When Mindy says that "a couple of people can't get past" what Lisa did, it sounds like she is the only one who can't seem to get past it. She has made it a point of calling Lisa out on interview after interview, meanwhile, Kim and Nancy haven't even talked about it.

Lisa was by far the most devoted to FOL, and maybe she didn't want to take the chance of the other women bailing out like they did with the tenth season. I seem to remember Mindy pushing for her own show as FOL was going off the air, and she insisted that no references be made to FOL at all. The network retaliated by not picking up the show, and to get back at them, she only did a cameo appearance by phone in the final FOL episode.

I hate that it's any one them but my suspicion is that it's Lisa. I think she's tried to make a comeback after a divorce that has left her in some financial need. This may be a controversial take, but Blair was often the center of the storylines and, when not, was a scene stealer. Even though it was an ensemble cast, there's always a character who sticks out. Lisa probably thought they could build a show just around her.

What’s wild is that the actor who played Blair’s dad (we all know this is about Lisa!) played the probated judge in Palm Royale. Nicolas Coster’s last listed acting credit before his death. For what it’s worth Palm Royale is a delight and almost every episode of Facts of Life holds tf up.
It's Lisa. But just to put this out there. The last two episodes of Facts of life was set up to be a spin off of Blair (Lisa) buying Eastland and becoming the head mistress. This never got beyond the two episodes (btw featuring a very young Mayim Bialik and Juilette Lewis) maybe Lisa was trying to go that route of storyline again. But again, no one knows for sure, except those 4 actresses.
Ya got to be atp. Kim hasnt stopped working & very recently all over each others social media in very loving ways, 'seems' real friggin deal. Nancy too. Take it over leave it but not 'greedy'. Lisa def comes across very sweet & humble too on the surface but outta ALL of them could see it being the least legit. Exactly. Lisa hasn't acted in quite a while so if she was going to do this, why wouldn't she be compensated for it? She may have done a "Kim Katrall" when it came to this reboot. Personally, these reboots don't do very well, despite the fan interest. It takes special writing to pick up the storylines, and just like SATC, Facts had at least two to three movies.
No, it isn't "just a family argument". Lisa Whelchel is a grown-ass adult who deliberately set out to get her own show while deliberately shutting the others. That is the "other side" of the story; no matter what justifications she has for doing this skeevy thing doesn't change the fact that she did a skeevy thing. The very fact that she even tried to do that shows that she feels zero loyalty to the others, so why should they trust her again?
The idea of a reboot, which probably was never going to happen, tearing a 40 year friendship apart is genuinely sad. I hope they can all move past it with grace and be friends again. Really, it's just not worth it and it's kind of sad seeing Mindy airing dirty laundry over something that ultimately is a moot point. There's not going to be a reboot. They're all pushing 60. Some time ago, Lisa wrote a book about how she had a breakthrough when she learned she didn't have to smile all the time, etc. Years later she was on Survivor and staged a big "breakthrough" where she said she'd learned she didn't have to smile all the time, etc. She also wrote a parental advice book about how to get your children to behave using harsh treatment and public humiliation. She's not the person she played on TV.

Exactly. There’s another podcast here on UA-cam Mindy did a few months ago and she goes into more detail but she did say what was presented to them about the reboot none of them liked and possibly that’s when Lisa asked to maybe do a show with just Blair.
It's a problem if four people are trying to get a reboot of a show but behind the scenes one of them is trying to get her own show that's duplicitous and if you can't see that then you have a problem.

