I remember nothing else compared to this game as a kid.. no other game, disney movie, nothing.. I'd hate to think what would happen if I never found this at gamestop.. The music feels like a blast to the past back to childhood.
her name is Kairi, she's one of the co-protagonists, and secretly a crush of the protagonist Sora. She plays a vital role in the first game can't tell more without spoiling the story
I just realized...it's been way too freaking long since I played this game. And that was only about four months ago. There's something beautiful and awesome about the game that always lingers at the back of your mind. Well...here I come, KH2.
You know, when I played Kingdom Hearts II I compared this battle theme to Sora's while I played as him. I've noticed a significant difference. Roxas's music reflects a greater level of distress, as if he's fighting a foe that is not only unknown but has a feel of hopelessness(reflecting the Nobody's lithe and agile movements.) Sora's song, on the other hand, reflects a more cheerful and upbeat rhythm, as if this is some kind of a new game that's exciting and fun. That said, I prefer Roxas's.
Roxas is alone fighting a foe he's never heard of or seen before, I love your comment it captures the intensity the heart can endure when he's put to the test, much love brother 🖤
I have an elder sister who's 4 years older than me. When I got the first KH game when I was around 7-8 years she actually thought it looked great and interesting. When I was playing it I was already talking about that there should be a sequel and Disney films I would love to see (The Jungle Book, The Lion King, Snow White etc.). She doesn't play video games but she recognizes it (especially the soundtrack :) ). She said it would be cool to have one of Studio Gibhli's films like Spirited Away
This song means the time to grow into something new, something different. Feels like the start resembles young Sora while still wants to be part of something new. For Roxas, a struggle on the inside as the song develops, a struggle for a chance of existing in a world where he wasn't even supposed to be. He is himself and nothing less. He is Roxas.
I agree with this statement. However, as an OG-slut myself, I can also admit that the Remix versions have a "few" reiterations that is better than the original; those being the emotional tracks such as Other Promise or Missing You. As for battle tracks, well, just like for KH1 or FFX, they've completely ruined it. There is only 1 exception, and that is Field of Honor.
@@pkillerx I absolutely disagree with The Other Promise: people seem to like it because it uses more instruments and sounds prettier; when in fact it should sound more intense, more gut-wrenching - as it's a song made within the context of sadness, betrayal, desperation, loneliness. The remix misses those components.
While Hand in Hand gives the sensation of big joy of beggining an adventure, this one gives the sensation of regret and despair of something bad will happen soon, but you don't know what is it. This sagas woldn't be the same without Yoko Simomura.
I wonder if this opinion still holds up for you, almost twelve years later? I still rate this song pretty highly, myself, but I think the final 'world' of Kingdom Hearts III--Edge of Existence--might have this track beat in my heart.
@@crackedmateria4991 I think it's tied between this, Fragments of Sorrow (KH1) and any of the Scherzo di Notte themes. Even though i'm no longer a fan of the series 11 years later, the soundtrack still holds a special place in my heart.
I agree with Tafalgar. Disney mixed with Final Fantasy was an ingenious idea. A masterpiece. With something that already looks silly with a side of anime, so far marvel super hero comics movies, ect all looks serious with maybe a small pinch of sarcasm. Kingdom Hearts wouldn't feel the same with spiderman or captain america all over the place being serious. Anime games need sarcasm and silliness.
You know what.. If anyone says that this game sucks, be it your young cousins, sisters, relatives, friends. For young relatives, they still have a long way to go in gaming, for friends, they had no childhood, nothing but FPS Games..
@TinaTiny24 same here... when i first fought the landshaker(2nd boss in pride lands), i jsut LOVED the music....and i also loved the fact you got to destroy a giant rock...thing...
nah, i liked that they added FF7 characters to the game, i for one can totally see a FF7 comeback in a game which may entail fighting the world of Kingdom hearts, like Final Fantasy Vs Kingdom hearts, or soul calibur or something
@wrathofautumn I thought is was a nice touch to put in the CoM music for the guy that wasn't supposed to exist. It has a deeper meaning for the people that hated Com, i.e. ME.
Nice job, mariutunio. This version is a lot longer than the ones I listen to on UA-cam. I like this one better than the one for Sora after beating Roxas's story in Kingdom Hearts II.
People, Marvel is part of Disney now. I think it would be awesome to have Sora battle alongside The Avengers, X-Men or Spiderman. Marvel World will completely revolutionize Kingdom Hearts !!!
If they can realize the graphics of this image for Kingdom Hearts III, I will seriously consider buying a PS4. That and they need to bring back Twilight Town.
I know no futuristic world would be as good as Space Paranoids, but in my opinion, it shouldn't be overexploited because it would become dull, just like Halloween Town or Wonderland, these ones are not bad worlds but they are overused.
@wrathofautumn I really agree. I only like Sora's because it sounds like he's happy to be saving the world. xD I love Roxas's because the melody sounds like he's trying to defeat himself before he's trying to defeat the enemies.

Too bad they didn't keep this battle theme for Sora. It fits more of a battle theme then the one Sora gets in Twilight Town.
