So, this video is a prime example of why I watch your videos. They are so informative and provide detailed but not boring information. while at the same time cracks me up. It helps me take a break from my stressful day.
You helped me decide on the Spyder back when I was training with you... couldn't have been happier with my decision. 500 hours gives you some cred my friend!

Hey Tucker, Been watching your Videos for years and LOVE them all. I Didnt know that Tim & Ben Hagerty Know you and your family for years! What a small world!
This is my all around wing, I've recently did collapse testing up to trims out to red line since I fly there 90% of the time and it recovers extremely well. It is also a SAT machine
I've got around 40 hrs on my Spyder 3, I absolutely love this wing. I started on a power atlas, I flew both wings back to back last week. I will probably never fly the PA again. This wing feels stable but allows for wingovers and easy inflation which makes me want to fly more. I highly recommend for anyone just getting out of school or looking for their 1st B wing after learning on an A. Thanks for the review Tucker!
You are not going to like this but I went from the super slow, mojo 5 26m to a speedster 3 24m on a trike and I love this wing. I about wished I'd trained on this wing. In the full slowest setting it almost flys as slow as the mojo with fantastic lift. Trimmed all out it hauls ass and is super fun with the 2D steering tied in. I'm amazed at how stable this wing is. I fly it hands-free 85 percent of the time in super light wind conditions trimmed all out. Even in turbulent winds, I'll have fingers on tip steering lines and it cuts through rough air like butter. I have not used the speed bar yet but looking forward to it. Using an old rebuilt 2017 185 first version Vitterosi with a 185 125cm prop. 260 hours on the mojo. Was told to go to the Roadster 3 but glad I just jumped to the Speedster 3 now. Just read the instructions and of course, do everything from higher altitudes at first till you become comfortable with it. Started at the young age of 64 and 68 now. I'm not the wild and crazy wing-over type of guy. I just wanted better performance and wow this is the wing.
Two weeks ago I touched a wing (Mojo) for the first time and by the end of training (Aviator PPG!) I was flying under my own Spyder 3. I’m very happy with this wing!
So I am in my backyard yesterday, not far from the Delaware river, and I look up and see an orange Risky Biscuit up above, just slowly chugging along. It looks so peaceful.
Been flying 5 years and I'm considering this wing. I'll be 59 years old in a few weeks and I'm looking for something that requires less effort to launch. This may be the one I go with.
Switching from my porous en-A wing to a new Spyder 3 was like flying for the first time again. I spent 2 years saying "I'll just work on my technique", but realistically there's only so much you can do. Thanks for the Spyder 3, Tucker!
Do you know why the manual for the Spyder suggests launching with the trimmers at the white line? The manual then suggests pulling the trimmers in for the climb out and of course hands up.
These reviews are great! You should consider covering more of the Ozone line up! This format is super informative and helpful imo for people making decisions on gliders!
Great review Tucker, direct and to the point. Always appreciate the way you present info and the sport. A pleasure to watch and I keep hoping to get up in the sky someday. A real dream of mine.
Great review Tucker.... I've been flying the Spyder 3 since the beginning (2.5 years ago) and I've enjoyed it. It's a solid wing all around. It's not as dynamic (26m) as I went bigger then I needed since it was my first wing. I bumped up to the Sirocco 3 last year (bought from you) which added more benefits of course. I still pull out the Spyder once and awhile. It's a great wing to just cruise around on.
So I've been flying the roadster 3 for about 2 years now and looking at the speedster, I guess some of us gravitate to the light weight fabric and some of us don't! lol. Anyway, did your Sirocco feel like it was worth the upgrade?
@@michaelpendleton2158 I think you get spoiled with the light weight ;) I dropped from a 26 Spyder to a 24 Sirocco and the Sirocco is so much more fun! If they were the same size the Sirocco would still be an upgrade, but going down slightly made it much more responsive and truly my favorite overall wing!
Love the spyder. Thanks for talking me into the 26m. It’s not crazy dynamic at my weight but takeoffs are crazy easy which is what I was going for my first wing. Plus the speed seems impressive for a B wing.
Great Wing with super easy inflation. Even in nil wind, take offs are a breeze. Been flying my 26m since the first flight with you guys. Perfect transition from training!