Long time FOL fan here... and bitter betty. The real irony here is that when Facts of Life ended, Ms. Cohn gave an interview with TV Guide where she stated that she initiated a pact among the girls to never do a reboot or reunion of the show. However in 2001, money got flashed, and Cohn herself became a "greedy bitch" choosing to be one of 3 that signed on for a terrible Facts of Life TV Reunion movie. (Nancy McKeon was the only one that through the years has held true to not revisiting the show via a reboot or reunion movie - she's been very wise about it.) But lets be real - Cohn, and her character, were never a standout of the show to begin with. Outside of the "very special episode" in the final season, and a couple "dramatic" episodes peppered through the 9 year run, the character Natalie never had a long-standing or memorable story arc. Cohn's acting was self-admittedly sub-par when compared to the others (especially in the first 3 or 4 "Eastland" seasons where the camera had to pan away from her because she would often break character or laugh at her own delivery of lines.) Its apparent, from virtually every interview she has given over the past 40 years, that she's always yearned for a glamourous Hollywood career. She's very much "Look who I know, look who I hung out with in the '80's." But her career since FOL has been just a series of guest spots on a show here and there - including the recent background character in the Palm Royale streaming show. I mean, seriously, Voicing Velma in a Scooby Doo cartoon reboot didn't quite earn her that oscar, now did it? Bottom line, she's got as many issues as whomever she is alluding to in this gossip session. Would I be mad if a friend tried to undercut me on a deal? Absolutely furious. But frankly, I'm utterly disappointed by her apparent cattiness and ignorance to her legacy on the show. She'll never again achieve the success she had being on FOL. But rather than protect that, she stooped to today's "Lets say something salacious and trashy about a former costar and play coy about it to make headlines." At nearly 60 years old, she should have been mature and resolute enough to recognize that millions of us grew up loving that show and hold those "girls" close in our hearts. A real shame. But then again, maybe this is all a ruse and the actresses concocted a publicity stunt to get millions of hits on social media? Who knows what the actual "facts" are. Nothing would surprise me these days. She's probably just vying for Kim Richards old spot on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. All I know is, from now on when I watch FOL re-runs, my enjoyment will be dimmed by this crappy dark cloud. Bad move Cohn.

Is this coming from the same woman who was given a chance to do 1 more season of series but decided against it along with Nancy Mckeon? Season 10 would have ended the series on the right foot. Mrs. Garrett said that she would be back from the Peace Corps after 2 years, Charlotte Rae could have been asked back to help give the series a definitive closure but we will never know. The same woman that distanced herself from the cast and wanted to do other projects before the show was canceled. Now, the same woman who said that the cast was ready for a reboot but 1 cast member hindered the project. They all seem nice from a far but no one really knows when it comes to money. It’s best to let it stay in the past.
I thought the NBC Execs themselves cancelled the series since the ratings were plummeting? When Lisa and Nancy found that out, they decided to bail. It was getting pretty lame and long-in-the-tooth by that point. I mean, the only thing that sorta saved it towards the end was the storyline of Natalie losing her virginity.

She said Brandon Tartikoff went to the cast and offered them a chance to do 1 more Season of the show, which would be Season 10. She and another girl “Nancy Mckeon”, voted against it. It doesn’t matter now, if they were dead set against it back then, why do they care about a reboot? Season 10 would have given the show a proper closure, even half a season would be better than none.

@@gereminguyen4923 I had never heard that story before. The story I had always heard about the show coming to an end in 1988 was because the plan to pull a Mayberry RFD/Archie Bunker's Place on the show fell through with Lisa Whelchel's marriage.
No doubt in my mind that it is Lisa - there was a really weird vibe when the live Facts aired; Lisa did the theme song and when Mindy & Kim come out they looked very uncomfortable. Nancy has never struck me as someone who puts up w/any BS and stays out of the Limelight as much as possible. When TV Land Honored the show/cast w/a tribute some years back, I was very surprised, but happy, to see her there.

Its likely Lisa. I can only guess because she felt she was passed over for the spinoff she was supposed to get when Facts of Life originally went off the air. The final two episodes of "Facts" were set up where Blair had purchased the Eastland school and made it co-ed. Mayim Bialik, Seth Green, and Juliette Lewis played some of the kids who probably would've carried over to the spinoff. Also, Mindy herself was intended to be in another 'Facts of Life' spinoff that never went forward. Also in the last season Natalie moved out of the house and into an apartment in NYC where she shared space with multiple roommates, which included Richard Grieco and David Spade as part of the cast. It kinda played like "Friends" long before it was created. What seemed obvious is that David Spade was clearly set up to be the breakout star of that ensemble because all the great lines seemed to go to him. He came off like an imitation Michael J. Fox who at the time was NBC's biggest star.

