I’ve been drumming for 35 years and according to bands I’ve played with, have raised their level of technical precision. THIS LADY IS SO FAR BEYOND ME that it gives me a headache. I love Neil Peart (RIP) but he is not the greatest drummer ever. Playing to RUSH (tom sawyer / YYZ) is one thing (an awesome thing) but playing to Dream Theater requires a whole different level of skill. Look at Jazz drummers, like Steve Smith. Neil peart studied with a jazz master at the end of his career because Jazz requires not only technical ability but a “feel” that is not easily achieved.
