James Stewart’s screams for Clarence’s help, breaking down into sobs, as he pleads for the chance to just LIVE again, has my vote for the most powerful moment of acting in any movie, ever.

I majored in English, but I was never able to teach. However, I told a number of teachers what I would do with this film. I would assign an essay where the student would explain what they felt the world would be like if THEY had never been born. It is truly an overwhelming thought to find out what contributions you made in your life. I also believe anyone contemplating abortion or suicide needs to see this film and make a list of what would happen in this world without a certain person because, as Clarence said, "You really had a wonderful life, George. Wouldn't it be a shame to throw it all away?

This is my favorite movie. I've had two kidney transplants. The first one was 20 years 3 months. My second one is 6months and going strong. It's a wonderful life.

My favorite movie scene. This is a minor quibble but a bit of the top and bottom of the original was cut off to get a letterbox effect and I would like to see the end credits.

Never fails to give me tears of joy in this ending. It really is an interesting idea, to see what life might have been like had you not been born. What what was your contribution to the betterment of people life and people. ❤

The most prolife movie EVER, and it does not even allude to abortion. It shows how much in our world goes haywire when one single person is not born!
