Yeah nah, such a silly dumb mod on the ifs 100. Far better to go 33s and put the effort into longer travel suspension set-up. Piss that AHC off and go longer front shocks, and longer rear coils and shocks. You'll go further off road and it will be a much better ride on road than just hacking everything to fit 35s. Body lift just makes for a more top heavy vehicle, better to keep it low and wide with extra suspension travel.
Long travel would be a lot more effort than this! You're right about the body lift and the 33s though. If I ever go offroad this will be worse, not better.
disagree completely. The AHC is mint, and can readily handle the tires / trails / etc. Conventional suspension is a one trick pony, and sacrifices in multiple areas, to be good in one. AHC does it all. A 2" body lift will allow the 35" to fit cleanly and fully articulate without any sensor adjustments. Look to New Zealand for some nice inexpensive kits.
interesting, as I got the same. the pucks are great and clean, and the bolts are all 8.8 zinc coated. Seems fine to me, you wanted something different? @@landcruiserscotland
Hey man! Scotsman in NZ, 2000 100 series owner. 285/75/16 seems to be the sweet spot on these wagons. 2” lift😊
Hello! These big tyres are definitely not in the sweet spot :)
@@landcruiserscotland😂 they look great though eh!
Watched all your videos at least twice. Thanks so much for your helpful videos. Planning to go through this same exact operation soon!
Glad they're being useful. Thanks for watching
Following!! This is awesome!!!
Thanks hope you enjoy the new videos coming this week ❤️
I am putting the Yokohoma geolandar 27570R18 soon. The 285 70 18 would be good too in 2006 Lx470.
Those 285s will go on without mods at 33inches. Be tempted 😏
would 33inch fit wihtout mods?
Yep straight on no fuss. That's the biggest size without mods.
Did you ever do the body lift?
I sure did. I'm working on a video guide for that, sure there aren't any I can find
i was about to start this channel if you didn't XD ...JK i'm discovering the LC world and aiming to get a HDJ100 soon
Brilliant you should still do it! More information is more better. Where are you located?
Can you fit 265/75R16 on a 1999 Toyota Land Cruiser?
Yeah easily. They go straight on - no modifications needed. They're only 1 inch bigger than standard.
285 75 16 fit tight
@@rhoodj just how I like it

I got my body lift from flat out in New Zealand and it was crap. Badly machined and bolts with a low tensile rating.
However I'd never give up my ahc unless I absolutely had to
