Why do people not like the vlogs? I started watching him for fishing but now I watch because I like his personality, doesn't matter what the content I still enjoy watching Jon B videos!!
Honestly I like when u mix it up I feel like it's ok to take a break from fishing every once in awhile and kinda take us thru your daily life. Never Stop
I'm sure you've got this a lot already but it is really cool to get an insight into yourself and the gang's daily lives. I think that it gives your channel a more grounded feel, shows you're a regular guy and that is what keeps me tuned in. You and the squad aren't constantly plugging sponsors and what not which makes these videos more accessible to every day fishermen! I teach in an urban setting in MN and look forward to sharing a few of your videos to try and get kids pumped about fishing! Thanks!
Dude I love your videos no matter what the content is. Fishing is great but just watching you hanging out with Peric and Rob is just as great. Keep doing what you're doing.
awesome bro. I want you to know that I went through a big transition in my life, got married recently and had a big career change. Your vids, and Rob's, and Peric's inspired me to get back into fishing, and re-sparked the passion I had for it when I was younger. Now, my wife makes me take her almost every day. It's our favorite thing to do. Thank you for your sincerity and how you carry yourself. Its good to see you guys "represent". You all are quickly becoming positive role models. Big thanks for your work/vids.
I watch every video you post and i love the style you have been doing where its not straight fishing. Yals shenanigans are hilarious and i like the music edits honestly. Keep filming. Never stop.
Ok - as a fairly recent subscriber, let me say that my husband and I look forward to your videos (as well as AP's and Lunkerstv) each day! We love to see how much the video quality has improved and enjoy watching all the hilarious antics when the three of you are together! Keep filming - NEVER stop!!
I love your vlogs, fishing or not. The quality of your videography, as well as everyone else in the youtube fishing squad is insanely good. Seeing people the same age as me doing what you're doing and being successful at it is inspiration and motivation to me. Keep fishing, never stop!
I honestly feel like as long as you are posting more often the content can be anything and I will still enjoy it. I do like the fishing vlogs more but I also really enjoy your vlogs in general.
Don't worry about the comments saying "this is a fishing channel" and such. You're more than a fisherman, you're a also a filmmaker and that's what you love and that's what makes this channel so great. Keep doing what you're doing Jon.
Do you get the vibe that we are trying to be like casey because we are trying to create daily content? I'm not questioning, I want to know from you perspective. I don't kick off my vids with a time-lapse, number my vlogs, jog daily, ride around on boosted board (with the exception of Hector's). Is it because we want to amp up our editing? I don't think its fair to say because we include songs or jump cuts in our vids we are trying to be "like" another UA-camr. In your mind what is a healthy balance of fishing and not fishing? All the New York videos consisted of fishing, along with the two with Hector. I've posted three videos without any fishing in past Month. Again, I'm not question you or getting defense but what to hear your thoughts.
After skimming through many of the comments, Jon, I don't think you have any worries about how you switch or mix things up in your videos. Almost everyone seems happy with whatever you decide. Remember to always keep yourself happy with how you do it, cause you're always great at what you love! BTW, that look that began @ 1:30 and evolved over the next several seconds was priceless! lol
As always, great content. I love your channel no matter what type of videos you post. Non- fishing vlogs, fishing vlogs, no matter what I'll still watch
Old school UA-camr here, opened my first channel in late 2005 when YT was young. Rant comedy. I had a blast. Closed it around 2012 and opened this one, WAY more low key and infrequent. Anyway, two things I learned about content, 1) You never need to apologize for shifts in content. Why? Because 2) You will ALWAYS have an audience that wants to see what you are putting out there. It might not be the same exact audience, but you'll always have one.
