Thanks for watching! We put together a build list for this Track car. Enjoy! docs.google.com/document/d/1HlPGJHSOlS5w20PQnZ3vSOPhVom95awbWvjY6RhnGIk/edit?usp=sharing
There are synchro cones with graphite or paper glued friction material and some of the glue or compound material can be dissolved by traditional manual gear oil so they require ATF in “manual transmission”
@@TenzaMotorsports yup it's pretty common actually. Also worth noting is make sure when you degrease the trans not to get it into the trans vent mast. 😬 LoL
Good review, I was looking at this stuff for my e82 six box. Edit: my e36 shifted super smooth, longer throws than my old e46, & current e82. About the same as my 87 ETA which has a weighted shift knob( kinda helps )
Would this work on an automatic zf transmission? I have read that the Esso LT - 7114 blue is the recommended fluid but if this one is better, I might use it. What do you think?
Tenza Motorsports Yup😂 looking to build a track focused e46 330i/ci and want to know what you spent on the engine rebuild, supercharger, and basically everything for a price range to base a budget on.
Have you seen how bad Royal Purple motor oil flows in cold temperature tests ? Its awful. If you live in a constant warm area I would say your good to go. I would not use their products in a cold climate.
@@TenzaMotorsports I always worry about this with my dumptruck running 15 40. My Cummins can be run on 5w 40 but, my employer won't let me run that in the winter or summer.
Taggs, it’s commonplace where I live to get below -30°C (-22°F) and you are correct… I struggled to shift with RP Synchromax. I switched to Redline D6 years ago and it’s amazing in cold conditions. I also switched my brake/clutch fluid to BMW LV DOT4. This combination is widely used in Northern Europe. It is noteworthy to add that I don’t track or heatsoak my car.

This is also great fluid for people who are starting to have second or third gear grinds it really helps popular in the Honda community.
I couldn't be happier with it. I had no idea it would feel so different.
I’m about to put this in my 5 speed patriot.

I just filled my Getrag V160 up with Synchromax. Yes it is Type IV automatic trans fluid in terms of viscosity.
Just surprising that it’s able to be used I’m my manual. A lot of people are using it from what I’ve read.

I didn't show the cleaning but I had looked up a video where not to get water. but yes that would be bad.
Id say its also your shifter, its made to be a little notchy so you know it ckicks into gear. I need one of those long thic knobs.
The shifter was definitely Amplifying my worn out fluid. It’s far more enjoyable to drive now!
Royal purple best there is, good job.
Royal purple oil has been a great experience for me

I've been very impressed with synchromax. Glad to hear there are others who have been using it.

As long as it’s the proper weight. Should be fine
@@TenzaMotorsports do you know where i can find that info? Should it be in the manual?
You should do a video on how much you spent on the e46!
That is top secret. Very classified information. Lol are you wanting you know like what every part cost?

I can absolutely make a video on the cost of the race car. It won't post for a few months unfortunately.
It’s the shifter. Trust me, they’re super notchy, otherwise it’s great you changed the oil.
The shifter played a huge role for sure. But with new oil it feels like it should
Tenza Motorsports please do the e36 and let us know! I’m looking forward to it. Now I want to flush my 6 spd ZF and fill with Royal Purple lol
Video of synchromax on the E36 has been recorded. I'm editing it today and will be posted around August 19th.
You need a clip on microphone. The audio is very echoy.
I love shifting.
It’s a great feeling!

Thin oil at cold temperatures mean even thinner oil at operating temperature.
