Thank you~ This is the most simple, straight forward approach to patterns. I've bought so many courses and Skillshare classes about this. I finally get it. This is the way for me. Thanks!
A million thanks! This video saved me hours of headache. I was about to go back to designer to pay to have them do this for me. This is perfect for resizing my pattern for various products. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I have been trying to learn to make patterns on PS forever, but it always seemed so confusing. Your tutorial has made it very clear, and I just finished my first pattern! :)
Thank you for posting this. Really useful to quickly find the info I needed. I totally had forgotten how to make patterns in Photoshop. A nice simple straight forward tutorial.
Thank you so much! This tutorial is so helpful! I thought only Illustrator was making it easy to do, but ahhh, Photoshop too has the option. This is great. Thank you again.
oh my god, thank you very very much! you teach much better than my school teacher does! Also, your instructions are quick and simple to understand. Thanks a lot! :)
Omg thank you so much! This is the tutorial that i’ve been looking for. So easy to understand as i have been trying with many others and it doesn’t work really well with my design. Thank you thank you thank you sooooo much 💕💕💕💕
Can I ask how you are adding elements (the unicorn, stars, etc) directly into the new seamless file? I can only seem to do so by using the "place embedded" file. You bring up a menu with lots of PNG files and you're able to add multiple at a time. What access point do you use to do this?
Thank you for a great tutorial. You gave me confidence to do this myself, when I was about to log on to fiverr and outsource it. So proud of myself, but somehow the opacity went out of whack and it is barely visible. I cannot sort how to adjust the opacity. It just isn't available.
You are a wonderful teacher! I've struggled to find a clear and smart video about creating seamless pattern. So happy to find yours. Thank you. Subscribed!
Thank you for your video!! I was wondering - what kind of elements can you bring into photoshop and work wit? If you're exporting pattern elements from Procreate do you want to export them as .psd files or jpg? Tiff? THANK YOU!
I usually export them from Procreate as PDF because I use them in Illustrator. You can use PSD for Photoshop. PNG and TIFF will also work. I don't recommend JPEGs because they might not have the best quality and they will also have a background.
First of all, Thank you, lovely explanation and sample. I would love to understand why does it matter what resolution do you put when you are choosing a 400/400 pixel document ? :) as far as I understand - it 400 / 400 whether is 2 dpi or 300 dpi ... :) Second, in 2024, why would you work in CMYK in photoshop - something that limits everything you do and make much bigger documents. Why not tp use the color setting + the proof preview and keep ll the options open ? Thx. D
I've been avoiding learning seamless for awhile now. First video that came up and this was the easiest thing I've ever avoided learning. So thank you!
Thank you~ This is the most simple, straight forward approach to patterns. I've bought so many courses and Skillshare classes about this. I finally get it. This is the way for me. Thanks!

Really good tut :). Only minor thing is that i would use "convert to smart object" other then flatten... Then you can go back and make changes.
