I presume this is the Coliseum in Rome. So many Christians laid down their lives there. It is fitting that the sound of the Gospel continues centuries later on the same site.
Not that many were martyred in the Coliseum. It was mostly for blood sports of all kinds. Circus Maximus was where most of the Christians were martyred. Its a short distance from the Coliseum. Nero's palace had a connection to Circus Maximus where he could securely walk out to his private trackside suite to watch the chariot races. That's likely why the Circus Max was the martyr site. Beautiful arrangement and presentation. The irony is not lost on me, either...singing Martin Luther's faith hymn in that of all places. Our God IS the only fortress which will stand. :-)

Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
3.And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us;
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
4.That word above all earthly pow’rs, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth;
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.
