I may have misspoke in the video. The first Nord Lead model was released in ‘95, later referred to as the Nord Lead 1 after the Lead 2 was released. The model A1 was indeed released in 2014, but this Need synth plugin hearkens all the way back to the early virtual analog days :)
The first analog synth was released in 1920’s. Piano invented several centuries ago. In Psalms (Old testament) we reed about cymbals and 6 (any number) string instruments. So we are all talking about some archaic sounds isn’t it?
Hey David, thanks for Nerd iPad app review! What recommendations do you have for an iPad app with amazing natural piano and string sounds compatible with Sunday Sounds.
Hi, the app is the pure synth sounds. The Pianos and other samples are copyrighted by NORD. But if you're looking for the synth engine, this is a good option!
hi David! What version of iPad do you recommend to use the app? I want to buy one in the next few days and also Sundays Sun keys. Greetings from Brazil
You can use the onscreen mod wheel if you’d like, or head to “Midi Learn” in the App’s Menu to make a Midi Learn connection to any physical knob, fader, or pedal that sends Midi CC data.
It’d be illegal for anyone to create or offer a plugin that uses recordings of Nord’s copyrighted sample library for their instruments, so we definitely wouldn’t recommend any plugin doing so! Nerd synth is fundamentally different, with all the sounds coming from virtual oscillators like the original Nord Lead units!

There are a lot of options. Personally I like Keyscape or Addictive Keys for a cheaper alternative. Elevation Worship often uses the Royal Grand 3D Nord patch for a warm piano with a lot of character, and those two do those pretty well.
Beautiful playing, you're really making the NERD Synth sing. It's an honor and pleasure to see you play it 🙏 - Matthew from AudioKit
Waiting for church worship keyboard rig reviews with Nord stage as a midi keyboard for an iPad running sunday keys app with Nord sounds.
It’ll be angry comment inception!
Definitely need the Nord sounds in the iPad Sunday Keys app. Let the flame wars begin!
Just make sure to use the 88 key Nord. Anything else is blasphemy.
lol
it became soooooo boring :(
this is aweomse. i had no idea sunday keys could run third party plug ins. this just opens up so many doors for me. thank you!
Great to hear!
This is really cool!
I see a bright future in which I will finally be able to use our Nord Stage 2 MIDI controller to play a Nord Stage 2 emulation in Sunday Keys!
Wow never knew the Lead 1 synth was an iPad plugin. I have always heard of the plugins on computers, but never on an iPad.
It’s a very cool plugin, worth checking out and a very good price!
Nord Lead A1 was introduced in 2014. You're talking about the original Nord Lead 1
For sure, I misspoke during the video!
@@SundaySounds sorry if I had a harsh tone, it was a quick comment
Just one small correction. The Lead A1 came out in 2014.

This is awesome. Does it come with Nord's famous piano tones?

Any iPad with an "M" series chip will do great!
Holy nice - I know the Nord Lead A1 special for Loveparade Songs e.g It is time or Destroy She Said .... or Rocco/-Bass-T
Like the update. Was seeing if there were an easy way to use Mod Wheel. Since my keyboard doesnt have one.
I use an Expression foot pedal so I can keep my hands free for playing. Works like a charm!

@@SundaySounds Thank You.
Is there a demo version?
where the nerd is the.....lerd is? just doesnt work
😂
Sorry but how do you connect the keyboard to the iPad? Thanks
Does this plugin (or another) offer the Nord piano sounds too? Looking for one of those

Is there any app for good worship synth sounds on samsung/android pad or windows that you may know of for my keyboard? ty
How do i deal with latency. Im using sunday keys app with ipad 2022 10th gen with iPadOS 17.5.1?
We have some tips in the SK App User Manual. You can check it out on our site and let us know if you need a hand.
Why only ipad/apple? How about android?
What is the best vst for nord stage piano sound?

Pianoteq 8 is the best sounding piano app by far in any platform at the moment. Ravenscroft is a distant 2nd, or pure piano depending on your needs.

@@x3a3x3Wow, Pianoteq8 sampled pianos over Keyscape and Native. Interesting
Can this app work on Android phone
is it possible to add this on the mac version?
Historically the folks at AudioKit only release their Apps for iPad and iPhone. It’d be awesome if they decided to support Mac too, someday!