Like it or not - and I’ll bet Mindy doesn’t - Lisa was the star of the show. And as much as Mindy wants to be queen hag, it’s always been Blair / Lisa that the gays die for. Mindy has not really done all that much. People keep forgetting that Lisa is ultra conservative and religious. Back when they were on Facts of Life she refused to appear in the episode where Mindy Cohen's character loses her virginity. So she's more likely to want to split off from the other three.
To be fair, while what Lisa did was worse, Mindy is living in her own glass house. And that would have meant a bunch of older women going through a series of sexual partners while trying to act and live like a bunch of youngsters. (Which is why I would never live in Florida, it is really like that down there). That would have been too much for Lisa, though in this day and age, I am not sure a completely "wholesome" reboot would have lasted all that long. Reboots never work, anyway (just look at "Frasier"), so FOL is better off left as a cherished memory.

Okay, there is a picture of Mindy, Kim, and Nancy in 2022. The negotiations or talks happened in 2021. In 2022, they were attending Norman Lear's 100th birthday celebration. If it was Kim or Nancy, she would not have called them family at that time because the pain was still very recent. Yes, they were on the Drew show without Kim, but she did say they talk now but one can't get over it. Maybe Kim did not show because she still can't get over the betrayal from Lisa. She said the person was desperate for fame and money. Honey, Kim is not desperate for either. She has them both. She specifically stated it was not about who she is or is not following, it is who she's hanging out with. Although this interview is recent, at the time of the separation, Lisa was not in any posts. She also stated she had booked Palm Royal and another girl is working. Now, the first show for Palm Royal aired in 2024. Kim has been working on The Upshaws since 2021. Wasn't the talks happening in 2021? Why would Kim leave a show that she knows is working for something that may not work? Kim had no reason to try to negotiate a separate show. Look at all of the clues she gave, it points to Lisa. The only reason people are not saying Nancy is because of the picture with them in 2022. But, if you think about it, Lisa, Mindy, and Kim are working. Why is no one looking at Nancy?

We Don’t know the behind the scenes situation. From what I have read and viewed it is Lisa. Right now we only have Mindy’s story on it. If I recall a spin-off was planned with Lisa. There could still be a contract clause in play there. Maybe the script was crap and she used the clause to get out. We haven’t seen Kim or Nancy come out on the topic.
Collector's call on MeTV is an incredibly 2nd rate gig, at best - Kim is working w/her new show The Upshaws on Netflix and it has been renewed for a 3rd season. Nancy shuns the public eye for the most part. I think Lisa wanted to be front and center of attention, again.
They had a reunion on the Drew Barrymore show. Mindy, Nancy and Lisa were there. Kim was not. Most of the photos Mindy is talking about are from a while ago. The reunion is from February.

The thing is Lisa Whelchel got the best received by being ageless so she probably figured she was entitled to her own spin off. She’s probably in the best position to get her own spin off anyway, but all things considered. I’m glad that this reboot didn’t happen because it wasn’t needed.

