I always loved the correlation between reality warpers in and insanity in Marvel, the more they can alter reality the less connected and anchored to it they are.
Note to myself: If someday I can warp reality, don't make an OP robot.
well, you could just program it not to destroy you
@@babaspector it did not work too well for Jim Jasper tho
karrotka223 he didnt program him not to destroy him
@@karrotka223 Well it did work well for Jim , jaspers created robot that will obey him and then he order him to destroy evrey superhero or powerful beign on earth, but that jaspers was destroyed by destruction of the unvierse, becase that was only thing that could kill him ( destruction of entire unvierse in an instant) and his robot survived and then later his robot attacked jaspers form another , alternative realtiy, so you know robot never attacked jaspers that created robot.
Just program it to not destroy you or any alternate universe version of you who's willing to work with you
But make sure it's just as op if not more so
Could you do a vid on the old gods? Odin and Zeus and all those guys in be marvel universe and how they stack up compared to other characters power-wise? Thumbs up so Rob can see this!!
+Tehlonelynoob Some people just love attention.
Tehlonelynoob i refuse to insult you until you fix this atrocity of a comment you attempted to write.
+Ookie How old are u? -15 -16 cuz the way u talk shows that bugs have more mind than urs.
Obvious troll is obvious
+afz3003 Odin is Galaxy level by feats, though 1 of the known Odin authors argues that he is Planet level, then he shouldn't have written him Galaxy level.
Zeus is nigh-featless, but is implied to be immortal and above Odin. Odin isn't immortal, he keeps his age with magic IIRC. Odin also uses magic to strengthen himself, while Zeus trashed Hulk with utter ease in hand to hand combat without any magic.
Really good exploration of the character and a solid argument. I never knew the Captain Britain storyline ran so deep!
Do you like tea
+Brandon Hodges Yes.
+Damien Burnsworth so do it
+Xaintrix In retrospects, the storyline was written in part by David Thorpe & Alan Davis, The Fury storyline was written by Alan Moore of 'Watchmen' and 'V for Vendetta.'
+eyeseer1 alan moore is god
I enjoyed the hell out of this video, but I can NEVER understand why someone would put a Reality Manipulator in their story.
Immediately, any conflict should and could be solved. Everything else is plot device.
***** Well, I understand that. Franklin is a stronger reality manipulator, but that's besides the point. There's a number of reality warping users, but if it isn't reality warping vs. reality warping, then I don't see the point of any conflict.
+It's Smash Time :D once you reach a point of perfected physicla prowess ie mold relaity to your whim all that is left to improve is mental/intellectual prowess ie the sense and wisdome to utilize the power you have swiftly and effciently:D a tool is only as good as the hand that weilds it and no ammount of firepower can stop a strategic attack:D
i remember a story in neil gaiman's sandman where Dream goes to a nightclub in hell and has a battle of concepts with a two mouthed demon named ulrock or so. each one taking turns in producing a concept that trumps the other, an example being ulrock produces the cncept of a fly that can evade danger with its small body and fast flight but dream produces the concept of the frog that has very strong patience and a tongur just slightly faster than the fly. it eventually lead to the extecion of the earth and then pure abtract cocnept slike hope.
this may be why in marvel at leats the more stoic and viligent cosmic entities are considered the powerful beings:D not cuz of sheer pysicla power but the wisdom that lets them utilize said power:D which is why they act as gods govenring the universe.
or soemthing
+It's Smash Time really fun to draw though
+It's Smash Time I can name some abilities that could put up a fight, professor X's would, time controller would too...they can go back in time and kill that mutant before even being born, Apoc, Thanos, maybe Galatus who can perceive reality would not be affected by these powers neither...
+It's Smash Time "but if it isn't reality warping vs. reality warping, then I don't see the point of any conflict"
It's like +Ma...👀 said, think of it like wealth. Even if you are a billionaire and can do anything, you realize that without the peons doing what they do, you have to not only do it yourself, you have to do it alone. The fact that there is no maid would ruin your day and if that maid has no family, they would be the maid you need them you be and so on and so on.
