I always used Firefox. It's annoying to know that everything is now made from and for Chrome. Actually, it's scary. It's healthy to have another good browser there together with Chrome and that's one of the reason why I keep using Firefox. It can't die. Be Brave, Firefox! 😊

"we can't talk about brave without talking about crypto"
Yes the hell we can. I get annoyed whenever I try to talk about Brave to anyone and they scoff because crypto. I literally never even think about the BAT system except when somebody brings it up as a complaint about Brave. I know for a fact it comes disabled by default. You have to push a button to enable it. Just don't push that button and use it like a regular browser

i agree, but i never really got into the crypto stuff with brave, i mean i sort of checked it out when it was first being implemented, but i saw the same issues that the youtuber above stated, but i kept using the browser because it worked great with everything else i needed on all my cell phones and PC's that i used.
i also don't go to many other websites outside of youtube and a few others, but i guess i could see the broken sheilds being an issue, but i never run into it because i rarely ever leave the sites i regularly use.
however i hate reddit when i'm trying to view through brave on my phone, they always try to force me to use chrome or download their app and i simply always refuse to use anything else, i think it's stupid to use an app for any webpage, i know they have been promoting this kind of thing for nearly 2 decades now with various other websites such as facebook twitter and youtube, but i don't care for the feature, it just leads to space used that doesn't need to be used on my phone, obviously i'm using brave as an app, but i can limit the apps i use just by using brave through bookmarks and tabs.
there is no need to use my memory storage on my phone for webpages, it's just a stupid feature that i hate being forced into, but for some reason when i go to reddit using my PC brave browser i can go there without issue, so something on their site is tied to the mobile version of the app that is fucking this up.

Brave Talk is one of the main reasons why I probably won't be able to quit the Brave Browser. It's a game changer to me.
I don't like to have phone calls and video calls are even more awkward, so I never even bothered to use Skype or Zoom. I'm not a total recluse though and when my friend gets drunk and calls me on a friday evening, all I need to do is to open a new tab, generate and send a link, which takes him straight to my Brave Talk session on whatever browser he prefers and we're good to go.
I can easily switch between voice or video call, I can stream a song from my music player or play a UA-cam video on his display and if he behaves well, I can grant him permission to control it.
No extra apps or plugins required, no signing up to anywhere. No wondering about which app or service can do all of this or whether it's drunk people-friendly or not.

I've had some crypto training, and liked everything else you can get ripped off. If you get a wallet off the browser, it could be already made, and you fill in your credentials. So, nobody but you and the wallet creator can get access to your Doubloons. If you ever decide to do crypto, to use, or to invest, make your own wallet, it's easy. See, because say you get real lucky, get a lot of doubloons, a cursory inspection by the bad guy, might come with this one is ripe thought, and all coins are removed. What do you do when that happens? Call the police? Well you can report the theft to the fed computer cops, but they so busy investigating activity in the Dark Web and elsewhere, they will have little time for a purse snatching. In fact. Depending on how much you lost, you might come under scrutiny yourself, with the, were did you get all those tokens from, etc. So, you could go from victim to suspect.
I see wallet thefts from time to time, they mostly sound like someone did not set their wallet up right, and kind of left the key in the lock, a lot of people leaving access codes someplace that when they are found, someone who knows, can open the wallets and transfer the coins to another account. You really need to be careful in the crypto world. It's like your car. you go home eve night, leave the key in the ignition, because that kind of stuff never happens in your area, one day a crook looking to do a little burgling, hits the jackpot, your car, with the keys in the ignition. It don't know easier than that.
      You got to be careful.

Even the other options like Arkenfox have a lot of loop holes to jump through before getting it working - not necessarily plug and play like Brave. LibreWolf is also not up-to-date with Firefox which creates security issue. Not only that but hardening via Arkenfox/yourself, or using additional setups with LibreWolf destroy a lot of the purpose of hardening by making you more finger-printable. You'd rather just use Mullvad at that point with no setting changes, and then have everything else be on Brave, a browser that's a lot more modern and fast than Firefox or hardened Firefox equivalents.

honestly that's kind of more a stupid point in this video, lol, like it's something that can easily be turned off within the brave settings, it just takes a few clicks and your done.
although it would be better if it was by default turned off when the user downloads the app, just like the background video playback feature should be turned on automatically.
now i have been using brave for the last 5 or so years and i have enjoyed it so far, recently though i have been using firefox and though it has many of the same features, you also have to turn on all of these functions so it's no diffrent of a process, i mean firefox doesn't even come with the adblocking and tracker blocking when you first download it, it's something you have to manually set up through the addons menu, and some don't work that well, firefox also runs more laggy than brave does, it's also much more resource heavy than brave is.
but because the other issues that brave has, firefox is the next best option to choose from because it's not tied to chrome like brave is.
so right now the best option is firefox if you want to continue with all the features you already enjoy with brave that will end at some point when brave gets pushed out from working on some sites.