Ok. So saw another video where Mindy pretty much says it's Lisa when asked what Natalie would be doing today. She said Natalie would be friends with Jo and Tootie. With that said, it sounds like Mindy has no forgiveness when a "family" screws up and now after kind of working to making up she pulls the relationship a part. If Lisa has apologize...and we don't know ...then where is the love. 40 years and one bad decision shouldn't wipe everything out. Not knowing Lisa's side...and she could be totally in the wrong... it's hard to say. Mindy has not been very subtle on wanting to drag Lisa out through the mud. I just...I get that it sounds like a jerk move, especially if she was wanting to play Blair again (if not then an actor looking for rolls and being able to do more than one show is not unheard of) but Mindy does not come off looking good to bring this all up after repair has been begun. They were all on Drew Barrymore's show. This is just sad and unless Lisa comes out with her side we won't know the whole story. I just think that a dumb hollywood show...that didn't exist with a jerk move shouldn't take 40 years and repair away. And to drag this up is just wrong. Oh man, families have gone through 100% more unforgivable situations than this and have come out on the other side stronger. Mindy just looks bad doing this especially as it sounds like there might have been conversations and some repair started.
It's got to be Kim because she is nowhere on Mindy's IG feed and she wasn't on Drew Barrymore's show w/ Monday, Lisa and Nancy. Also, Kim is a show biz veteran, so she could have reasonably been wanting to secure work for the future, stemming from a 'Facts of Life' reunion. We don't know what exactly went down but I love, love, love Mindy and don't doubt what she's saying.
Go watch the video of the 3 on the Drew Barrymore Show as I think it’s very telling, especially after seeing/hearing this. When the 3 are introduced and come out, Lisa is walking out ahead of the other 2 by herself. Then, the only interaction she has with Mindy is when Mindy points to Lisa where to sit, and Mindy sits as far as she can from Lisa. While Nancy does look at Lisa, from time to time, when answering Drew’s questions or listening to Lisa, they do not seem close but almost formal-like. I didn’t see it when I first saw the show, but now that I’ve watched it again, knowing what Mindy said, I could definitely see the tension. Kim wasn’t there, maybe she is the one Mindy said was having a difficult time getting pass it.
Mindy sounds like a bitter, angry and vindictive person! She's doing all these "Podcasts, talk shows and interviews" for the hopes of someone to give her another chance at stardom! but with how she's presenting herself, she only hurting herself!
Think about it. It's definitely not Kim because Mindy would never call her a greedy bi#ch I just don't see her ever calling kim that and Kim spoke of a reboot in 2021 and was interested but also mentioned how you have to be careful with reboots because you could tarnish a beloved character if not done right. So she cared more about the character's being written well and not the money so it can't be her, plus she has a show on Netflix and was never that type of person. Nancy has never been that type either, if you think about it she became the break out star of the facts of life when she arrived, she could've left the show for other opportunities but she didn't so that show's her loyalty. And she lives a quiet life in Texas so I think she's content. Now Lisa, it just might be her. She was supposed to have a spinoff but it didn't happen, she was on survivor and did some Tyler Perry films so when you look at it, she needs a paycheck. Tootie was beloved, but not enough for a spin off on her if you think about it compared to Blair's character where there was more to do with so it would have to be Lisa.

It's true that she did lose her money through bad investments and shady managers, which is sad to imagine working 10 years on a tv show then losing it all. It's hard to tell because in the last season there were two storylines that were intended to be a spinoff. One had to do with Natalie and Tootie went to Buffalo, NY to visit Tootie's aunt. The other one was when Blair bought Eastland and became the headmaster.

This is so sad. As Mindy said, they were a group of women who stuck by each other and to mess it up over money or fame is a terrible thing. It would have been great to catch up with their characters on a reboot, but the original was the best. Perhaps the ones that are still close can do a podcast that rewatches episodes and give color about what they recall behind the scenes. Would be fairly simple, and I think the fans would support it on a platform like patreon.
there was another video where Mindy says that 3 of us were still acting and one of them has not acted in awhile and she would not want to be working with them. I looked them up and all of them have acted recently. So it is still unclear.

When Mindy says that "a couple of people can't get past" what Lisa did, it sounds like she is the only one who can't seem to get past it. She has made it a point of calling Lisa out on interview after interview, meanwhile, Kim and Nancy haven't even talked about it.

@RobNHood-l4u Well, that's just it. If she is boasting about "booking Palm Royale" (a lowly rated show where she has only a recurring role), then why is she so bitter about the FOL reboot? Lisa was by far the most devoted to FOL, and maybe she didn't want to take the chance of the other women bailing out like they did with the tenth season. I seem to remember Mindy pushing for her own show as FOL was going off the air, and she insisted that no references be made to FOL at all. The network retaliated by not picking up the show, and to get back at them, she only did a cameo appearance by phone in the final FOL episode.

