Want a good movie I didn't want the one guy to die at the end, but I guess we can't have everything. Thank you so much for these movies I love John Wayne!
At 31:07 there's a cloud of smoke over the ridge on the background. At 31:20 black smoke is very evident. It appears something was burning. Interesting.
How come no one asks about the sheriff who drove the wagon off the cliff. The protagonist does not go down to see if he is alive? The movie goes too fast for the plot. 😆😁
The time frames depicted in most of John Wayne's 1930s movies were actually 1920s or 30s, not late 1800s, as we might think.A few of his "western" movies from the 30s had telephones and cars, so they were definitely not 1800s.
Lots of these 1930s movies have the women wearing current fashions rather than what would have been normal for "western" movies. Almost all of these John Wayne movies from the 1930s have the gals wearing 1930s fashions. Also, some of the movies appear to be westerns, but they have cars and telephones, too. So, the locations for the movies may have been the west, but they certainly were not the west of the 1860s to the 1880s. More like the west of the 1920s and 30s.
“Sorry the dust must be blowing your way” he says as he took his hat off.
Me: 😆😆😆

Real values, real history, down to earth story. Nothing like todays' delusions.
But not the real name
Today, all the characters would be man hating women. They would have ridiculous super powers.
⁸kh
sorry, not real history. There was not as much gunplay as we see in movies. All conjured up by Hollywood.

Great movie for 1930s!
Excelentes películas del recuerdo.

*_La prehistoria de los western😆_*
stetsons were a lot taller back then, bit comical looking, prefer the modern day ones
There were big prop rooms full of felt hats . They would fit the hat with the actors. Yes some were huge! Tim Holts hats were super tall.
John Wayne films it is a good fy
Those hats are so funny is that what they call 10 gallon hats ?

Also known as "The Dawn Rider".

Now I can say I've seen a horse sneeze.
5 held up the bank , he shot two as they rode off , next camera frame 5 riding away ...makes sense
Old but pretty good

👍
yes was good (no background music
This is The Dawn Rider. Did it get retitled in order to not be confused with the recent remake, I wonder?
John Wayne (Marion Morrison) was well acquainted with horses even back then!
Kak like the editors .
AKA : *DAWN RIDER * : 1935
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Sad the Duke never got the chance to come out.
You did well though
Th' Dook came out alright, he was a Democrat until he became rich
Came out what does that mean ?

He was dead and its a 55 min movie called Shorts that came before the main movie
Don’t know why this movie shows the wrong title, this is “The Dawn Rider”.
Many movies from that time period were renamed at some time after their initial release.
A lot of gun play. I wonder if the west was really like this.
no. All conjured up by Hollywood.
8:10 Typical of the genre (and of Hollywood) an "1890's woman back from the future in a 1930's dress!
Si vous voulez un bon western, allez dans les quartiers nords de Marseille vous en verrez dans 3de temps en temps !!

lady wearing wrong dress for the time
