Lyrics:
Are we numb?
Pure intensity shaped like a gun
Fired at the world through a volatile tongue
Now, I'm chained to distress with a hole in my head
Bleeding out all the wrongs
Sell the truth
Cut your mouth again
Our world's in question when you battle my nerves at the center
There's no more questioning
We all hide under lines to strengthen our spine
There's no place in the sun
We're losing our minds
Are we content?
Overbearing when nothing makes sense
I've got no one but myself to judge
Now, I'm chained to distress with a hole in my head
Bleeding out all the wrongs
Our urgencies collide and a warning sign hangs on
They breathe amongst the weak
Enough to disarm and cause lovers to fear and fall
Open up your arms
Open up your heart
I love you enough to disarm

how the hell is this band not super popular.....more people need to hear this song. it's amazing.
If it doesn't happen this record. People are just dumb
duprt popoulstr is me
Chef Gordon I had never heard of them until I saw them live with Memphis may fire. these guys are legit live.
It's the vocalist
@@gilgamessianic Why, his style is very cool. He may not be the best vocalist but he fits the style very well, which is more important, but they went instrumental now anyways.
I’ll listen through this album a few times a month... Still my favorite album in 2021.
I have narcolepsy and cataplexy. This song and video explain how you feel exactly when dealing with this disease. 🖤🙏🏽
I still think the release of this album and video (along with their previous) is a groundbreaking achievement in music history, really. What albums with meaning and passion!
Amen 😊
HOLY SHIT.
This was brilliant
holy god
Um.... WOW! I searched for this band because I read about the drummer being one of the best prog drummers. Well, he is, and the band is amazing!!!! Thanks for posting this!
Caught these guys live. Killer experience. If you ever get the chance to, DO IT.
Dude you have good taste in music man. You're everywhere I go on here haha
I think it was very smart of Night Verses to release this as the first single of their album. It has many of the elements that set Into the Vanishing Light apart from Lift Your Existence, yet the composition mirrors that of Lift Your Existence's songs. It's kind of like someone took the song "Rage" along with some similar Night Verses songs, mixed them together, and warped and distorted them until they sounded like something out of a fever dream.
I always wonder what thursday and enter shikari would sound like if they had a baby and this is it
Aric Improta is a drum GOD
FUCK. this is epic. Incredibly unique sound, awesome vid that matches the punch that this song packs. Great mix too.
They're fucking back, baby.
really loving this album!
That breakdown, though
THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING
is m namazing
The beginning reminds me of a scene from the movie "Beyond the black rainbow"
That was their inspiration for the entire album! They would play with that film on in the room and create this masterpiece.
2023 - still amazing... i'm so sorry they don't play together anymore. i've seen them live in 2014, great, great times.
Not usually my genre, but this is awesome. What a talented band with a sick video.
never heard of these guys. saw them last year with crown the empire. they put on a really good show. they won me over.
That video intro reminds me beyond the black rainbow movie.
Great work💪🤘
Arrival sounds perfect!
WOW!! Totally awesome!
they weren't fucking joking about seizures, Jesus Christ (pbah)
ig i vcerte you i will nbr yupou
0:58 this shot reminds me Jane Doe album cover from converge
Many might not like the comparison but I'm getting a mega "Heroine" (From First to Last) album vibe from this. And I think that's fuckin great. I've always loved that album and I can see a lot of similar qualities in this. Dig it so much.
That's probably because of Ross Robinson, who produced Heroine aswell. Definitely got a similar vibe, just with NV's slightly more technical ability
Love the song & the Video!!
Both albums are awesome but I still love Be Happy With Yourself... the best!! haha
Solid 🤘🏻
Wooooow
That was fucking dope.
Well I can tell these guys didn't come here to fuck spiders.

@equalvision who is the beautiful model that the band decided to use as the main piece for the video and album art?
Anthonys World that's aric improta's (the drummer here) girlfriend
Imagine being the editor for this video. Ouch
Not my kind of music... but this song is fun.
Ow.
I didn't get a seizure, but I did get a headache😏
Reminds me.alot of singer of the sleeping is that him ?
Yes it is
name your favorite band below or music artist :D mine is new years day paramore porcelain black and avril lavigne

***** lol itsd ok
Black veil brides
Some of my favorite bands are The White Noise, Ice Nine Kills, The Ghost Inside, Hands Like Houses, Terror, Nine Inch Nails, and Suicide Silence
L'Arc~en~Ciel is probably my favorite, though X JAPAN is a very close second. This album has bumped Night Verses up from eighth to seventh place on my list.
ARNING: This video may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. or just normal folks!!!!!
Video would have been perfect if they destroyed the cube they were playing in during the climax of the song.
I have Cataplexy and this song has nothing to do with it. They don't know a thing about it.
Seizure's worth it...
WTF just happpen
I'm sorry, but this is so uncomfortable to watch.
Fairly certain that's the point.
Guess I won't tell you to watch beyond the black rainbow then ?
I downloaded that film after watching the trailer after reading this comment
is the movie any good, recommend?
The singer ruins it
the matthatter since the vocalist left, their new album in 2018 is an absolute beast of an instrumental album.
why do the drums on this album sound like they are wrapped in blankets
It's probably just a stylistic choice. It helps with the fuzzy tone that they're going for. Despite this, I can still feel quite a bit of intensity from this song.
i gues its becouse the snare is tuned down like a meshuggah guitar.. i think lift your existence sounds way better. which is dissapointing. i had high regards for ross robinson
+Gabe man Eh, it's your opinion. I actually think Into the Vanishing Light was an improvement over Lift Your Existence because it was shorter and had more variety. I will agree that the production can make the songs a bit disorienting.
i think the songs are really strong and many parts remind me of the great at the drive in. it just has a rather dull qualitix and the bass is very loud. so just production wise, lift your existence has a much crsiper and clearer sound. im really having trouble getting into the new album because that snare is so offending to my ears. i know its a personal thing, i just hate snare tuned that low...
+Gabe man Yeah, I hate it when I want to love something but I just can't. For example, I thought ONE OK ROCK's newest album was pretty good, but John Feldmann's production was mostly what kept it from being great. Whereas I like the production on Into the Vanishing Light because it's a well-defined style that I like, ONE OK ROCK's album had all sorts of weird effects slapped onto Taka's vocals like autotune and excessive reverb, despite the fact that he can actually sing. Also, the guitar and bass were often watered down to the point that they were either boring to listen to or obscured by all the random electronic noises and vocals. It's the kind of nonsense that's meant to make music accessible and mainstream, as though most people can't handle rock music as it was supposed to be heard. This just goes to show how important production is and how you shouldn't overdo it.
singer sounds really familiar....
John Crichton yes he sounds like the singer of the sleeping
Nath Charles yes! Is that him? Has to be.
Watching again swear it's him
Nath Charles it is, thanks for telling me
saw these guys open for envy on the coast in boston a few years ago, i feel like im the only one who prefers them w a vocalist lmao
he kinda sounds like bemis from say anything?
I thought I was the only one who noticed this. He really sounds like Max!
