      @@kurzey8532 I got my 10 gallon for around 140 usd but I guess they might be a bit more expensive over there. In my experience compressors normally fail in two ways, either the compressor itself gets worn down and won't compress air above a certain pressure or a seal somewhere else leaks causing loss of pressure. Most small compressors are rated for 120 psi and will dump air or stop running at that point so I honestly wouldn't worry. Well done on the engine though.

    I am trying to make one engine right now, you gave me some kind of idea and reminded me that my first goal was to make an air engine with no other material needed😂.. I need to go back to that goal, anyway I’m going to shoot you my thoughts, the air engine don’t need a connecting rod from the piston to the crankshaft, the air will push it... it just need something to push it back! Otherwise, I’m surprised that you didn’t made a valve overlap design for adjusting, and still made the engine works! The overlap adjustment is actually the hart of the engine, there’s an overlap that you need to adjust it, to reach the maximum efficiency, that’s where piston suppose to be at, when the valve is supposed to be opened...

    • @kurzey8532
      @kurzey8532 3 роки тому

      Will be hard to get it to seal with just 3d printed parts, unless you can print off a gasket in tpu or something.
      I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, without the con rod there's no way to convert the linear motion of the piston to rotational motion at the crankshaft, you would just have a piston osciallting between two postions, unless ive misunderstood.
      I get the valve timing by animating the joints in fusion 360, though it would be useful to be able to adjust the valve timing without printing a new crankshaft!
      Thanks for the suggestions!

      drive.google.com/file/d/1DMP0sAE5eOtbaeHH6oOq_jIQ7OzlL_qE/view?usp=drivesdk
      And I viewed your videos and, yes, you are not succeeded for the first time, that’s my misunderstood. And as well, in my opinion for right now, air engine is not as efficiency as , just reverse air pump into an air motor, because engine is an design to transfer heat into useful energy, not for pressurized air...
      but it’s fun tho! 😂
      Still will make one and will share it on youmagine if I do make one!
      And my goal is make one works, and as long as the air is not leaked completely before it works, it’s a success to me!
      As well I’d like to make a video but I am too bad at speaking, describing, so I’m probably making very bad videos😂, anyway how do you think about this pushing rod?

      @@minercraftal ahh what you have looks almost like a radial engine, would love to see if it actually works!
      this engine works similar to a 2 stroke engine, they probably could be made to be quite powerful if pressure was high enough, the problem is the energy density of compressed air is very low so need a large tank

    • @minercraftal
      @minercraftal 3 роки тому

      @@kurzey8532 I did made it close to 1 square inch so the psi would turn into pounds 😂, and it is a radial engine, but the problem is, I have too many ideas... this has been upgraded at least twice in my brain already, so this crankcase will not be used, but the crankshaft probably will... but I’m not sure which plan is the end for making out😂, one is a 3 cy radial with even bigger cylinders and some much different valves designed to work, the other is to use a pvc pipe to make a opposed engine with o ring seal on cylinder and piston to make excellent seal...
