Im also there right now paul. Quit smoking, quit drinking. Eating clean af. Being active. Moving and keeping those consistent habits is whats gunna help us live long and young brother keep it up.
Man this actually hit home a bit for me. I've been feeling pretty crap for most of this year. I know I drink too much, I should eat better, and exercise more. I'm with you P Rod
Came across this series when I needed it the most too , time for that life reset ! End the years strong playas. Shout-out the god PROD for the inspiration 🍾🛩
0:23 For Paul and everyone else with achilles pain: I had the exact same achilles pain for over a year, hurts like 1000 little needles pushing right into the achilles right? Pretty sure it is insertional achilles tendonitis in your case aswell. This video helped me: James Dunne - If your Achilles tendonitis isn't healing. Loading the tendon has helped me a lot, I combined it with eccentric calve exercises after a while. Of course I did other things on a regular basis too and still do all of this: foam rolling the calve and the arch, stretching the whole back chain like calves and hamstrings and butt. Eating a lot of healthy stuff, much protein, good carbs and fats, supplementing omega3 and vitamin d3+k2 Since then I added to my routine: Full body workouts to maintain my overall fitness and workouts focused on mobility and stability. Still Focusing on vegatables and fruits and high quality food in general, it speeds up recovery! I also stretch after every session, I'd really suggest that to everyone, way less soreness the next day! I exchanged my pre skateboarding coffee with a supplement which contains caffeine + theanine. The theanine counters the caffeine restlessness and gives you a calm focus - lower risk of injury during the session. I also stop when I feel I get too exhausted (wasn't able to do that for like 15 years, I'd just continue as long as I could skate) - also lower risk of injury during the session. If you are injured, skate some cupsoles for a while and maybe get yourself some orthotic insoles if you can afford them. Over here in germany health insurance pays for it fortunately.
Nice. I just finished working on my fatherly physique( turning into a fatass) and I'm gonna work on eating right and stretching afterwards. Thanks for the info.
That end hit me hard. I've been like that since my ankle injury 3 years ago. I really need to put in the work to get back to what I was and can be. Been skipping contests, shows, alllll because I'm embarrassed of where I've put myself in life and I don't want anyone to see me. Thanks for being so open. I can't believe I came across this today. Be blessed. Good luck. Keep up those prayers.
As a 34 year who has spent the last year plus not really skating because of school, I needed to see this. This is very inspirational. I Grew up watching you. I fuckin love what you do. Thank you for everything !
Paul you’re speaking out loud what a lot of people think but are too scared to admit and say out loud. Props to you man, thank you for this Inspired me to take my ‘reset 30’ more seriously
Half are younger than PRod and half of us are older but all inspired exactly the same! I always love seeing a warm up and off day from the highlights of skate careers, makes us feel normal about being old and broken and still trying to skate whatever we can.
I just turn 39 and suffer from multiple long term injuries and everything you said resonated with me. Thanks for sharing and being a great inspiration! You are Legendary!
This is a powerful realization and I hope we can all find the strength to make the necessary adjustments to feel like the best versions of ourselves. Good luck Paul. Rooting for you
Since city starz I have seen you grow and looked up to you as a skater and as a person and you have never failed to impress me with who you are Paul. I wasn’t going to hit the gym today and now ima hit the gym right now on this Friday evening
Fractured my pelvis, spine, and sternum. I really want to come back strong and skate harder than ever before but it’s definitely been hard lately. Thank you for inspiring me and many others! You guys got this!! 🔥
Thank you so much P-Rod for this video. This hit home for me too. As a 24 year veteran skater your routines mean so much to be a better person, skater and overall great human being. You probably hear this all time but ever since “In Bloom” your talents are extraordinary! Keep ripping! 🤘
I really appreciate seeing the struggle and the battle for a trick. Gets me pumped to skate and reminds me it takes work much love especially for a 33 year old.
I freaking love Manny bro I feel like you can’t be negative if he’s around he just so positive and supporting. Love ya manny. Prod you a legend baby get that pep in ya step back rooting for ya 🤙🏽
DONT you ever dare yourself saying your trash or shit again. Im brazilian and 27 and since my 14s Ive been whaching you and inspiring by you, your the fucking legend of skateboard, history dont get erased.
