Today, my 5 year old rode his first "big boy" coaster, and it was Storm Chaser. He got on it insanely nervous, by the time we were through the first inversion his hands were up. Proud dad, and an amazing coaster.
Great review!! Storm Chaser is currently my least favorite RMC, but that’s not a bad thing since the only others I’ve ridden are Steel Vengeance and Lightning Rod which are some of the best!
Storm Chaser is fantastic. I've ridden 6 RMCs so far and it's my third favorite. It really doesn't look like anything special. In fact, the setting is almost tacky (although the proximity to the airport is kind of fun when you get those planes landing literally across the street.) But the ride is excellent and it's super whippy and aggressive.
Our opinions about the coaster are dead on. Out of the 11 RMC's I have ridden, I have Storm Chaser 4th. I found the ejector to be the second strongest behind only Lightning Rod. Overall Storm Chaser is in my Top 10 coasters but I get what you are saying about the visual appearance- It could improve. Good review!
I don't care what anyone says, I think it's better than Lightning Rod. The first inversion off the lift hill is a blast and that zero G roll is absolutely epic. And yes, it's every bit as smooth as you described. The launch on Lightning Rod is the only element that is better than Storm Chaser.
@Patrick Cadiz They are both fantastic and easily in the top 20 coasters in the country. I don't quite get the airtime on LR that most people do because I'm 6'4 260lbs. So I get stapled on almost every ride. For that reason, the quad down on LR isn't so great to me.
@@XscreamThrills Lol! You know how most of the so called Coaster Enthusiasts are. If you don't fall in line & agree with the crowd they call you GP. I guess I'm a General Enthusiast, somewhere between CE and GP. I like what I like, it's simple. I like your channel because you don't always follow the same script as most of the CEs.
KK is my home park and imo storm chaser feels like half a ride. After the zero g roll it's pretty much over. Quick airtime pops aren't really my thing and the helix is just forceless and dumb. I still marathon it tho since there's never a line
My overall # 3 coaster out of over 434. The airtime strength, pacing, variety of elements, and how it seemed to ride much faster than it should, made this stand out as a potential # 1. Are you going to make it to Keys to the Kingdom on August 30th?
Dont hate on me but for the Rmcs I have ridden they rank 1.lightning Rod 2.Storm Chaser 3.Steel vengeance Sense I have steel vengeance at my home park I have ridden it dozens of times and I have sat in almost every row and I realized the airtime isn't always consistent well as on storm chaser I did a marathon of 19 rides and I couldn't get enough of it and with every row I sat in the airtime was always insane and never let me down.
My home park is also cp and I’ve ridden storm chaser several times as well and no offense to storm chaser but a bad ride SV still beats Storm chaser but not by much.
@@kylebetz9684 Yea I can agree with that, I think its just sense ive ridden steel vengeance more then any other coaster at 51 rides I feel the same airtime is just getting a little old.....by all means still an insane coaster
It’s a very fun ride and the trick track double up has VERY aggressive airtime but the layout just doesn’t deliver for me... it left me unsatisfied and wanting more but I still think it’s a great ride! Awesome review btw!!!
I went here for the first time about a month ago. This ride is very intense I like the drop as well. The endimg of the ride shortly after the picture kinda sucks tho. The packed all that punch just for that baby turn around. Could've went into a medium air time hill then been a small Helix as the finale. T3 on the other hand with absolutely destroy your crotch. I could only rode it once.. how can you not notice storm chaser when pulling into the park? Unless they moved the entrance lol

If the trick track double up hurts u cuz of the airtime, then it will be my favorite element
That trick track double up into the double down looks like it makes this a top 3 RMC.
Love this coaster .

I haven't decided if I like Wicked Cyclone or Storm Chaser better. Both are great rides though!

😉👍
This is a fair review of my home park RMC.

What? How dare you have a different opinion! :)

XscreamThrills that just made me giggle a bit LOL!
The trains are so nice
Your reviews are great!
Thank you!
Storm Chaser looks like the most underrated RMC
It gets passed over too much, but it's an A+ ride!
@@XscreamThrills Yeah, it looks great. Also nice review!
It’s definitely underrated.

This ride looks like it packs a huge punch for it's size!

Unfortunately, I won't be there on the 30th
Dont hate on me but for the Rmcs I have ridden they rank
1.lightning Rod
2.Storm Chaser
3.Steel vengeance

We all have our own preferences, I can respect your ranking!
For me it's
1. Lightning Rod
2. Outlaw Run
3. Steel Vengeance
So I'm almost the same way
I am not surprised, this seriously looks like an amazing RMC. The airtime looks so sustained but so strong at the same time, it's just insane man.

They could at leats put some scenery. around the ride. Since it still looks like its testing lol
Hopefully worth their attraction on the easy, it'll spruce up that area

The ending kinda putters out, but I think the overall layout is pretty solid.
@@XscreamThrills agreed
Would you say it's better than Lighting Run?
For sure I would say
Yeah I think so, but I like both for different reasons
The first drop is similar to the one on Twisted Timbers. Twisted Timbers I tell ya!
2
Try harder next time 😉
They should rmc it honestly 😒
Most definitely