My Two Cents-- My all time favorite video style was the one where you told the story to the camera from somewhere in the woods as you cut to scenes of the actual trip. I don't remember the actual video title but the film style of that video was really unique and it felt like you were speaking to the audience. It would be pretty cool if you did more of those types of videos because I don't see many of them. Also, I don't think just everyone will understand a content creator/artists drive to produce their art. Most will not understand the feeling of wanting; needing to produce. I get it. Keep making videos Jon. Edit to your hearts content.
aye john never give up on ur videos,I love all of ur videos, keep it it and don't let anyone get in ur way of u from making videos,ur one of my top 5 favorite youtuber fishermen, just never give up man.I'm a hugeeee fan john
I think the siting is great and sequence of events is well done. As long as fishing is central will watch vlogs. And I like the idea of urban fishing. Keep it up!
Let me just say, I love the frequent posts. I have a busy schedule with work, and feel lucky to fish once a week. I fill that empty fishing gap in my life with watching you, and the usual suspects on UA-cam.
dude the only reason people are comparing to your vids to Casey's is because of the quality. it shows that you, like Casey, put a LOT of effort into both what you shoot and how to edit it. Being compared to Casey is a great thing as he is one of the best content creators on youtube right now! Keep up the great work dude! :)
Originally subscribed to your channel to learn more about bass fishing, and it has become one of my favorite channels to watch; no matter what the content is. Love the videography, edits, vlogs, and fishing. I've been interested in filming all of my adventures and you have given some great tips! Suggestion: I know you're a bass fisherman at heart but I think it'd be cool to see some more vids of you trying to fish for some other species that you're not totally familiar with (like you did with Uncut Angling).
Love your fishing vids And blogs keep them coming sometimes it makes it seem like if we were their with you some how lol enjoy every second of them. 👍🏾👈🏽👍🏾
I literally just left Peric's channel after fast forwarding through 10 minutes to get 30 seconds of valid content and now I'm here. Please keep it valid content rich!
Always loved fishing, but watching your videos particularly set off the obsession for fishing for myself and now I'm making fishing a priority hobby. I love your videos regardless, it's your own content with your editing persona and I think you do a great job. Thanks to Jon B. and the goons I am now eager to fish more frequently on the water!
Jon, You're a marketing genius. I already see what you're doing. When you changed your channel to Jon B. I knew that you were trying to Brand yourself and that fishing would still be part of what you do, but I could see that you were trying to start branching off into other parts of youtube. It's a genius idea and I wish you the best.
Try picking a certain lure and doing a video on your favorite type, tips, tricks, and how to fish with it. Maybe do one or two videos a week like that. I feel like it would help us to learn how to fish lures that some aren't as experienced with.
My friendly suggestion: Try make some video of you making homemade lure (homemade crankbaits softplastics etc.) and maybe with a lot of luck catch a bass with it XD I found that a lot of people like those videos :D
dude these videos are sick idk what anyone else is talking about. I feel Rob took this vlogging style of vids to the next level and it's made a lot of you guys better. Bottom line is, I really enjoy these.
Question: How do you personally go about finding new places to fish? Is it just a matter of googling for places around you or is it mostly through connections? +Jon B.
I'm enjoying this fresh kinda vlog ish content! one way maybe you could relate it to fishing is tell some stories from back-back in the day or like a time you learned a lesson the hard way while fishing. either way great job and keep it up! :)
+Jon.b I like the daily vlog combined with fishing videos. It shows what fishing youtubers go through on a daily basis... Screw the haters!!! I would like to see some more in depth segments on what the baits and rigs you use in videos are and why you use them there.... Keep it up!!!
I dig all the videos man, don't have cable haha so having daily uploads from all you "googans" is awesome. Fishing or not I enjoy the editing and drone shots, and the banter between you and the other guys. Don't let the trolls acting as if there subscribtion to your channel is some kind of incredible gift to you get through. You've got the screen presence and editing skills to kind of take your channel in whatever direction youd like, wouldn't surprize me at all to see you involved in a much larger type production within a couple years. Keep on keepin on man, you guys are actually inspiring a large number of the younger generations to get outside and go fishing and drop the playstation controllers and cell phones, and also surely inspiring a number of people to get into filming and editing, so take pride in that. Cheers
Jon keep up the good work. I couldn't imagine how busy you must be with everything going on. To me when your not fishing it's like watching the behind the scenes which makes for good video. Question: where is the link to the MTB commercial??? I can't find it on MTB page
keep on making videos like this one i will keep on watching then, my friend and I caught 2 muskies while fishing for bass in the same day so I crossed that of my bucket list
Jon - good to meet you the other day. Talking about sturgeon, in all the years I've fished for them, that had never happened to me either. That make was just that excited to see you. If your ever down for it, I can show you the spots.
