    Lyrics:
    Are we numb?
    Pure intensity shaped like a gun
    Fired at the world through a volatile tongue
    Now, I'm chained to distress with a hole in my head
    Bleeding out all the wrongs
    Sell the truth
    Cut your mouth again
    Our world's in question when you battle my nerves at the center
    There's no more questioning
    We all hide under lines to strengthen our spine
    There's no place in the sun
    We're losing our minds
    Are we content?
    Overbearing when nothing makes sense
    I've got no one but myself to judge
    Now, I'm chained to distress with a hole in my head
    Bleeding out all the wrongs
    Our urgencies collide and a warning sign hangs on
    They breathe amongst the weak
    Enough to disarm and cause lovers to fear and fall
    Open up your arms
    Open up your heart
    I love you enough to disarm

      @@gilgamessianic Why, his style is very cool. He may not be the best vocalist but he fits the style very well, which is more important, but they went instrumental now anyways.

    I think it was very smart of Night Verses to release this as the first single of their album. It has many of the elements that set Into the Vanishing Light apart from Lift Your Existence, yet the composition mirrors that of Lift Your Existence's songs. It's kind of like someone took the song "Rage" along with some similar Night Verses songs, mixed them together, and warped and distorted them until they sounded like something out of a fever dream.

    Many might not like the comparison but I'm getting a mega "Heroine" (From First to Last) album vibe from this. And I think that's fuckin great. I've always loved that album and I can see a lot of similar qualities in this. Dig it so much.

    why do the drums on this album sound like they are wrapped in blankets

    • @meowtherainbowx4163
      @meowtherainbowx4163 8 років тому +1

      It's probably just a stylistic choice. It helps with the fuzzy tone that they're going for. Despite this, I can still feel quite a bit of intensity from this song.

    • @mastershake9374
      @mastershake9374 8 років тому

      i gues its becouse the snare is tuned down like a meshuggah guitar.. i think lift your existence sounds way better. which is dissapointing. i had high regards for ross robinson

    • @meowtherainbowx4163
      @meowtherainbowx4163 8 років тому

      +Gabe man Eh, it's your opinion. I actually think Into the Vanishing Light was an improvement over Lift Your Existence because it was shorter and had more variety. I will agree that the production can make the songs a bit disorienting.

    • @mastershake9374
      @mastershake9374 8 років тому +3

      i think the songs are really strong and many parts remind me of the great at the drive in. it just has a rather dull qualitix and the bass is very loud. so just production wise, lift your existence has a much crsiper and clearer sound. im really having trouble getting into the new album because that snare is so offending to my ears. i know its a personal thing, i just hate snare tuned that low...

    • @meowtherainbowx4163
      @meowtherainbowx4163 8 років тому

      +Gabe man Yeah, I hate it when I want to love something but I just can't. For example, I thought ONE OK ROCK's newest album was pretty good, but John Feldmann's production was mostly what kept it from being great. Whereas I like the production on Into the Vanishing Light because it's a well-defined style that I like, ONE OK ROCK's album had all sorts of weird effects slapped onto Taka's vocals like autotune and excessive reverb, despite the fact that he can actually sing. Also, the guitar and bass were often watered down to the point that they were either boring to listen to or obscured by all the random electronic noises and vocals. It's the kind of nonsense that's meant to make music accessible and mainstream, as though most people can't handle rock music as it was supposed to be heard. This just goes to show how important production is and how you shouldn't overdo it.
