Thank you for this great video trip and fine filming and music. It is just perfect. Anyone who loves the California mountains will very much enjoy your fine trip. Living is Los Angeles I always loved eastern Sierra and US 395 and backpacking the high country from East and West side but had never been through this pass. Thank you so much.
Thank You Mark, for letting the stunning scenery speak for itself. Thank You for not mugging for the camera or adding vacuous narration. Thank you for the excellent acoustic guitar soundtrack. Great video!
Kennedy Meadows on the pass has a very Yosemite feel about, some great backpacking there. Great video, I could feel the cool air being pushed along by the river, the music was perfect. Nice pic in Tahoe, that's been home for 46 years. I tried to clean your camera lens a couple of times.lol
Can't believe after going to Tahoe and Mammoth for over 40 years via the beautful 395, I never went through this Pass....it was incredible...thanks Mark, for making sure it was a 'not-to-miss' this time!! It was sooooo beautiful !! 💚🏔🗻🌞
I hoping to maybe drive it as part of a longer road trip at the beginning of June (2023). We'll see if the road is clear by then. I can't even imagine the amount of snow they've gotten up there!
My favorite part of the Sierras... been camping and backpacking in the Sonora Pass area all my life. Two mule skinners serve this area, one on the Nevada side on the Walker River and the other on the CA side at Kennedy Meadows Resort. The creek on the CA side of the pass is called Deadman's Creek - apparently sometime in the 1800s a man was found frozen solid sitting on the wide of the stream not far from the Pass...
I almost died here once. Did a 360° with a crazy drop off to the side of us. The road was frozen and hit the side of the mountain. I remember hoping the trees would keep me from going very far down the mountain and being mad at the person driving. Sonora
this is a good motorcycle ride. just watch out as not corners are what they look like. very steep grades. but for all that is good keep all trailers and rv’s off this pass.
Went through this pass not knowing it is the steepest pass in the US. Truck and trailer loaded at around 23,000lbs. Sketchiest thing I've ever done in my life at 1am in the morning...
Thank You Mark, for letting the stunning scenery speak for itself. Thank You for not mugging for the camera or adding vacuous narration. Thank you for the excellent acoustic guitar soundtrack. Great video!
Beautiful mountains.
Came for the Views, keep returning for the music 👌🏻