Take Dr. Doom from Marvel's recent "Secret Wars" event. Or even the Molecule Man. Owen Reece is so powerful, he can create/manipulate the universe, but he doesn't care to because it holds no interest for him. Doom wants to rule a world/universe in his own image, but if all who he ruled merely bowed to him, he'd be bored and if he couldn't share it with anybody, he would see no point. So Reece needed Doom to give him a reason and Doom needed the world to be diverse and hold the possibility of disobeying his godhood, and Doom needed Strange and a few others who knew to pose the possible credible threat.
I remember reading this as a kid and having a headache for about 72 hours(about). The headache was derived from trying to comprehend Jasper's universe, i think.
The inside is bigger than the outside? The British, amiright?
Lord Bills Comic books, my man. They are my other passion.
+Just Some Guy with a Mustache I see you around a lot man!
You're everywhere I go... I might as well subscribe since I keep up regardless. XD
You are everywhere u lik comics and anime as much as I do
Just Some Guy with a Mustache, stop following me
I bet Thanos wouldn't get away with hitting Jim Jaspers in the face like he did Ironman.
Patrick Ramsey 😂😂😂
Lol. Thanos would have no chance.
LMAO.
There are a few versions of Thanos that could....
I had no idea Mad Jim Jaspers was a mutant until now
I've always been fascinated with Franklin Richards and his potential as one of the strongest being in an Marvel universe. being able to create ting universes and ultimately, life out of nothing. In a sense, he is quite literally, God. While I would consider Jim Jaspers as an anti God. He cannot destroy when there is nothing there in the first place and warps reality. The great deceiver. That is how I contrast the two characters.
it seems like eventually the interaction between mjj and the fury would be a never ending infinitely multidimensional chess game between the two.
like, maybe mjj altered the reality enough so that the fury thought it teleported him and disposed of him. but really it was not really him and he went somewhere else?
or really a whole myriad of other options that can happen in such a situation?
either way, surprising story and concepts for this particular comic.
Been waiting for Mad Jim Jaspers.
You should do a video on just how powerful BlackBolt really is
+Mateo Rodriguez yeah i love blackbolt
White bolt would be better
@@lexluthor2988 why??????
Blackbolt went from a planet buster into a city buster at best
Depends on who is writing him at the time
Take a shot every time Rob says "Mad Jim Jaspers".
Hmm this makes me want to see Mad Jim Jaspers as part of ANAD Marvel due to him being such a ridiculous villain that died so quickly.
Thanks so much been looking for this guy. Please keep this series going!
6:00 sounds like Jim Jasper is "The Master" from DW. lol
the background music is always dope as hell
Exactly wish I knew what it was..
nice video rob keep up the good work
Great videos Rob. One of my favorite channels.
Hey rob, i really like these beyond omega level mutant video, plz keep it up!As those are my favorite things about marvel.
That was a awesome video Rob Been waiting for Jim Jaspers video
I love coming back to this video listening to the young Rob filled with honest enthusiasm
Rob keep it coming, this subject you came up with is great.
I love your videos!! you just got a new subscriber.
Loved it! Your awesome Rob!
The score to this video is underrated
Love dis channel
Marquis of death next please!!!!
^this! Especially the whole F4 X Dr. Doom story..
C I'm from the future, you have no idea what you asked for, because of you he did (he said comments made him do it) and I found out about this gem of a character.
The beats take this vid to another level
Awesome video rob. Im in love with your marvel content. Its your best suit.
love these discussions
Great vid!
Long overdue! Good video, Rob.
as usual bro, great video.
awesome, truly awesome!
Really cool. Thanks
Awwwww. This was shy Rob. Now he gets fired up and I love it.
wow. bad ass! I thoroughly enjoyed this :D
YES!
This is the vid I've been waiting for! The Jaspers rules supreme!!
I've always been curious about this character, 10/10 explanation and 10/10 video. keep doing the most powerful people in marvel!
Can't wait for more on these series.
DUDE! Where do u get this music!? It gives ur videos a noir coffee shop feel. Love it, all ur vids r awesome and very entertaining, but the music is what really brings it home for me.
Grate video Rob
Now I'd LOVE to see Jim Jaspers in the MCU oneday. Obv in Capt. Britain 2 or in a future New Avengers 2 or whatever.
