations such as house walls as in medieval they become useless because of stronger units and upgrading units isn't always a good idea as let's say stone age warriors with upgrades will be better than no upgrade Asia spears. But other than that this is a great tips video. I have one started but not finished and slowly working towards finishing it :)
I usually rush bronze age, then go into western europe. Then I try to upgrade the spears into lancers. The extra range and thus the blobbing up of my guys is good enough until industrial. The catapults help in case the enemy goes heavy range and I can't get to them.
I usually take out one player with my lancers (because they haven't aged up at that point yet) if he walled up heavily 4-5 trebuchets that shoot at his HQ is usually enough to get them out of the game quickly.
So my early game is 7-8 on berries/food, the rest on wood to get to age up quickly to get to the farms. I haven't perfected the strategy yet because sometimes it takes too long to get all workers upgraded.
Maybe I need to switch 1-2 workers on food when I start researching the next age.
@@etuanno I always go 10-12 as when you upgrade you immediately want the population upgrade while also upgrading your workers (if Europe) to then build a farm. I would say enter Bronze Age at 5-6 minutes while still building up an army

that buildings as wall never work at iron age, LK or legions destroy them very quick, so you should not do that unless you have workers nearby to get ready to fix it.
It is generally for stone age where stone warriors going straight for the altar or being blocked by the houses and trying to break through while workers counter repair the houses can be the difference between life and death.
@@bravomike4734 I haven't been properly rushed in a long time. Usually they come in a bit too late when I already have spears, then they get shredded by my western spears.
I usually rush bronze age, go for 3 barracks to start pumping out spears, then rush early middle age.
I don't even pick up eco upgrades or tech that doesn't boost my spears or lancers until middle ages.
Btw I started to put my main building right next to metal when I age up. It seems to work well because that way I don't need to place down a collection spot for it and the new workers go collect metal anyway.

Yeah this probably wouldnt work because when i play with my 3 friends i try to have an actual base, but one of them always builds a massive base with spammed guard towers and attacks on me with his 500 workers

You only have to press the Button down left to change your Formation 👍

The army formation thing only works mainly for infantry and cavalry. He tried to use it for artillery so it didn't work as good. It doesn't work for artillery and tanks. Just infantry and cavalry. By using it, you can increase the time it takes for one enemy soldier to travel to your next archer unit after a kill. You can also prevent total amount of devastation area of effect damage does to your army. And you can prevent missed arrows from hitting your nearby soldiers.
But you will also make it easier for your melee units to be surrounded at the front. Especially spears whose strength comes from numbers and a tight hard to surround formation.