I hate that it's any one them but my suspicion is that it's Lisa. I think she's tried to make a comeback after a divorce that has left her in some financial need. This may be a controversial take, but Blair was often the center of the storylines and, when not, was a scene stealer. Even though it was an ensemble cast, there's always a character who sticks out. Lisa probably thought they could build a show just around her.

For what it’s worth Palm Royale is a delight and almost every episode of Facts of Life holds tf up.
It's Lisa. But just to put this out there. The last two episodes of Facts of life was set up to be a spin off of Blair (Lisa) buying Eastland and becoming the head mistress. This never got beyond the two episodes (btw featuring a very young Mayim Bialik and Juilette Lewis) maybe Lisa was trying to go that route of storyline again. But again, no one knows for sure, except those 4 actresses.

Exactly. Lisa hasn't acted in quite a while so if she was going to do this, why wouldn't she be compensated for it? She may have done a "Kim Katrall" when it came to this reboot. Personally, these reboots don't do very well, despite the fan interest. It takes special writing to pick up the storylines, and just like SATC, Facts had at least two to three movies.
No, it isn't "just a family argument". Lisa Whelchel is a grown-ass adult who deliberately set out to get her own show while deliberately shutting the others. That is the "other side" of the story; no matter what justifications she has for doing this skeevy thing doesn't change the fact that she did a skeevy thing. The very fact that she even tried to do that shows that she feels zero loyalty to the others, so why should they trust her again?
The idea of a reboot, which probably was never going to happen, tearing a 40 year friendship apart is genuinely sad. I hope they can all move past it with grace and be friends again. Really, it's just not worth it and it's kind of sad seeing Mindy airing dirty laundry over something that ultimately is a moot point. There's not going to be a reboot. They're all pushing 60. They all can't be Mrs. Garrett, it really is past the time a reboot would work (maybe if it were in a time the girls could be moms, yeah, but Grandmas? I dunno, I'm very skeptical of that working).
Loved that show. Watched it with my kids. My son, when he was a baby, would sit at the TV just to listen to the theme song.
Some time ago, Lisa wrote a book about how she had a breakthrough when she learned she didn't have to smile all the time, etc. Years later she was on Survivor and staged a big "breakthrough" where she said she'd learned she didn't have to smile all the time, etc. She also wrote a parental advice book about how to get your children to behave using harsh treatment and public humiliation. She's not the person she played on TV.

Long time FOL fan here... and bitter betty. The real irony here is that when Facts of Life ended, Ms. Cohn gave an interview with TV Guide where she stated that she initiated a pact among the girls to never do a reboot or reunion of the show. However in 2001, money got flashed, and Cohn herself became a "greedy bitch" choosing to be one of 3 that signed on for a terrible Facts of Life TV Reunion movie. (Nancy McKeon was the only one that through the years has held true to not revisiting the show via a reboot or reunion movie - she's been very wise about it.) But lets be real - Cohn, and her character, were never a standout of the show to begin with. Outside of the "very special episode" in the final season, and a couple "dramatic" episodes peppered through the 9 year run, the character Natalie never had a long-standing or memorable story arc. Cohn's acting was self-admittedly sub-par when compared to the others (especially in the first 3 or 4 "Eastland" seasons where the camera had to pan away from her because she would often break character or laugh at her own delivery of lines.) Its apparent, from virtually every interview she has given over the past 40 years, that she's always yearned for a glamourous Hollywood career. She's very much "Look who I know, look who I hung out with in the '80's." But her career since FOL has been just a series of guest spots on a show here and there - including the recent background character in the Palm Royale streaming show. I mean, seriously, Voicing Velma in a Scooby Doo cartoon reboot didn't quite earn her that oscar, now did it? Bottom line, she's got as many issues as whomever she is alluding to in this gossip session. Would I be mad if a friend tried to undercut me on a deal? Absolutely furious. But frankly, I'm utterly disappointed by her apparent cattiness and ignorance to her legacy on the show. She'll never again achieve the success she had being on FOL. But rather than protect that, she stooped to today's "Lets say something salacious and trashy about a former costar and play coy about it to make headlines." At nearly 60 years old, she should have been mature and resolute enough to recognize that millions of us grew up loving that show and hold those "girls" close in our hearts. A real shame. But then again, maybe this is all a ruse and the actresses concocted a publicity stunt to get millions of hits on social media? Who knows what the actual "facts" are. Nothing would surprise me these days. She's probably just vying for Kim Richards old spot on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. All I know is, from now on when I watch FOL re-runs, my enjoyment will be dimmed by this crappy dark cloud. Bad move Cohn.