They'd have to nerf the *_HELL_* outta him tho! Lmao
Not necessarily, they'd have to get Strange to teleport him out of the current universe. He's powerless in a void.
@@Yumemaru. doubt it would be possible. Fury was only able to do it because he’s an adaptable killing machine. The other don’t have the strength to resist his reality warping.
Good Video Rob! I haven't found one yet that wasn't good. Going to check out your other channel.
With that being said?
How did Earth-616's reality get restored?
Hey comics explained. What beat is that you use at the start of the video? I love it
Dude yah opening songs are dope
Lmao! Mad Jim Jaspers. I knew this vid was coming lmao
You should
Make a long documentary like video that explains the history of comics gos into the movies and what they would evolve into. I would certainly watch that. Anyone else???
+Tim Nelson Hell yeah. I would simply love a documentary of superheroes in general, with milestones such as Superman in 1938, Spider-Man introducing teens into comics, and Wonder Woman getting women into it (not so much as readers, but as characters). Then you could talk about what movies and tv have done to change comics, like how Superman was too expensive to animate as leaping long distances in a single bound, so they just made him able to fly for the sake of things in the tv show and it stuck in the comics. That would be awesome.
Your request was day in 2018 😊😊
DEEP! that was very enjoyable
I've never been so confused watching your videos Rob lol
woah this was fucking epic. loved it more than the events you covered so far
Yo I had been pretty harsh in a previous video about your man lemme tell you something but now Mam lemme tell you something mannnnn man I gotta tell you something mannn your videos are literally the best I’m not even deep into marvel and your videos r just fun to watch
Keep up the awesome work in general, Rob.
Question for you though. Where do you find the background music? I like quite a lot of the 'songs' you have in your videos.
do what u do bro keep it up
"it was able to adapt to the destruction of Earth-238" This is one of the funniest things I've read.
heard*
slick, nice music choice
Hey what's the song in the background once he starts actually explaining Jim Jaspers world? I really, really like the sound of it.
good stuff, i'd like to ask if u have planned to make a video about beings like Dormammu, shuma gorath, mephisto etc?
Mind blown. Awesome story.
Wow! I never knew of this character & I've been reading comics since the early 90's! Thanks for the video
Amazing
I enjoy the music choice of this video
I’m here from that X of Swords prediction! Let’s see if your bet is right Rob!
It’d be kinda dumb if Jim Jaspers pops into the X of Swords story. He’s too powerful and could completely Mary Sue the entire plot
I noticed that the music is a remix of Blue Hector from the Grim Fandango OST. Good choice
How about a video on Omega Red? Videos are great!
The best part of these videos.....the dope ass music.
The Fury looks pretty cool to be honest, it can literally adapt to any situation, even when it's entire existence is wiped out dimensionally, that's impossible, now I'm curious
The... fury.. PLOT POWEEEEEER-ed! It's like Jar-Jar Binks taking a full power blast to his head from the Death Star and still be alive.
Rob, What is the name of the opening track? Or do you have a link for it...That piano is sick
i personally think any character who can create something out of nothing is broken as hell and should never be made
+si2foo True, but so are people like Superman that are essentially made to be the epitome of overpowered. Pre-Crisis Superman could make up new powers on the fly and people like Wolverine and Deadpool can regenerate from essentially nothing (all of this depends on the writers, obviously). The point is to explore different things. I would hate for a comic book idea to not be explored simply because, in the grand scheme of the comic book universe, they are relatively overpowered. The story of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (The Hulk), an alien surviving the fall of their planet and seeking refuge in a society so different from their own (Martian Manhunter), the story of a man trying to do everything in his power to right the wrongs of his predecessors even if it means fighting people way out of his league (Green Arrow)... All of these are timeless themes that the world sorely needs to see. I think the story of someone with so much power that they could have and do whatever they want if they so wish it (Franklin Richards) and still not change anything about the universe they live in is a story that I'm glad to have read, even if it means crazy imbalance.
