How did NZ come so far in the Maori culture to only be taken back 10 steps.
Let's drop the haka from the All Blacks. In our current New Zealand it is no longer appropriate for the haka to represent a NZ sports team. Leave it only for the Maori team.
Generally I agree with your sentiments. I don't think this will result in the decline and fall of rugby tho! What I would like to know is, the speech by the 'leader' before the ka mate, what is being said then? Good call; 100% agree. What was TJ thinking, what an EGG 🥚
Similar to the shape of the ball... TJs one may have been a little fat on the bottom.
Up until a week ago, I loved the Haka. All these radicals have done is made a lot of NZ reconsider their views on the haka.
Or hopefully it asks people to reconsider your views on what haka means to Māori.
Loved it. Not anymore
That happen a long time ago. There's only so much haka a sane person needs to watch before it becomes a case of ,'mute till kick off' sets in!

Kia kaha, Michael. A lot of reverse racism in the comments today. It looks like you got all the insane maori activist commentators, and Sean's piece got all the right wing racists. Ultimately, TJ harmed New Zealand Rugby, something he presumably cares about and has a professional obligation to promote, and has caused further division in an already divided country.
@@lilith3953 no such thing as reverse racism. It’s just racism and I’m sick of it. The Maori activists want to split ordinary Maori from everyone else so they fill their ranks of activists. Don't understand what "reverse" racism is. Racism is racism.
Surprise surprise the haka does not galvanize New Zealand, it never did.
It's past time for the All Blacks to quit the haka altogether. I'm disgusted beyond words with Perenara and the ABs.

Should've told him he wasn't going to get off the bench at all in this game
Next level grandstanding. Then followed it up with a really poor performance on the field. Coincidence… I doubt it.

That happened a while ago with the Kiwis concentrated more on the haka than the game
Well said Michael and your right the game is dying because of bad rules and poor policies, and now we have activists within the ranks of our National team NZRU went woke years ago and thats why its in trouble and now they are allowing our National team and sport to be taken over by it, by the time they wake up it will be too late keep politics out of the game you want to be triggered go protest at parliment!...

Thank goodness we don't need to see that TJ again. It is NOT how all NZers feel! I want the treaty gone! And guess what I can say that as my people signed it too! ( the English). And it's only fair I get a say too!
Bringing politics into the sport is disgusting, and on such a personal level. Get rid of that bloody Haka, looks fecking stupid any way
It”s time to kick the Sports Haka into touch. It has become tainted by commercial exploitation & politics. It has become a little rediculous & diluted the mana of the Haka.
Our civilisation is suppose to have evolved beyond superstition & performing Stone Age savage war challenge Haka at our opponents.
The Haka is not going to change the outcome of the game. Only practised exceptional team effort & dedication will do that. As in other areas of life.
The Haka should be reserved for Maori cultural events & honouring outstanding individuals and done by Maori only.

It is often refered to as a war Haka but in fact is was composed by Chief Te Rauparaha after a battle between two Iwi (Tribes) "Ka mate Ka mate" (we die we die) because he thought everyone in his Iwi had been killed and he started to grieve, then as they came out of hiding and he realised they all lived his greief changed to joy "ka Ora ka Ora" (we live we live) he said.

I saw three Zulu warriors before one test match between SA and ABs expressing your country’s culture. I thought it was fantastic and I bet you haven’t got a problem with that.
I prefer to think about it as Sam Cane’s last test match. Great service to the black jersey.
Well done new Zealand way to look like you support your own people that are the original people of the land you all call home. The ACT party have been the only one to manipulate a narrative of the culture of our home. Did you all think being the proud Maori he is he wanted to send his supports to his people for not being present. This goes beyond the Maori party they are just a voice a platform, this is for his people! I absolutely love how genuine and proud his is to be Maori.
When they go on and on in a language not so many kiwis understand, does the team know what is being said? Is it from a pre-agreed script? The person could be saying anything and I wouldn't know. How does this work?
