Why give more to Ukrainian, Israel or the Saudis (the latter controls the oil and did not help the gasoline production for the US during COVID) that there’s no way to know how it is spent? Mean while here the education, health, legal and DHS (homelessness) system is going down the drain. With 20 BILLION DOLLARS the government could grant every citizen a 3 acre lot with a house. There’s 2 billion acres of land in the US. That would be half of the acreage available in the US, shifting the maintenance responsibility to the private citizens.

I do not care what the folks say who took the time to say something negative. I am very pleased this package went through. Places Ukraine in a better position if they have to negotiate a cease fire or other arrangement. I hope they can drive Russia out of Crimea, time will only tell. As for spending money on Americans, we have an infrastructure bill that my home state TN is taking full advantage of despite my Senators voting against and trashing Biden. Also, Americans got trillion dollars during Covid and all I heard from Republicans after is that was just a give away and didn't help anyone. I think there are lots of us who disagree. Almost like a certain segment of the population just likes to whine.

It appears buyers remorse has set in for the ethnic Ukrainians. The worse thing Ukraine ever did was agree to rent Russians a base at Sevastopol. Interesting when the Ukrainians did not want to renew we get an invasion and some sort of referendum. It still belongs to Ukraine and they should get it back. Mr. Obama was a fool to let that happen without any push back. You might look at how hard the Ukrainians fought during that period too. Their military took heavy casualties during that little event. Why do you think we were arming them in the last decade.
