It's important to note that Gandalf was immediately aware of the deception because the Mouth had Frodo's shirt and cloak but had Sam's dagger and only spoke of one hobbit. If they had both, the Mouth would have said so, even if they had tortured one. The Mouth and Sauron knew they had no real leverage and presenting terms was only to strike fear into them, of which they were obviously unsuccessful.

I think he is very high in the ranks of Mordor. Basically lieutenant of Barad-Dûr and the assistant to Sauron. Extremely important character and vital to the plot that's only present in a deleted scene.

I know book Aragorn would not of cut off the Mouth of Sauron's head but it was cool to see in the movie. All of these videos sound like a book report I would have written if I was 12 or 13 years old. After presenting it to the rest of the class as an incoherent dumpster filled with word garbage, they were like, "what the fuck!" After presenting a written copy to the teacher, she would be all, "obviously, you have read the source material, but you need to condence, capsulice and present your material in a cogent arguement."
Their videos are absolute garbage. The narrators are just reading scripts written by other people (which is why most of the time they mispronounce the names), and even the ones who write the scripts often seem like they haven’t seen the movie/show or read the book, and they’re not at all familiar with the source material. They’re superficial garbage, and you could probably find deeper analyses on Wikipedia. If you want a good UA-cam video on this particular subject, check out the one on the channel The Red Book- that guy’s channel is one of the best on the whole platform. Another thing I’ve noticed (and commented on) about this channel is that every semi-clickbait video title says a variation on the same formula, where every subject is described as being forgotten, lost, underestimated, underappreciated, ultraviolent, dark, super powerful, disturbing, unbelievably evil, mysterious, and probably their most overused and misused term- Lovecraftian. I despise this channel, and it’s nice to see someone else standing up and saying the same thing. 👍🏻