Is this coming from the same woman who was given a chance to do 1 more season of series but decided against it along with Nancy Mckeon? Season 10 would have ended the series on the right foot. Mrs. Garrett said that she would be back from the Peace Corps after 2 years, Charlotte Rae could have been asked back to help give the series a definitive closure but we will never know. The same woman that distanced herself from the cast and wanted to do other projects before the show was canceled. Now, the same woman who said that the cast was ready for a reboot but 1 cast member hindered the project. They all seem nice from a far but no one really knows when it comes to money. It’s best to let it stay in the past.

She said Brandon Tartikoff went to the cast and offered them a chance to do 1 more Season of the show, which would be Season 10. She and another girl “Nancy Mckeon”, voted against it. It doesn’t matter now, if they were dead set against it back then, why do they care about a reboot? Season 10 would have given the show a proper closure, even half a season would be better than none.

@@gereminguyen4923 I had never heard that story before. The story I had always heard about the show coming to an end in 1988 was because the plan to pull a Mayberry RFD/Archie Bunker's Place on the show fell through with Lisa Whelchel's marriage.
No doubt in my mind that it is Lisa - there was a really weird vibe when the live Facts aired; Lisa did the theme song and when Mindy & Kim come out they looked very uncomfortable. Nancy has never struck me as someone who puts up w/any BS and stays out of the Limelight as much as possible. When TV Land Honored the show/cast w/a tribute some years back, I was very surprised, but happy, to see her there.

Its likely Lisa. I can only guess because she felt she was passed over for the spinoff she was supposed to get when Facts of Life originally went off the air. The final two episodes of "Facts" were set up where Blair had purchased the Eastland school and made it co-ed. Mayim Bialik, Seth Green, and Juliette Lewis played some of the kids who probably would've carried over to the spinoff.
Also, Mindy herself was intended to be in another 'Facts of Life' spinoff that never went forward. Also in the last season Natalie moved out of the house and into an apartment in NYC where she shared space with multiple roommates, which included Richard Grieco and David Spade as part of the cast. It kinda played like "Friends" long before it was created. What seemed obvious is that David Spade was clearly set up to be the breakout star of that ensemble because all the great lines seemed to go to him. He came off like an imitation Michael J. Fox who at the time was NBC's biggest star.
Plus, she seemed to be the one everyone was talking about - “she hasn’t aged a bit”, etc - after the live show, where she sang the theme song in a Eastland school uniform.

Like it or not - and I’ll bet Mindy doesn’t - Lisa was the star of the show. And as much as Mindy wants to be queen hag, it’s always been Blair / Lisa that the gays die for. When it comes to the Facts of Life, Lisa is the queen. And Mindy knows it. I just went down a rabbit hole when I heard about this drama, and Mindy is trashing Lisa whenever the subject comes up. Going as far as to say that Lisa does not have the chops to act anymore. Which coming from Mindy, is insane. This grudge is a very bad look for her.
Mindy has not really done all that much. What, she voiced Velma in the new Scooby Doo cartoon, she made guest cameo appearances in a couple of sitcoms, and her role in Palm Royale is designated as "minor and recurring". Meanwhile, Lisa chose motherhood over acting for many years, she very likely could have found substantive roles.