I love my spider. I have only flown a buzz five at the beginning and then I bought a spider. I have 300 hours on this wing and I love it. Ihave no desire to replace it.
Dear tucker your videos make me angry at time and life as to getting old . This would have been something to set me free from gravity but now I am an old man . However I fly in my mind watching your you tube episodes and I thank you for that . Be safe kiddo .
Scrolling down my YT feed and thought you were posing in front of a slip n slide at first. I was like “Why he going through a slip n slide with all his clothes on..?” 😂
Tucker, Please do a Sirocco review! I took my first flight on a Spyder 1. Launch and landing were perfect first time and it’s very intuitive, it’s a great wing but after 6 hours of flight time I’m already wanting something MORE!
If only tip steering is needed for full speedbar how would that work with the 2d set up that you were talking about if they are connected. Is that why you left yours as is?
Hey Tucker, iam looking to switch some gear, actually iam flying a apace F3 in 22 with 135kg in total, ordered a 19er freeride and want a second more forgiving wing for bad weather,... you said you are flying the Spyder overloaded. I do it with the f3 as well, what is you total weight with the 20 Spyder 3? iam thinking of getting a 20 or 22 but not sure what to take. Thanks a lot and great video....
This was a very well done review, and will be really helpful for new pilots looking for a good wing. Aside from the lightweight material, the Spyder 3 reminds me a lot of the Dudek Universal. Both look like VERY versatile wings, with a large performance range. I learned on a Universal and flew it for almost 3 years. Trimmed out, it's faster than almost everything else, until they start using speedbar! I flew a Mojo once, and while it's probably a great training wing, it's a turd once a student gets out of training. The Spyder 3 will be a much better choice for the beginner pilot just out of training.
That was an attention getter but yes, seriously this was informative and good. Glad to see your still going at it Tucker. Nice video too. Keep em going, always refreshing 😎👍😁🙏
Great Video Tucker! As always! I noticed you had mentioned something about weight. How much does one have to weigh or what weight range must you be to fly the Ozone Spider 3? Thanks Tucker!
Nice review! I loved the beginning lol! Could you please do a Sirocco 3 review? I have the 20m and love it - I just like to hear your thoughts on it :)
Is it odd for a school to not allow any students to purchase anything but an A-wing from them? When I went to school they told our class As only, no Bs, yet it seems like most pilots I talk to start on a Roadster-equivalent low B in the PPG world after training.
Great video Tucker. This answers alot of questions about the spider. When I get in the air I hope I can fly this for my first and only wing instead of the mojo but whatever it takes really hahaha 🕊️🌄
I will NEVER go past a Ozone Mojo. You can call me slow and boring. I'll be the slow/boring pilot without a broken spine if the wind picks up. Thank you.
So, this video is a prime example of why I watch your videos. They are so informative and provide detailed but not boring information. while at the same time cracks me up. It helps me take a break from my stressful day.

All it needs is a small tug and it's up and ready to go. Simply amazing.
LoL
Right. Just a small tug for a happy ending. 🤣
Just now seeing this after 2yrs. Intro was great.
This was fun. The new “Risqué” Biscuits Co. I love it.
I love the ol Snake in the beginning!! Only true Tucker fans will recognize that wing!
Really great review on the wing covering all the bases!
Right? So many good videos with that wing!

Oh my gosh that intro was absolutely amazing! I literally laughed out loud! Also thanks for the shout out in the middle of a video! Appreciate it
$4,000 for a wing? Wing prices are getting out of control and so are motor/frame units. Whats a Parajet these days, closing in on $8,000.

Got me with the clickbait thumb. Nice work.
I switched recently from Roadster3 to speedster3. Want a different regarding performance and speed.
just bought this and a scout carbon! :)
Do I need a doctor's prescription before my first purchase and getting it up?
No but check with your doctor (and check your fuel) if your flight lasts more than four hours.

They are his business. You can buy wings directly from his website.
Yes. He's sponsored by Ozone. Personally, I love my MacPara Charger.
So why are you running initially in your video with your arms down pulling breaks? It will never lift. Loss of credibility. Like a used car salesman.
