Hard to tell how we will do this season. Worrying with how few signings we've made so far. Sorta think Higgins has ruined the momentum of Derry, especially in the last 12-18 months.
Interesting times indeed. Higgins although really nice guy underperformed in terms of league and Europe. I'm happy with this appointment, especially if it provides attacking football. The question on everyones lips some new signings, Tiernans experience and that fecking pitch 🤣
I'm happy we signed tiernan because he's a belfast man he knows what's up at the club I'm just very very worried about this first season because the players we are linked with are very old and we already have an ageing squad so yes ofc long term I think it will work but personally he's going short term this season and risking it going on a cup run
Derry fan here .i wish him well .but think his lack of expierence on the l.o.i cud go against him .time will tell. John caufield or john russell would have bn ideal .need a flock of new players in
Larne are decent And he could have just stayed put, Having lived in Derry for years one time They are a real footballing town/fans Expect success fairly rapid, Tough fan base to keep happy
If he can restore confidence to this self-doubting side and have them play attractive lively football instead of the ponderous stuff they offered for much of the 2023 and 2024 season, that's surely good for the fanbase and good for the League. And if he can get them to beat the Bruno's Magpies of this world when they get their European games, all the better. I wish him well.

They should be in the market in the next few weeks.

Derry City are like the Newcastle United of Irish football in that respect.
