Never heard of pizza slime before but it seems like they are just as try-hard and cringy as the influencers they critique. But yeah, they knew exactly what they were doing with these signs and they knew it would go viral. Also, im pretty sure pizzaslime paid influencers , and probably even tea channels like this one to talk about them (“and make sure you mention the brand as much as possible but without being too obvious”)as if everybody knew them, just so people would go “never heard of pizzaslime in my life”, look them up and give them a boost on the algorithm. This strategy is quite well know in Brazilian internet actually (there are even companies that do this specific type of sneaky digital marketing) and although I have never seen it being used in American internet yet (but im sure it has been) I spotted the similarities right away. Its fascinating the lengths that people will go to in order to fake an “organic growth” on social media.

I don't undersyand the outrage per se. Like influencers get treated differently based on the amount of their following, that isn't new. A better reason to walk out would be for crappy treatment, not over a simple sign.

Also, I don't really trust a brand that claims to be parodying influencer culture, which is rooted in hyper-consumption, by making and selling 'joke' T-shirts for way too much money. Like. C'mon. Sometimes I worry that "herd mentality" happens very quickly and more often now. Its like a million people saw the sign and probably did a nose laugh or cringed but moved on. Then an influencer posts about it, makes it seem like she's so bothered by the sign, even though both signs lead to the SAME place. But because she was bothered, the people that watch/follow her needed to be bothered as well even if they weren't affected by it, weren't at the party, or never knew who pizza slime or revolve are.
That girl going to the party in the first video makes it seem like she should know it was a joke sign and that there weren’t segregated parties. But then why is she so upset in her second video.
i find it hilarious there’s a serious event named ‘stagecoach’ in the US, bc over here in the UK, stagecoach is not a flex and gives instant ptsd if you’ve ever done a long hall bus journey on one 😂
I’ve never heard of Pizza Slime lmao, but honestly it seems like just a harmless joke. Plus i’m sorry, but there are bigger fish to fry than someone putting you in a different line if you’re under 1 million followers lol. As a regular human being, I literally wouldn’t care. Idk if i’m just weird or what but I wouldn’t care if someone tried to be rude to me about having under 1 million followers. It’s so unserious because social media means nothing. Now… if someone insults me for my characteristics irl than I’ll be offended, but for followers on a social media app I would just laugh. Cause it says more about them than it does you. But yeah, it seems like a joke.
10/10 for the pizzaslime marketing team. Everyone and their mum is talking about them and I think the joke was quite funny. I love watching influencers get trolled 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
If the end result is the same place why people are so angry at the joke? It's not as if they gave a different treatment to people according to followers. Plus, you can read actual satire in the joke as in celebrities and influencers are actually treated differently according to their follower network in real life (i.e. influencer parties inviting big influencers only or only giving them the vip treatment etc) Just curious
Maybe if they had a sign at the end of the line that said 'just kidding everyone is welcome' or something like that, it could have softened the blow.. but yeah, that's icky.
It would have been more interesting had they taped influencers arriving through that threshold and created some kind of roast reel for those who took it too seriously
When I first started watching this video, I saw a comment that popped up and it said “I didnt know what pizza slime is 🤷🏼♀️” so I thought this video was going to be about a Nickelodeon-esque slime party with pizza and influencers were mad their outfits were ruined. Needless to say there are a plethora of people who didn’t know who pizza slime was before this video (me)
Pizzaslime is only well known in LA and in the EDM scene. It’s totally satire but please don’t think for a second it also isn’t an intentional marketing tool. They KNEW people would take it the wrong way and everyone saying yOu sHoUlD kNoW pIzZaSLiMe” still aren’t getting it 😭
Never heard of either of the brands. But if the lines lead to the exact same party with no extra "perks" like walking into a VIP section or getting a band for free drinks or anything extra. It was just 2 different lines. Then it's clearly nothing to get worked up over and is supposed to be funny. Whether it is a "serious" brand or not. Are they not aloud to have a sense if humor because they are "luxury"? The one girl who left over reacted.
As someone who has NEVER heard of pizza slime I wouldn’t know. People need to stop saying “everyone knows….”

But because she was bothered, the people that watch/follow her needed to be bothered as well even if they weren't affected by it, weren't at the party, or never knew who pizza slime or revolve are.
Rheg is such a good influencer. Should have included the video of her showing proof that she actually left, just adding to the fakeness.
Happy to say that Tana has never showed up on my FYP. I’ve only heard of her through these videos & she just doesn’t seem like my type of person 😭 ijs
Lol that’s hilarious lol influencers stay at Coachella leave stagecoach alone 😂😂😂😂
I’m tired of hearing about “festivals” they’re not cool anymore
lmao i just opened tiktok while listening to the video and got this exact tiktok
That girl going to the party in the first video makes it seem like she should know it was a joke sign and that there weren’t segregated parties. But then why is she so upset in her second video.
"I am leaving the party fue to this sign" girl okay wow big issues
i find it hilarious there’s a serious event named ‘stagecoach’ in the US, bc over here in the UK, stagecoach is not a flex and gives instant ptsd if you’ve ever done a long hall bus journey on one 😂
"that perplexes so many new thoughts"
What
Tana, why do your thoughts have the sentient ability to be perplexed
I’m not lying when I say that, at least from the pictures shared, stagecoach looked like a lot fun this year. Coachella is getting a little stale..
10/10 for the pizzaslime marketing team. Everyone and their mum is talking about them and I think the joke was quite funny. I love watching influencers get trolled 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Its been awhile since you posted this, still never heard of pizza slime all this time later lol 😂
Never heard of pizza slime either. Def thought it had to do with slime lmao
If the end result is the same place why people are so angry at the joke? It's not as if they gave a different treatment to people according to followers. Plus, you can read actual satire in the joke as in celebrities and influencers are actually treated differently according to their follower network in real life (i.e. influencer parties inviting big influencers only or only giving them the vip treatment etc)
Just curious
Eeesh.. the explanation of pizzaslime by the influencers does not do them any favors
The fact that both ways led to the same party I think it would’ve been obvious that it’s a joke.
