Lyrics:
I never said I'd lie in wait forever
If I died, we'd be together, ow
I can't always just forget her
But she could try
At the end of the world or the last thing I see
You are never coming home, never coming home
Could I? Should I?
And all the things that you never ever told me
And all the smiles that are ever, ever
Ever get the feeling that you're never all alone?
And I remember now
At the top of my lungs in my arms, she dies, she dies
At the end of the world or the last thing I see
You are never coming home, never coming home
Could I? Should I?
And all the things that you never ever told me
And all the smiles that are ever gonna haunt me
Never coming home, never coming home
Could I? Should I?
And all the wounds that are ever gonna scar me
For all the ghosts that are never gonna catch me
If I fall
If I fall down
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
At the end of the world or the last thing I see
You are never coming home, never coming home
Never coming home, never coming home
And all the things that you never ever told me
And all the smiles that are ever going to haunt me
Never coming home, never coming home
Could I? Should I?

One of the coolest transitions I've ever seen in a music video
I'm 36, a former emo kid (long hair, skinny jeans, band t-shirt, converse hi-tops, wrist bands) turned USMC Infantry vet (Afghanistan 11).
I got lucky and had a relatively chill deployment, but that being said I did lose a couple buddies over there; this song hits differently now.

Drunk atm and all up in my feelings n shit so started listening to some old music n ended up here.
My best friend and I from high school held each other like it was the last time we'd see each other while at their concert bc I was joining up to be a combat medic (91W back then, "health care specialist") and would be gone for boot camp within the month. Both of us knew our lives would be so different after I left...and we both knew I'd be (likely) in Iraq pretty soon after training.
Our battalion did indeed ship out 6 weeks after I got to my duty station.
We ugly cried during this song and just held one another bc she was convinced I wouldn't make it back alive. I wish I didn't.
This girl (now also a grown ass woman) helped me get through some tough ass shit, both my parents dead before I turned 15... So much other shit.

This album is a masterpiece and tho popular I still feel its underrated.
I used to DREAM of them converting this album into a storyline for a movie/musical
I could see that. It's definitely one of the best, if not the best, albums of that decade.
Funny you should day that, a popular youtuber (wendigoon) did a video on "the black parade" and claims it's meant to me a story through song form, so I wouldn't be surprised if "three cheers for sweet revenge" is as well.

You should have left the country in 2014 instead of listening to the songs
@@nani9697would you abandon your home so easily?
I cried when i saw Gerard screaming " MIKEY MIKEY NO MIKEY " when he died ( Also Gerards hair gives me life )
The actual look of terror in his eyes makes me actually die inside
I JUST LISTEN TO THE FIRST PART THEN REMEMBER THAT PART AND IMMEDIATELY CRY LITERAL OCEANS WORTH
I cry throughout the whole video
I cried the whole time

Fr yo

Phantom MAG

I was 15 when this song came out. I’m 29 now and I still get the same rush every time I hear this song play 🥹🖤
This music video still gives me the chills. What a masterpiece.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Seen/Unseen” by SLT 🤘🐺🎸🐺🤘
@@beezybeez7231 thank you.
@@johnq.publik9005 thx for listening 🤘🙏
how much gel did they use to tame the fro
Gallons of the stuff
Give them all that you can you can drink but it'll never be enough
Nope. Why would you drink gallons of hair gel? Lol
Sara Lee there are some people who like to drink petrol or nail varnish, chances are there's somebody out there who'd drink hair gel XD
Sara Lee You really didn't get that?
1. I always cry listening to this
2. Gerard is hot
3. I like his hair styled like that

Facts 💯

Your Pfp is amazing
Gerard looks good on that look 😍
That translation ,dance floor to battle field is better than any I’ve seen
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “The Wave Acoustic” by SLT 🤘🐺🎧🐺🤘
When I was in high school, I liked that song but here I am at 35 (almost 36) and as a man, I can’t get enough of this song.
Songs like this were ahead of its time. Happy 2024 everyone
This is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🤘🐺🎼🐺🤘

Gerard: NOOOOO
Mikey: *dead*
Ray: oh man
malyee
goddamnit mikey not again
I read it more like "well shit."
Gerard: *hyperventilating*
hotel: trivago
this is the funny part of the video
You can see Gerard calling mikeys name that makes me wanna cry
the worst part about it is that he actually wasn’t acting, and couldn’t bear to see his brother like that despite it only being for the video.. 😔😔 thus they could only do 2 takes bc he was breaking down too much
cherry isverycool seriously? Cause I was about to say it's great acting but it looked to good...
Legit I did start crying. Because, holy crap I can’t imagine what it feels like to lose a brother or sister. Or hell have to actually watch them as they die. Such a great video.
Yes v much so
IKR
I never ... Thought I would be listening to this song 15 years later.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🪖🐺
This WW2 era vibe they present makes me love this song so much more.
why does gerard look so handsome with his hair like that. am i the only one who thinks that????
He does! He looks especially perfect at 0:22
I know right! 🖤
same with me he's more handsome with that hairstyle
Melanie Corrales definitely not
I liked him most with the long black greasy hair
Producers: so how much money are we spending on this?
Gerard: YES
They spent $1mil on it too

My grandpa was in WWII and every time I watch this amazing video (which is A LOT) and listen to the words from this phenomenal song, I always picture my grandpa being there.. Such an amazing song for sure.
The most expensive and highly produced music video ever (at the time). This was groundbreaking and I can comfortably say it's one of the best music videos ever made.