+Marc Orcutt Deadpool and Wolvie should not be allowed to regenerate from nothing.
they should have atleast the fundamental unit of life, cell being present
Wolverine cannot, really, regenerate from nothing. Remember that cells do not stop functioning when the brain as a whole does. They continue functioning until they can no longer do so, from lack of oxygen or buildup of waste or what have you. That being said, It makes some sense at least that a severed head + neck very close to each other could connect back in Wolvie's case. In Deadpool's case he was cursed with life by Thanos so he could never be with Lady Death, therefore that is the reason they give for him being to regenerate after being liquified or disintegrated.
+Marc Orcutt Naw somethings are just stupid and end up creating lackluster scenes, stories and entertainment. Fiction is all about suspension of disbelief and these mystic/cosmic cunts that Marvel and DC churn out with their telepathic, reality warping nonsense makes it nigh impossible for even a casual person to tolerate.
The existence of such characters no matter their alignment makes every plot pointless. Even with someone like Superman, am I supposed to really invest in anything someone like Green Arrow does when he could simply call for Superman or the Flash to derp in and wreck the badguys day?
The biggest issue is that these comics NEVER fucking end and thus all of these things are worn out, tired ideas that have become stale as shit.
+ProjectLDV
I agree, these comics and their characters have been around for too long, the stories are always over-the top and there is virtually no suspense any more. This is why I prefer Manga.
Been waiting to learn things on this character xD
NICE I had fun with lessoning to this one
That background music hahaha rofl lmao
Totally got distracted by that beat in the background
what is the track/song that you play when you first start the explanation?
Shot out if you use this vid for a drinking game. I lost count of the time Rob says the name Mad Jim Jaspers...
So after killing Jim Jaspers, what does The Fury do? I've never read the comic, but this has me kinda interested.
biggydx the fury assimilates jaspers
There is a lot more to this story that he doesnt mention, short story is the fury is weakened and defeated by captain britain of its original dimension after returning. However the whole story arc explains loads more! Great villains both, it would be amazing to see a comic books explained on the Braddock family as a whole, people need to know about Jamie braddock!
The Fury was immediately attacked by both Captain U.K and Britain. Because it sustained too much damage from transporting between dimensions and fighting Jaspers, it was further weakened by Britain and finished off by U,K before it had the chance to regenerate.
It later appears in Xmen Die by the Sword after Scarlet Witch's chaos wave. Jasper's came back to life and fought Merlyn and the Citadel. He would create Fury clones to orchestrate some sort of plan. However, for some reason, Jasper's body also housed the original Fury and he becomes conflicted which allowed the heroes to kill both of them (bad writing imo).
+Aile Apple... Hey, thank you for taking the time to explain the follow-up :) That was really cool of you, and much appreciated!!
Chill Hop mix in the background.
You know the name?
Can I please have a link to the sound track you played in the begining
love these videos, truly i do
but the music is too distracting, its too dam good
This music is perfect for this video.
So MJJ can warp reality, Franklin can create new reality and warp it.
But can you explain power of beonders and how it works?
Hey Rob. If you could warp reality, what’s the first thing you would do?
Whats the music track in the background called??
A reading list for this would be great.
Wow, i just got a huge slap of Nostalgia from "The Fury" being mentioned :D
Most OP character i ever came across in a comic that wasn't a god
brain overload...brain overload...great vid
mate, what is the music in the background?
memory lane. Thanks for uploading.
That uyama in the beginning
Great to see the sublime work of Alan's Moore and Davis getting a piece. Really nice to see the original black and white artwork getting a show. One of my regrets is not buying this back in the 80s when I was first buying comics. Thank you for also mentioning Marvelman/Miracleman. If you haven't picked up the reprints, you should, Rob, as it's excellent. Looking forward to seeing Neil Gaimans continuation of the story finally getting published after all these years of legal battles - a story worth telling in your own inimitable style...
Where does this guy get his tracks...dawm bro hella sick
Yay Rob!!!
I would love to see this translated via MCU! I feel this would do *damage* in the Box Office.
You have great instrumental to rap too.
Can someone, please tell me the song that is at 5:50 it sounds really good.
Wow, made respect for playing music by Uyama Hiroto. Wasn't expecting that here! He's underrated.
