@@masonp9504 hmm your the 2nd person to say it's not true without backing up with facts. Why do you think it's not true? Having watched the whole game, I remember a band ( I think was the Moody Blues but not positive) advertised all week to sing the national anthem. They had to cancel so they got some local chorus to sing the American national anthem and Geddy, who was attending, to sing rhe Canadien national anthem. If you have info refuting this please post, I don't like giving misinformtion but this is exactly how I remember it. Can't find much on the internet.

For those that don't know, google Geddy Lee and his support for the Negro League Hall of Fame in Kansas City. This man is an authentic baseball fan that absolutely loves the game.

I believe that he favored the Fender Jazz Bass by the time Moving Pictures came around.

He played the Ricky on most of the songs on Moving Pictures and Signals and spent the rest of the 80s playing Wal and Steinberger basses. He didn't start regularly start using the Jazz Bass till 92 or 93.
Yeah...break out in a bass solo right after the delivery of the song like The Scorpions did with Kojo no Tsuki and crush that song, respectfully.
A cappella is tough but he knocked it out of the park 👍✌

@Daniel Crawfŏrd totally agree. Rush is my favorite band of all time but their lyrics in many instances clash with my own world view. Sadly the Trees will not be kept equal.

I taped this allstar game of vhs when i was a kid - total rush fan then and blew my mind to see geddy up there - at the time i hated canada bc the Blue Jays beat the Braves the previous WS - and in 1993 the Phucking Phillies beat them after the Braves had one of the greatest comeback regular seasons in MLB history. I hate the Phillies to this day for that. So I pulled for the Blue Jays that year and they won -- And from then on I became a big fan of all things Canada unless the Braves played them. I even became a Canucks fan the year the Rangers beat them in one of the greatest Stanley Cup finals to date. -- Then years later Alex Lifeson showed Bubbles how to play The Trees....
