Beautiful work. As a wood turner myself, I have found that putting a small Dow in the round ball, into the lid, helps keeping the ball from popping off. It may seem like too much wrk or not necessary but if it happens to get dropped, or the glue gets old and dried out, then a Dow WILL give you a little more peace of mind. That’s just my POV/opinion.
