- AMA District 14 Hare Scramble: This was some of the coolest terrain I've ever ridden! It was only my second Hare Scramble that I've raced but man I'm.......ADDICTED! Huge shout out to Norm and Michelle for hosting this event and also to the guys that laid out this course that was an A++

Well it’s safe to say I’m addicted after only my second ever Hare Scramble! I did a little better than my first one and considering I came down with a bad stomach bug the night before the race just finishing is a win!
Hey man where can I find info on these races I have wanted to do one for a little while but can’t find any info on them.
@@arabvince247 District14 website. Has everything you need. You have to buy a District14 Card and a AMA card and your all set besides the race fees at the race itself.

No, this is my first year racing.
what class did you run? My first as a spectator. seance the 80's
I was running c-class
sucks theres not really room to pass....looks fun as hell though

How long was the race? I’m looking to do it this year
All hare scrambles are 2hrs plus one lap, that usually means around 2.5 hrs roughly.
I rode the same line as you, came in 26th place for the day.
Good job, I came in 21st. I thought the course was fantastic! We had a huge class again.

@@Captain250FX hell yea I debating on running c class with my dad in 35 + or jumping up to b class or just wait till they bump me up.. my dad gave me his old 2018 150 xcw and I just adapted to it and feel fast on it riding.
@@kevinjrhoot1461 that’s what I ran last year, this year I’ll be in 40B. Three of us are moving up but their still should be a a bunch of competition in C.

Looks like a really fun course - good mix of fast/flowy and tight/technical. You were rolling good! I'm impressed with the 250's ability to chug through some of the slower stuff.

Great job Luis! looks like a lot of fun. I haven't raced in over 8 years. They don't have hair scrambles out here there called grand prix not as many miles per loop but same concept. I miss all the green back there!

Was scrolling through your channel, noticed we ride a lot of the same trails here in MI. Do you have a preferred tire setup for those trails?
I would like to see more racing action; enjoy watching you progress. I do have a question; it appears many of the guys you ride with ride two strokes; so curious what you like about the four stroke over the two stroke ? Also, do you stall the four stroke more than your two stroke riding buddies ? It does appear to have very good low grunt. Thanks in advance for the response and the great channel.
Thanks Michael! I actually will have a race on June 12th and the 19th, so more race footage coming! As far as 4t 2t I just fell in love with these FX’s. This is my second FX. I go everywhere my friends do on their bikes but I do stall more but I’m fairly good with the clutch.

@@Captain250FX I 28th. On lap 3 I had a guy clip my front tire and when my bike came down it slammed the top of my boot. It felt like my foot was swelling inside my boot so I decided to call it a race. But I loved that coarse! Glad to have you aboard the hare scramble series.

Cool video! I hear a lot of people talk about the gopro flattening the terrain, but have you seen the gopro fender mounts? Malcom Stewart has videos from SX like that and it's still smooth, but shows the terrain a lot better. Just wondering if you've considered it? Keep pushing yourself man, you're doing great!

What camera mount you using? I’ve tried two types of chest, dango (hits neck brace) and too of helmet.
I normally use a Dango but on my new helmet I’m trying a EXTREME SPORTS WANNABES MOUNT and really loving it!
@@Captain250FX awesome thanks seen those wasn’t sure on wanting Velcro as I’ve hear it will take paint off once you remove it.
@@smauller623 these are not Velcro, these have a 3m tape that won’t come off. Very impressed so far!

I got the same bike. What map are you running in this? Great riding, looks super fun!
My favorite map that I run pretty much all the time is the Keefer Free Feeling map. It takes away most of the engine breaking so you can flow a little better in the tight stuff! Thanks for watching!
@@Captain250FX Do you have a link to where you got your your clutch and front break lever? I had some bad luck and half my clutch lever snapped off.
Are they starting multiple classes on the same row? What class are you racing?
That’s all one class. I’m in 35+C. They don’t have a 40+ here for some reason? I’m 44

I had Covid. I was so weak. Came in 8th in-class. How'd you do?
Dang I did also. Finished mid-pack, felt like shit the night before super weak during race. Tested positive this morning for Covid. Just finishing is a win for us then right?! 🤙🏽
Feel better. I'm still suffering after 10 days. See you at the next one.
From start to Finnish how long did it take
I was on the course for 2hrs and 50 minutes roughly.

Awesome work mate. Would make it a bit easier on yourself if you were riding a 2banga. 300 easiest as less gear changes, doesn't stall as easy and way lighter feel when riding that sort of terrain. Either way jealous and looked like a great time out there having fun on your dirtbike. Avagud1

. 4Ts are made for the GNCC types of races. Good low end torque and a lot of fun in the flowing trails.. now if it were hard enduro then thats a different story

Be more aggressive especially on the start . Could have passed a dozen folks before hitting the bottleneck that always happens.
I totally agree with you, next time! I barely made it threw the whole race I was so sick and ended up testing positive for Covid the next morning. I will definitely put more effort in the next race thanks for the advice. 🤙🏽
