i was born in Lichfield, i lived close to the railway bridge on st Johns street....i watched from the early diesels in late 70's from British rail ....to intercity 125's and then i watch as they electrified the network ... watching late at night as they were working on it.....brings back memories.....once the electric was done they used old electric trains as the new ones were behind schedule......great times and a great place.