To be fair, while what Lisa did was worse, Mindy is living in her own glass house. When she was pitching for her own show as FOL drew to a close, she insisted that no references be made to FOL, there would be no guest appearances by FOL cast members, and she even suggested the dropping of the name "Natalie Green". Clearly, she was looking for a complete break. The network retaliated by not picking up the show, and Mindy retaliated by making only a cameo appearance by way of telephone in the final FOL episode. She was not even in the climactic final scene. (Which was not all that climactic).

And that would have meant a bunch of older women going through a series of sexual partners while trying to act and live like a bunch of youngsters. (Which is why I would never live in Florida, it is really like that down there). That would have been too much for Lisa, though in this day and age, I am not sure a completely "wholesome" reboot would have lasted all that long. Reboots never work, anyway (just look at "Frasier"), so FOL is better off left as a cherished memory.

Okay, there is a picture of Mindy, Kim, and Nancy in 2022. The negotiations or talks happened in 2021. In 2022, they were attending Norman Lear's 100th birthday celebration. If it was Kim or Nancy, she would not have called them family at that time because the pain was still very recent. Yes, they were on the Drew show without Kim, but she did say they talk now but one can't get over it. Maybe Kim did not show because she still can't get over the betrayal from Lisa.
She said the person was desperate for fame and money. Honey, Kim is not desperate for either. She has them both. She specifically stated it was not about who she is or is not following, it is who she's hanging out with. Although this interview is recent, at the time of the separation, Lisa was not in any posts. She also stated she had booked Palm Royal and another girl is working. Now, the first show for Palm Royal aired in 2024. Kim has been working on The Upshaws since 2021. Wasn't the talks happening in 2021? Why would Kim leave a show that she knows is working for something that may not work? Kim had no reason to try to negotiate a separate show.
Look at all of the clues she gave, it points to Lisa. The only reason people are not saying Nancy is because of the picture with them in 2022. But, if you think about it, Lisa, Mindy, and Kim are working. Why is no one looking at Nancy?

Ok. So saw another video where Mindy pretty much says it's Lisa when asked what Natalie would be doing today. She said Natalie would be friends with Jo and Tootie. With that said, it sounds like Mindy has no forgiveness when a "family" screws up and now after kind of working to making up she pulls the relationship a part. If Lisa has apologize...and we don't know ...then where is the love. 40 years and one bad decision shouldn't wipe everything out. Not knowing Lisa's side...and she could be totally in the wrong... it's hard to say. Mindy has not been very subtle on wanting to drag Lisa out through the mud. I just...I get that it sounds like a jerk move, especially if she was wanting to play Blair again (if not then an actor looking for rolls and being able to do more than one show is not unheard of) but Mindy does not come off looking good to bring this all up after repair has been begun. They were all on Drew Barrymore's show. This is just sad and unless Lisa comes out with her side we won't know the whole story. I just think that a dumb hollywood show...that didn't exist with a jerk move shouldn't take 40 years and repair away. And to drag this up is just wrong. Oh man, families have gone through 100% more unforgivable situations than this and have come out on the other side stronger. Go watch the video of the 3 on the Drew Barrymore Show as I think it’s very telling, especially after seeing/hearing this. When the 3 are introduced and come out, Lisa is walking out ahead of the other 2 by herself. Then, the only interaction she has with Mindy is when Mindy points to Lisa where to sit, and Mindy sits as far as she can from Lisa. While Nancy does look at Lisa, from time to time, when answering Drew’s questions or listening to Lisa, they do not seem close but almost formal-like. I didn’t see it when I first saw the show, but now that I’ve watched it again, knowing what Mindy said, I could definitely see the tension. Kim wasn’t there, maybe she is the one Mindy said was having a difficult time getting pass it.