I’ve been on a road to recovery myself after 3 years absolute hiatus. I have been blaming my lack of skating on everything else but me: unideal board set up or shoes, no time, no energy, all that jazz. Couple months I skated and it was the best day of my year. I’ve been skating every couple days since and it’s been amazing to learning how the body doesn’t every really forget what it’s able to do-it just needs a reminder. You have inspired me since the first time I saw you back in 01/02. Today you’ve inspired me to take my journey back into skateboarding more seriously, and behave more healthily. Thank you for everything you are Paul.
Much love and respect to you and your channel Paul Rodriguez. I hope that all is well for you and your family and friends and I hope that all of your dreams and aspirations come true and that you are safe during your travels and adventures and skateboarding and while recording your videos and going live on UA-cam.
Every word you said spoke directly to my soul. I've been trying to kick alcohol, I was literally gonna go and grab some. After watching this how can I? Thanks for the inspiration, the Lord really does talk through you 🙏
You’ve always been my hero since real young this truly inspiring and motivating not to let our selfs sink in a whole mentally and physically for whatever reason .. our mind is strong enough to over pass it with hard work and dedication 🙏🙌 love ya paul you got this 👍
hol shit man i had a feeling u were down but didnt wanna say nothin cause its not my business, great for u to do the things that are gonna make u happy, healthy, fit, and positive! I recently started hitting the gym 4-5 days a week, drinking smoothies ever other day, drinking a gallon of water, eating better, and getting better sleep. Such a better equality of life!
Just found this series so I’m a little behind, but have been feeling like shit lately mentally and physically and you’ve inspired me to get my shit together. Thank you Paul ❤
I love the whistle at the nollie front heel at 2:21. I like that no matter how good they get, skaters are skaters and will appreciate a simple trick done beautifully.
This video came out at a time when I myself am at a point where I’m trying to get myself back together. I haven’t been the same person that I was last year, I truly need to see this. Thank you and good luck can’t wait to see the results.
Paul you always been the goat I’m glad to see you doing this for yourself I believe in you 100% you got this can’t wait to see you ripping and feeling like you again either way to me your still a LEGEND
This is exactly how I've been feeling these days, and you just uploaded this video. I think that life gives us signs. I will join you on this journey because I also want to feel better about myself.
God bless you prod I’m in it with you! You’re already better than most for wanting to make a change. I’m doing the same in my life so it feels good seeing you on the same stuff
Been lovin prod since I was a kid and used to skate, now i just love the type of person he seems to be, layed back and down to earth. Love watching him skate or tell stories and i dont even skate anymore
Paul, I don’t know how much you read your comments but you’ve been one of my biggest inspirations in skateboarding and I’m 22 now and a girl dad myself. I just feel like you should do a small little “tour” thing and go around and help out places that don’t have skateparks. I live in a small area in Pennsylvania and there’s no skatepark around, there’s always rumors about us getting a park in but it never happens. I don’t know, I just feel we need a pro or somebody that knows skateboarding to contribute a park build in places where they don’t have anything except a few street spots where we get kicked out constantly. Thank you brotha!! Good luck with the changing too man💯💪🏽
And your not the only one feeling that way thanks for the motivation Paul discipline and consistency is what I’m lacking to be the best of myself I feel a weight or something but if you can do it I can aswell
I'm 35, it's 2am in Montreal and I'm watching Life Reset. Just got back on a Skate, this december, from a 20 years mostly off. I was a bit frustrated at my 180pounds and weak bones and muscles.. Watching it is motivating me to do the same. You're not doing it alone just so you know, I'll follow your footsteps. Thanks for the opportunity 🙏🙏🙏 We both gonna be changed it a month!
I just got back on the board over the winter too, after 15 years off. Muscles hurt now that never use to, my stamina is less and recovery time is longer. It gets frustrating for sure but you just gotta keep on pushing! I swapped french fries for vegetables and cut back on the coffee. Added more stretching to the routine too. Good luck man!

I'll watch this video before watching the one in a month. You've been inspiring me to skate for 8 years now and I have a month left of vacation, it's time to skate.
