@@MIDORI55 DRI=Distorted Real Impact.....try look some vid in youtube....in dmc4,some gamers try to hit boss with possible minimum time...you make real impact using Gilgamesh(dmc4),but at the perfect moment,you use DT...it gives a huge dmgs to boss...idk dmc5 can do that or not with balrog,i didnt play the game yet...
Well, at the end of the game, he is defenetly in the same league, but I don't believe that he is stronger than them. Because by the time he arrived, they was already tired fighting each other, wounded and weak. So Nero just pulled his Arkham impression on them both, while abtaining his fresh new power. Yet, I believe he still has room to grow, just like Dante had his, before all the crazy shit happend Dante obtained tons of Devil Triggers, while Nero just had his first true devil trigger. Edit: I say, Nero needs his own magical/demon sword, because both Vergil and Dante always had some mechanisms and rules for obtaining their new powers, while Nero just had his moment of motivation and went from 0 to 100 with no mechanism what so ever. Dante had his Rebellion and Sparda as his mechanisms of obtaining new powers through out the series, even Vergil had this demonic blood fruit and accepting his human side, while Nero had nothing, and it bothers me. TBH Dante didnt even needed Sparda to activate his SDT final form, they could have easily make Urizen destroy Red Queen during Nero's second battle with him, and have Nero weild Sparda, which would have chose Nero as its new master and evolve once again into Nero's own magic sword, thus granting him great power, but oh well. They just made Rebellion seem not so important if you compare it to other swords in the series, I mean fucking Yamato opens and closes demon world portals, slices through demensions, opens portals, has power to seperate enteties in two, yet Rebellion just cuts and acts as power up, Dante needed to absorb Sparda into his body to obtain giant power, yet obsorbing just rebellion as a key to unlocking Dante's true potential would've been enough.
Nero might be just as skilled as them but in terms of power he’s still no where near. Nero is only a quarter demon while Vergil and Dante are half and get full demon forms. If you look closely at Nero’s devil trigger it doesn’t look as demonic as Dante’s or Vergil’s. That’s because of his human heritage. Which holds him back from reaching the heights of power that Dante and Vergil have.

Its confirmed that Dante surpassed Sparda in power. Yet Dante has much more battle experience under his belt, unlike Nero, which makes him more skillful, yet I believe Nero has much more Demon power potential, than either of Twins, because he didnt eat any fruit, or absorb any kind of magical sword to gain his giant power, it was always there just waiting to be activated.

I might be the only one but this *FInal Boss Fight* with Dante and Nero was the biggest letdown of this game for me and not because it's happening but just the fight in general. Vergil doesn't really give us anything new for real and his aggression in the fights is weak as hell. Even on harder difficulties it's just damage....he's moving around too calm compared to how we move against him and a lot of pause moments in the fight. It should feel like we damn near fighting against ourselves in this type of fight and we ain't really get that
I thing dmc5 Vergil fight is masterpiece combining 3 and DMC. his aggression is week but you can hit him only after he attacks, so this fight is not one side. and Timing is important when Virgil fight. So his tempo of attacks give us pleasant tension. Some people hate it, but Virgil was always like this. like you said, he don't give us new. and you said harder difficulties it's just damage, but that's not ture. almost every moves changes faster and more threatening. I wonder if you tried sos&dmd.

In regards to the fight yea everything is sped up but we at the point in these games now where they can truly make Vergil seem like he's ridiculous to go against especially if we up the difficulty when we play him...and of course you eventually learn his patterns but I feel like he just lacked that certain bit of aggression I feel like he should be playing even in the poised manner that Vergil's character likes to be in
That's just Vergil's style, though. He's got the whole Iaijutsu gimmick with Yamato which means a lot of standing calmly and not moving, only lots of drawing and re-sheathing. Aside from fitting the gimmick with his glorious nippon thousand folds steel blade, it's also meant to contrast him with Dante.
"It should feel like we damn near fighting against ourselves in this type of fight" It should definitely not feel like that because the dramatic differences between Dante and Vergil in their personalities and styles have always been an emphasis in the series. Dante is flaming hot, Vergil is ice cold. It's even reflected in their color scheme.
Something is up, I don't think there are invincibility frames when you wiff a perfect block or parry when Vergil does a split move on you. I might be wrong, I hope I am. It would be a shame if you were cheating

I don't know what DRI is, but I used keyboard with DMC4 keymapping. All you need for evading attack with balrog is just meesing left and right.