I figured it was Lisa Welchel. Over the years, Blair has remained/become the fan favorite. She was probably trying to leverage that...I could see Mindy Cohen and Nancy McKeon happy to revisit and and expand on their characters. Kim Fields is constantly working and has the highest profile.
Agree. Plus, it seemed like after that live show, where Lisa Welchel, wearing her Eastland uniform, sang that theme song, there was a lot of buzz about Lisa - how good she did, how good she looked,etc.
Definitely Lisa. She was just on Survivor for a season and pretty much whined the entire time about how she lost everything through bad investments and whatnot. If she's doing reality shows AND supposedly broke, she's scheming to get her own show. 100%
Lisa wasn't 'just on "Survivor "'''. That was in 2012, 12 years ago. It's true that she did lose her money through bad investments and shady managers, which is sad to imagine working 10 years on a tv show then losing it all. The show is still airing through reruns and streaming, and I bet they get very little, if any residuals.
@@niceguy5976 they get nothing from the DVDs because that was not put into their contract at the time. In the 1970s, home video was in its infancy, and nobody believed that there would come a time when people would want to own entire television shows like they were libraries of books.
I literally just finished the season of Survivor Lisa played on and I would not be surprised in the least to learn it was her based on how she maneuvered in that game 😂

I don’t see anything wrong with trying to see what could be offered. It’s show business. Seems like that would be your agents trying to get as much as they could for their star client. Wouldn’t mean that a reboot couldn’t happen. Just sad bc it would’ve been a big hit.
What Mindi Cohn may not like is that the show especially the latter years were about McKeon and Welchel.
ironically Cohn had the 'field experience' of attending an all girls private school.

It's hard to tell because in the last season there were two storylines that were intended to be a spinoff. One had to do with Natalie and Tootie went to Buffalo, NY to visit Tootie's aunt. The other one was when Blair bought Eastland and became the headmaster.

Lisa wanted to negotiate more for herself which is show business. They could have done the same. I don't get why Lisa is being accused of sabotaging a business deal by wanting more money. Did I miss something? Mindy has been in the TV industry for well over 40 years. She knows how it works. Don't hate on Lisa for not wanting to sell herself short.

Pretty chickenshit of Mindy to go all the way to the line, then not have the balls to say the name. Pretty much everyone knows she's talking about Lisa Welchel. Mindy alleges this took place nearly 3 years ago after the Norman Lear Live episodes of FOL and DS, yet she just appeared on Drew Barrymore's show a few months back with Welchel and McKeon. How does she explain that? Kim Fields has been a working actress from the 1970s to present day, and Nancy McKeon has basically retired from acting. *IF* Lisa Welchel did this, then shame on her for crapping on her sisters. *BUT* she should be given the chance to defend herself before Mindy's mob starts lobbing greandes at her on social media. I'll wait for Lisa to tell her side of the story, or say nothing at all. Either way, I'm not knocking her without some proof.
We're only hearing from Mindy Cohn's side of the story. If Mindy really feels strongly about it, why didn't she just say her name? Why play coy and pretend to be virtuous, and then call her a "greedy bitch?" We all know she's referring to Lisa Welchel. I still don't get how Welchel's side deal derailed the reboot. I wish she would elaborate on that.
The show already had a couple reunion novies. So it really didnt need another. But this radio interview has completely killed it for all time. All of them should have worked things out together. But Mindy just deep sixed it for them all. 😂
This is so sad. As Mindy said, they were a group of women who stuck by each other and to mess it up over money or fame is a terrible thing. It would have been great to catch up with their characters on a reboot, but the original was the best. Perhaps the ones that are still close can do a podcast that rewatches episodes and give color about what they recall behind the scenes. Would be fairly simple, and I think the fans would support it on a platform like patreon.

there was another video where Mindy says that 3 of us were still acting and one of them has not acted in awhile and she would not want to be working with them. I looked them up and all of them have acted recently. So it is still unclear.
Joe wouldn't and Lisa wouldn't because she's extremely religious and they would make it Contemporary. I say Kim was shooting for an Urban version because that's was required to greenlight projects in this climate.
Kim supposedly had her own idea about doing a Different Strokes reboot with Todd Bridges with them as the foster parents.
Lisa isn't extremely religious anymore. She has changed quite a bit since her divorce.
