Most people criticized me for liking these movies when i was younger i knew they weren't the the greatest but it was the amazing soundtrack and visuals that kept me watching i just love these songs so much

It was Michael Bay, Steve Jablonsky and Steven spielberg; three great and world renowned artists together made such iconic and incredible movie possible. Product placement was criticized but it was critical in establishing the character's personality and enhancing its percieved value for the viewers to make it exciting to watch and through such a thing he gave audiences an opportunity to associate themselves with the characters through visualizing their cars they transform into. All in all, it was epic and will be remembered down in the history. Period.
I love the first movie. Arrival to Earth is masterpiece, and the scene where the little girl walks out to see what's the noise, and Optimus, or I think it was, raised from the pool with the music... Chills every time.

Ironhide was simply a character, I could say the same for ratchet. But he's only a TF character. Yes these characters we grown attach too. But look at G1's film. Ironhide and all main old bots died. And yet everyone loves that film. So really Ironhide's death in DOTM, Isn't much compared to G1.
The 5th film had the weakest soundtrack though. The only great tracks in it are "We have to go/Zero gravity", "Prime vs. Bee", "Did you forget who I am", "Calling all autobots" and "Stay and fight".

This is my own opinion. I may not like the Bay movies because I can't handle everything that's in them and I think a lot of things shown was really unnecessary. But I DO really like the music. They have very beautiful and emotional tracks. That, I can appreciate.