Even if it's not fishing I'll sit down and watch it and enjoy it cause the content is amazing. Let the haters say what they want don't let them stop you
Hey Jon, absolutely love your editing style. Can you throw in some cool lure reviews? Maybe have a competition with the guys in which you use the same new lure and give it an overall review? Great vids, great character, great shots and music. Keep it up kid.
I like the vlogging. Your channel is evolving and after some point it has to. Your videos as well as your editing skills have improved substantially. I agree that it can be difficult to post fishing videos only. I get inspired watching other videos like yours. It makes me think about different techniques to incorporate into my ow videos. That said, I think I am going to buy a drone and start eating out more on my channel too. Lol
Jon, I love ur vlogs and I think a lot of them are better than some of the straight bass fishin, don't feel like you need to apologize you are a crazy good editor and I love every vid. Thanks Jordan!
+Jon B. You're welcome Jon!
I feel the same way
Jon is a natural. He sounds authentic and his passion for everything he does is contagious(see video of lunker buying 4000 dollar camera).
Agreed passionate genuine guy

I like your vlogs! I get to see your fishing and what ever else goes around in your life...
I honestly feel like as long as you are posting more often the content can be anything and I will still enjoy it. I do like the fishing vlogs more but I also really enjoy your vlogs in general.
Tbh I love these videos because it lets us know the life you live behind the fishing which is exciting! Keep doing you Jon B and I will support!
Don't worry about the comments saying "this is a fishing channel" and such. You're more than a fisherman, you're a also a filmmaker and that's what you love and that's what makes this channel so great. Keep doing what you're doing Jon.
believe it or not. I love these videos. half fishing and have vlogs. I love vlogs a lone as well
There was literally 0% fishing in this
+Nicholas M I know. but I'm saying that I love it when it's half and half
+T. Nah @98 agree. There needs to be a balance but him, rob, and peric basically only do vlogs now. They really are trying to hard to be like Casey.
Dude thank you. Thank you for not only understanding but thank you for also giving me some honest input. Keep fishing man!
Do you get the vibe that we are trying to be like casey because we are trying to create daily content? I'm not questioning, I want to know from you perspective. I like the vlogs thrown in the mix. Keep the great videos up and awesome edits
I love your videos just the way you are, and it's good to have a video that is different every once in a while!

Dude finally someone gets it, that there is BUISNESS in the fishing UA-cam industry and he can't fish every day
Try picking a certain lure and doing a video on your favorite type, tips, tricks, and how to fish with it. Maybe do one or two videos a week like that. I feel like it would help us to learn how to fish lures that some aren't as experienced with.
I like the daily vlogs Jon. Please don't stop making them
I like these vlog style videos keep them up especially with the boys keep it up dude good work!

+Jon B. Definitely dope stuff dude, and I mostly meant drones in terms of what I said about Rob
Question:
How do you personally go about finding new places to fish? Is it just a matter of googling for places around you or is it mostly through connections?
+Jon B.

What kind of fish species are on that bucket list
I like the vlogging. Your channel is evolving and after some point it has to. Your videos as well as your editing skills have improved substantially. I agree that it can be difficult to post fishing videos only. I get inspired watching other videos like yours. It makes me think about different techniques to incorporate into my ow videos. That said, I think I am going to buy a drone and start eating out more on my channel too. Lol
Jon, I love ur vlogs and I think a lot of them are better than some of the straight bass fishin, don't feel like you need to apologize you are a crazy good editor and I love every vid. You have an amazing talent. Anyone who doesn't like ur vids are probably paid by flair to say that. Also are you coming to traverse city this year? Would love a meetup at the gander MTN there.or even south east MI, dying to meet you.
