I once asked an old friend of my who could have been the person Gackt loved the most that he lost and could never recover from its loss... and the both of us believe it's Kami. I think they probably loved each other in a different way you will love a close friend. I think they meant something more to each other.

Thank-you... I had multiple near death experiences and the last one was so bad it really had my husband thinking all was lost. Mine was a brain issue too. I don't know how many good bye letters I've written and how many delirious goodbyes I tried to say. In the end I found a new treatment and I came back to life. But the pain was deep. This interview was healing for the both of us to listen to both perspectives of what I went through and what he went through.

My wife almost passed a few times due a chronic illness with brain issues and it was absolutely as traumatic as the MV for this movie. She is getting better now. We spoke with a medium and our deceased friend came through to urge her not to give up about a year before her health improved. Even though we can't feel it, the ones we miss absolutely walk with us especially if somehow it can be tapped into. Wild. We had a lot of trauma and pain on both sides and this talk is great food for thought about family and couples grief.
Gackt really confuses me about his former bandmates in Malice Mizer. Sometimes he speaks fondly of them but other times he speaks as if he hates them all. In the last fan letter Malice Mizer wrote after Gackt left but before Kami passed away Kami wrote "I hate working with selfish people and they only care about them," he said he loved MALICE MIZER and you know what that means? Everything has a cause and effect, we can't lie to those we love."
Gackt has moved past Malice Mizer, but as he says in this video, Kami’s death he is still processing years later and the way they parted on bad terms remains as a big regret for him. So here he is not talking about Kami as a former band member, but as an irreplaceable friend (or “brother” as he tends to refer to him). He wasn’t nearly as close with the other members.
Our boy will never stop crying over Kami, no matter how many years pass. P.S. Thank you so much for these subs!