But there is an issue with brave that I'm facing right now.
I just started using brave. And whenever i close the browser all the google accounts that I've logged in, automatically get logged out.
And now this annoying part of logging in again is stopping me to use this browser on daily basis.
If you have any suggestion or solution to this problem, then please reply.

I have heard that when you customize a browser, you are more easily tracked.
I do not know which customizations make you unique (or somewhat unique). I believe that plug-ins should be avoided. But what about disabling the settings we saw in this video? Will web sites see your browser as being non vanilla, and be able to better track you?
Tor's browser even warns you about going full screen with the browser, because you would be giving away your screen's resolution.
I do not understand why a browser, designed to be private, would send any site your browsers window size?
As to Firefox, I have a virtual machine, where Firefox puts recently visited sites on the home page. Firefox offers an option to delete what you do not want there. But it seems to go through your history, and ends up replacing what you deleted with the same thing.
This next item, however, is more troubling:
I restored my VM to a snapshot, from before I installed Firefox. Then, after I did a fresh install of Firefox, the same home page recently used links showed up. So Firefox is pulling those links from a Firefox server. And Firefox is supposed to be a privacy based web browser. Now we know that they are logging everything you do.
Brave's browser seems to have sold out, and can't be trusted. They try to appear to be privacy based, and yet (as our host demonstrated) you have to jump through hoops to hopefully minimize them tracking you. And will those setting changes make sites more easily track you?
    Maybe I will try Vivaldi?
I am not familiar with their browser. Is it stable? Is it private? Is it open source? It is compatible with the myriad of web sites out there?
It would be nice to have a Tor-like browser, that simply did not share your information; that alerted you when a site wants to save cookies, or anything else related to tracking / spying, and you could choose to allow or disallow. Additionally, there should be a simple way to change your mind; to go into wherever the browser is saving your choices, so that you can make changes.

Also, it's not the problem with the Brave directly. Developers think of new ways to make ads bypass shields. Then, browser developers need to devise new ways to stop that. It's okay if these workarounds require several weeks to be rolled out, considering the multimillion-user audience.

The advertising is also not supposed to target users, and there is no user data changing hands. And TBF, you will probably never see anonymous crypto on-ramps in the US due to evolving government policy; at least not reliable ones. I don't know much about Brave as I just started using it. But You mentioned that often times sites wont work with some of the trackers and or ad blockers disabled but work with other blockers. I would have to suspect that maybe it's because Brave is working vs the others might not be blocking the tracker or ad. That's my suspicions on it. Bu again, I literately just started using it. Also, you mentioned that the blockers will work for a while then stop working till next update. This sounds like its par for the course. It's a cat and mouse game. Once one method is figured out to send ads, then the ad blocker will have to figure out a way to counter it, then the Ad company finds a new solution to get around the new block and this will keep happening, this is essentially the same way viruses and malware work.

Vivaldi addblock sometimes replaces UA-cam add with 15 sec black screen, which is huge minus. Firefox won't work well in HeadFi music forums that have embedded links to video clips in YT, you pause 1 video and play another video the previous video keeps still downloading. After you play and paus 100 videos the smartphone will just crash. It doesn't happen every time, but Vivaldi seems faster.

Does Vivaldi allow extensions? I personally use Firefox on mobile because it has support for a (albeit limited) number of addons, including uBlock and Tampermonkey

You clearly haven't used the brave browser. If your top priority is adblocking and privacy, then Brave is top-notch and the best out there.

I've never had issues with UA-cam ads not being blocked, every once in a while it doesn't do it on random banner/feed ads but it's rare. Are you using an older package or not the official ppa?
Honestly I mean most people shouldn't use TOR to begin with.
I agree with the wallet, it is pretty dumb but hey crypto people
