I think trades are ok in realistic rebuild. Obviously you wanna try and make it realistic though. In Madden, it's relatively easy to trade for star offensive linemen. Like 85+ ovr. Regardless of how young they are, they're pretty easy to trade for. Which, obviously in real life don't make a lot of sense. But for example, you could've probably traded Joe Flacco to a team for like a 3rd round or 4th round pick. I'm sure someone would take him in real life. And a 3rd rounder wouldn't be such a unrealistic trade either. I love your videos though, not trying to criticize. Just thought I'd try and give my input. ☺
